The enzymatic hydrolysis of cotton raw cellulose (RC) samples, sieved RC samples through meshes <100 (CS1), 100–200 (C12), 200–400 (C24), mercerized RC samples (M-C), freeze-dried RC (RC-FD) samples, microcrystalline cellulose Avicel, bacterial cellulose (BC), raw sisal pulp and mercerized sisal pulp (S-M) was performed at cellulose-to-cellulase mass ratios of 1,000:1, 699:1, 400:1, 100:1 and 10:1. The index of crystallinity and water sorption values were quantified for all samples. The morphological features were analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). For cellulose-to-cellulase mass ratio of 100:1 and 10:1, the maximum hydrolysis extents of cellulose samples after 24 h reaction could not be correlated with their physical characteristics. However, hydrolyses of samples with large water sorption values were faster than those with lower water sorption values. The hydrolysis efficiency decreased when the cellulose-to-cellulase mass ratio was greater than 400:1; under this condition a remarkable dependence of the hydrolysis yield on the type of cellulosic sample was observed. The water sorption ability could be directly correlated with the hydrolysis extent, except for RC-FD and BC samples, which presented the lowest values. In the former, freeze-drying has led to pore collapse, with concomitant reduction of the amount of adsorbed water. For the latter sample, the densely packed structure made the water sorption slower than in all other samples. Despite of this fact, the presence of nanofibrils on the surface of BC (as detected by SEM) improved the enzyme adsorption, indicating that analysis by complementary techniques should be performed in order to predict the enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency. 相似文献
Optical emission spectroscopy and mass spectrometry was used to characterize gaseous plasma in an industrial reactor of volume 5 m3 during deposition of protective coatings. Plasma was created in mixtures of hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) and oxygen at the powers between 1 and 8 kW. The plasma density was somehow below 1014 m?3. The flows of both gases were varied up to 200 sccm while the effective pumping speed was adjusted by changing the roots pump rotation speed between 250 and 4000 rpm. At such conditions the HMDSO was only partially dissociated to fragments. The behaviour of optical emission lines and mass ion currents was well correlated indicating that even one single technique was sufficient to monitor the behaviour of plasma at various discharge conditions. The optical emission spectroscopy as a simple and economic method is therefore suitable for controlling key processing parameters in such a plasma reactor.
In this work, we report the synthesis, X-ray structures, and optical properties of two DDNP analogs containing an unsaturated spacer inserted between the donor N,N-dimethylamino group and the naphthalene ring. The new compounds have longer distances between the donor and acceptor groups and are intended to serve as molecular probes for the assessment of spatial and polarity requirements for binding to protein aggregates found in the central nervous system (CNS) of patients with neurodegenerative diseases. 相似文献
This study presents a new DEP manipulation technique using a movable liquid electrode, which allows manipulation of particles by actively controlling the locations of electrodes and applying on–off electric input signals. This DEP system consists of mercury as a movable liquid electrode, indium tin oxide (ITO)‐coated glass, SU‐8‐based microchannels for electrode passages, and a PDMS medium chamber. A simple squeezing method was introduced to build a thin PDMS layer at the bottom of the medium chamber to create a contactless DEP system. To determine the operating conditions, the DEP force and the friction force were analytically compared for a single cell. In addition, an appropriate frequency range for effective DEP manipulation was chosen based on an estimation of the Clausius–Mossotti factor and the effective complex permittivity of the yeast cell using the concentric shell model. With this system, we demonstrated the active manipulation of yeast cells, and measured the collection efficiency and the dielectrophoretic velocity of cells for different AC electric field strengths and applied frequencies. The experimental results showed that the maximum collection efficiency reached was approximately 90%, and the dielectrophoretic velocity increased with increasing frequency and attained the maximum value of 10.85 ± 0.95 μm/s at 100 kHz, above which it decreased. 相似文献
The directed self‐assembly of gold nanoparticles through the crystallization of surface‐grafted polyethylene oxide (PEO) in ethanol–water mixtures is described. This process is fully reversible and tunable through either the size of the core or the polymeric coating. Characterization by X‐ray scattering and electron microscopy of the self‐assembled structures reveals order at the nanoscale, typically not the case for thermoresponsive gold nanoparticles coated with lower or upper critical solution temperature polymers. A further novelty is the result of selective binding of calcium ions to the PEO in the fluid state: a reversible thermoresponsive transition become irreversible.
A novel strategy for the synthesis of (1-alkanoyloxy-4-alkanoylaminobutylidene)-1,1-bisphosphonic acid derivatives (1a-d) via (1-hydroxy-4-alkanoylaminobutylidene)-1,1-bisphosphonic acid derivatives (2a-d), starting from alendronate has been developed with reasonable 51-77% overall yields. Intermediate products, (1-hydroxy-4-alkanoylaminobutylidene)-1,1-bisphosphonic acid derivatives (2a-d), were prepared in water with reasonable to high yields (52-94%). 相似文献
The solubility of carbon dioxide in aqueous solutions of alkanolamines was measured by means of two experimental methods. The solubility of carbon dioxide was measured at 298 K with a static total pressure apparatus in solutions of water + diisopropanolamine (DIPA) having mass fraction of DIPA equal to 10.1%, 11.0% and 33.9%. The density of the water + DIPA solution was measured continuously during the experiments to investigate the changes in density introduced by the absorption of carbon dioxide. A correlation for the density of CO2-loaded aqueous solutions of DIPA is presented. 相似文献

1,3‐Dipolar cycloaddition reactions of N‐methyl‐C‐arylnitrones with N‐phenyl‐ or N‐methylmaleimide were studied. The reaction of p‐dimethylamino‐, 4‐benzyloxy‐3‐methoxy‐, p‐nitro‐ and p‐chloro‐substituted phenylnitrones with N‐phenylmaleimide gave cis and trans cycloadducts but that of the corresponding phenylnitrones with N‐methylmaleimides only the cis adducts in the case of p‐dimethylamino and 4‐benzyloxy‐3‐methoxy substitution. All cis adducts attain a biased conformation whereas the trans forms are shown (by 1H NMR at 233 K and 13C NMR at 208 K) to be mixtures of two invertomers, namely o‐(N‐lone pair antiperiplanar to 3H; minor) and i‐conformations (3H‐C‐C‐3aH dihedral angle close to 90°; major). PM3 and DFT calculations at the B3LYP/6–31G(d) level of theory prove qualitatively that these two conformers of the trans adduct are of comparable stability and represent energy minima. 相似文献
