Aristoserratine, a New Indole Alkaloid from Aristotelia serrata W.R.B. OLIVER and from A. peduncularis (LABILL .) HOOK . F. The new indole alkaloid aristoserratine (2) has been isolated from Aristotelia. Its structure and absolute configuration were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.     

Hausdorff-summability of power series II

Let H _x a regular Hausdorff method and P(w)=∑ a_k w^k a power series with positive radius of convergence. A theorem of Okada states that P(w) is summable (H _x ) for w in a certain starshaped region G(H _x ,P). We call G=G(H _x ,P) the exact region of summability for P if summability cannot hold for any w \( \in \bar G\) Okada's theorem is said to be sharp for H_x if G(H_x,P) is the exact region of summability for any P. Three items are treated: 1. Criteria for Okada's theorem to be sharp are given in terms of the distribution function X (t) and the Mellin transform \(D(z) = \int\limits_0^1 {t^z d\chi (t)} \) . 2. When is Okada's theorem sharp for product methods? 3. Special classes of functions P(w) are indicated such that G(H_x, P) is the exact region of summability for any H_x. We use the notations of “Hausdorff-Summability of Power Series I” referred as “I”.     

A note on the hilbertfunction of a one-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay ring

In this note we give examples of one-dimensional noetherian local integral domains with the property that the number of generators of the square of the maximal ideal is less than the embedding dimension. On the other hand we show that if \((R,m)\) is a local one-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay ring, then \((m^n )\) for all n such that μ \((m^n )\) < m(R). Here μ denotes the minimal number of generators of an ideal and m(R) the multiplicity of R. A similar statement was conjectured by D. Sally in [5], Our main result 2.1 generalizes Prop. 2.6. in [6].     

Principles of the Design of Straining Stages

The paper describes the elastic properties of tensile stages for the HVEM. The quality of the force control depends on the accuracy of the drives related to the maximum elongation as well as on the elastic compliance of the stage. The best accuracy of the load is obtained in soft stages. The fundamental operation of a soft and a hard stage is reviewed. These stages use a special thermal drive.

Abstract

Reactions of carbonyl cyclopentadienyl hydrides from molybdenum and tungsten with 1,4-diphosphabuta-1,3-diene yield metalla-diphospha-pentadiene with a metal-phosphorus-double bond.

Metalla-diphosphapentadiene mit einer Metall-Phosphor-Doppelbindung werden durch Umsetzung von Carbonylcyclopentadienylhydriden des Molybdäns und Wolframs mit einem 1,4-Diphospha-buta-1,3-dien erhalten.     

Towards a finite element simulation of coating by means of thermal spraying

Metal sheet forming processes like deep drawing are applied in order to produce carriage parts in mass production. Therefore, forming tools are required that are well protected against wear. For such forming tools, wear resistant surfaces are, e.g., produced by thermal spraying of hard material coatings. The thermal spraying process itself is a highly transient thermo-mechanical process. In order to gain a better understanding of the heat input and transfer during thermal spraying, a simulation framework for thermal spraying processes is presented. (© 2015 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Automated and rapid online determination of 15N abundance and concentration of ammonium, nitrite, or nitrate in aqueous samples by the SPINMAS technique

On the basis of the principle of reaction continuous-flow quadrupole mass spectrometry, an automated sample preparation unit for inorganic nitrogen (SPIN) species was developed and coupled to a quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (MAS). The SPINMAS technique was designed for an automated, sensitive, and rapid determination of 15N abundance and concentration of a wide variety of N-species involved in nitrogen cycling (e.g. NH4+, NO3-, NH2OH etc.). In this paper, the SPINMAS technique is evaluated with regard to the determination of 15N abundance and concentration of the most fundamental inorganic nitrogen compounds in ecosystems such as NH4+, NO2-, and NO3-. The presented paper describes the newly developed system in detail and demonstrates the general applicability of the system. For a precise determination of 15N abundance and concentration, a minimum total N-amount of 10 microg NH4+ - N, 0.03 microg NO2- - N, or 0.3 microg NO3- - N has to be supplied. Currently, the SPINMAS technique represents the most rapid and only fully automated all-round method for a simultaneous determination of 15N abundance and total N-amount of NH4+, NO2-, or NO3- in aqueous samples.
