The technique we propose for solving ill-conditioned linear systems consists of two steps. First we compute the regularized solution on some values of the regularization parameter . Then we use these solutions either to extrapolate at =0 or to estimate the regularized solution with determined by the generalized cross validation or by the L-curve method.  相似文献

Results of the 1999 experiments on receiving radio-frequency signals from the SURA and EISCAT facilities on the WIND spacecraft at 5475 kHz are presented. Power and frequency distortions imposed by near-Earth plasmas on the response of SURA-EISCAT, an active decameter radio interferometer with a superlong baseline of 2000 km, are studied. Quasi-oscillatory variations in the intensity of the received radiation with a period of several tenths of a second and the corresponding maximum in the intensity fluctuation spectrum are observed during synchronized operation of the facilities under both quiet and perturbed geophysical conditions including the occurrence of mid-latitude F spread. Variations in the mean frequency of the spectral line both because of the motion of the spacecraft and the large-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances are detected. The obtained results are compared with the modern theoretical concept of propagation of short radio waves in a randomly irregular ionospheric plasma. The possibility to realize the limiting angular resolution of a ground-based decameter interferometer with a superlong baseline for observations of discrete space radio sources is discussed.  相似文献

Electron-hole mixing-induced fine structure in alkaline earth hexaborides leads to lower energy (temperature) scales, and thus a stronger tendency toward an excitonic instability than in their doped counterparts (viz. Ca1-xLaxB6, x approximately 0.005), which are high-Curie-temperature, small-moment ferromagnets. Comparison of Fermi surfaces and spectral distributions with de Haas-van Alphen, optical, transport, and tunneling data indicates that SrB6 remains a fermionic semimetal down to (at least) 5 K, rather than forming an excitonic condensate. For the doped system the Curie temperature is higher than the degeneracy temperature.  相似文献

Generic computer simulations using empiric interatomic potentials suggest a new, collective mechanism that could be responsible for mixing at heteroepitaxial interfaces. Even if single adsorbate atoms diffuse by hopping on the substrate surface and do not mix at the terraces, two-dimensional islands formed by nucleation may become unstable above a certain critical size and explode upwards forming clusters of several atomic layers. This process is accompanied by strong distortions of the underlying atomic layers, and on soft materials it can result in surface etching and incorporation of substrate atoms into the islands.  相似文献

Detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) is a scaling method commonly used for detecting long-range correlations in non-stationary time series. The DFA method uses a trend based on polynomial fitting to extract and quantify fluctuations at different time scales. Basically, such procedure acts as a (non-dynamical) high-pass filter that removes time series components below a given time scale. As an alternative to the polynomial fitting approach, this paper proposes a DFA method based on well-known high-pass filters (e.g., Butterworth, elliptic, etc.). Numerical results show that the proposed DFA approach yields results similar to traditional DFA method. Maybe, the main advantage of the proposed DFA method is that efficient implementations of high-pass filters are available commercially.  相似文献

The alloys between a transition metal and a rare earth present magnetic and magneto optical properties of exceptional interest for the production of magnetic devices for information storage. In this work we report the magnetic and structural properties, obtained by Mössbauer spectrometry (MS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), of Tb0.257?x Nd x Fe0.743 alloys with x?=?0 and 0.257 prepared by mechanical alloying during 12, 24 and 48 h, to study the influence of the milling time in their magnetic and structural properties. The X-rays results show for all the samples that the α-Fe and an amorphous phase are always present. The first decreases and the second increases with the increase of the milling time. Mössbauer results show that the amorphous phase in samples with Nd is ferromagnetic and appears as a hyperfine field distribution and a broad doublet, and that as the milling time increases the paramagnetic contribution increases. For samples with Tb the amorphous phase is paramagnetic and appears as a broad doublet which increases with the milling time and for 48 h milling it appears an additional broad singlet.  相似文献

Poly(N-tert-butylacrylamide) (PNtBAm) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) form interpolymer complexes in 1- and 2-propanol, blend in ethanol, whereas a segregative phase separation is observed when using methanol as solvent as shown by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and elemental analysis studies. The composition of PNtBAm/PAA complexes has been determined. Thermal studies demonstrated that all complexes show unique glass transition temperatures, higher than those of the polymer components. Complexation of PAA with PNtBAm results in an improvement of its thermal stability. Solvent effects and specific interactions in the system PNtBAm/PAA have been studied by FTIR, revealing that differences in the polymer–solvent interactions are a decisive factor governing complex formation in solution.  相似文献

In this paper the optimization of additively decomposed discrete functions is investigated. For these functions genetic algorithms have exhibited a poor performance. First the schema theory of genetic algorithms is reformulated in probability theory terms. A schema defines the structure of a marginal distribution. Then the conceptual algorithm BEDA is introduced. BEDA uses a Boltzmann distribution to generate search points. From BEDA a new algorithm, FDA, is derived. FDA uses a factorization of the distribution. The factorization captures the structure of the given function. The factorization problem is closely connected to the theory of conditional independence graphs. For the test functions considered, the performance of FDA—in number of generations till convergence—is similar to that of a genetic algorithm for the OneMax function. This result is theoretically explained.  相似文献

It is reported the production and characterization of silica nano-particles by Californian-red worms through a bio-digestion process of rice husk; the rice husk contains, naturally, high concentrations of silica (22%). The worms were fed gradually with rice husk and water during 5 months to clean the worm’s digestive system from other types of food. The humus was collected, dried at room temperature, pH neutralized and calcined at different temperatures (500, 600 and 700 °C) to remove the organic matter. The calcined humus was digested to remove traces of inorganic compounds. The size of the silica particles was in the range from 55 to 250 nm depending on calcination temperatures. The efficiency in the production of the particles was 88%. These results were compared with those obtained using other agro-industrial wastes that contain silica: coffee (12%) and cane (8%) husk. The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, EDS, DLS, SEM and TEM.  相似文献
