A new procedure for spectrofluorimetric determination of free and total glycerol in biodiesel samples is presented. It is based on the oxidation of glycerol by periodate, forming formaldehyde, which reacts with acetylacetone, producing the luminescent 3,5-diacetyl-1,4-dihydrolutidine. A flow system with solenoid micro-pumps is proposed for solution handling. Free glycerol was extracted off-line from biodiesel samples with water, and total glycerol was converted to free glycerol by saponification with sodium ethylate under sonication. For free glycerol, a linear response was observed from 5 to 70 mg L−1 with a detection limit of 0.5 mg L−1, which corresponds to 2 mg kg−1 in biodiesel. The coefficient of variation was 0.9% (20 mg L−1, n = 10). For total glycerol, samples were diluted on-line, and the linear response range was 25 to 300 mg L−1. The detection limit was 1.4 mg L−1 (2.8 mg kg−1 in biodiesel) with a coefficient of variation of 1.4% (200 mg L−1, n = 10). The sampling rate was ca. 35 samples h−1 and the procedure was applied to determination of free and total glycerol in biodiesel samples from soybean, cottonseed, and castor beans.  相似文献

Cellulose phosphate (CELLPHOS) was studied as a collector for analytical preconcentration of traces of Cd(II), Cr(III), Cu(II) and Ni(II) from aqueous sample solution. It has been proved that using chromatographic columns packed with CELLPHOS for preconcentration and 1.0 mol 1(-1) HCl for elution the adsorbed analytes are quantitatively enriched. An enrichment factor of 20 (100 ml sample, 5 ml concentrate) was achieved by this separation procedure, which was applied to a series of water analyses (river, sea, bog water).  相似文献

Labile metal species in aquatic humic substances (HSs) were characterized by ion exchange on cellulose phosphate (CellPhos) by applying an optimized batch procedure. The HSs investigated were pre-extracted from humic-rich waters by ultrafiltration and a resin XAD 8 procedure. The HS-metal species studied were formed by complexation with Cd(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II) and Pb(II) as a function of time and the ratio ions to HSs. The kinetics and reaction order of this exchange process were studied. At the beginning (<3 min), the labile metal fractions are separated relatively quickly. After 3 min, the separation of the metal ions proceeds with uniform half-lives of about 12-14 min, revealing rather slow first-order kinetics. The metal exchange between HSs and CellPhos exhibited the following order of metal lability with the studied HSs: Cu > Pb > Mn > Ni > Cd. The required metal determinations were carried out by atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the application of hydrophobic silica based aerogels and xerogels for the removal of three toxic organic compounds from aqueous solutions. These materials were tested and characterized regarding their morphology, particle size distribution, surface area and porous structure. The equilibrium tests were carried out at different adsorbate concentrations and the experimental data were correlated by means of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The equilibrium data were well described by Langmuir and Freundlich in most cases. The maximum adsorption capacity by Langmuir model was observed for the adsorption of benzene onto aerogel (192.31 mg/g), though the most promising results were obtained for toluene adsorption due to the greater adsorption energy involved. Comparing these results with other reported results, the hydrophobic silica based aerogels/xerogels were found to exhibit a remarkable performance for the removal of benzene and toluene. In addition, the regeneration of previously saturated aerogel/toluene was also investigated by using an ozonation process. The adsorption/regeneration tests with ozone oxidation showed that the aerogel might be regenerated, nevertheless the materials lost their hydrophobicity and thus different methods should be evaluated in forthcoming investigations.  相似文献

热敏显色微胶囊是用于传真、条形码系统、医用图像、各种打印等领域的重要材料,它是一种内部含有染料隐色体的球形胶囊。染料隐色体是一种内酯结构的无色染料,在一定条件下,与显色剂发生显色反应。由于染料隐色体的化学惰性不够理想,易受外界因素的干扰,因而在应用中受到一定限制,所以为了克服其存在的不足,常将其微胶囊化。微胶囊的芯壁结构可以将芯材与外界隔离,提高芯材的稳定性,同时保留芯材原有的化学性质。当环境温度在微胶囊的玻璃化温度以上时,由于形成微胶囊壁的物质透过性显著增加,因此显色成分接触而发生显色反应。本文利用界面聚合法,以聚乙烯醇为保护胶体,曲拉通X-100为表面活性剂,聚氨酯为壁材,染料隐色体为芯材,合成了聚氨酯热敏显色微胶囊。研究了三个主要因素对微胶囊的粒径及其分布、表面形貌和热敏显色性能的影响。结果表明,增大保护胶体浓度,提高乳化速度,增加乳化剂用量,微胶囊的平均粒径变小,粒径分布变窄,表面变得光滑而且致密,具有较高的热敏显色密度。利用红外光谱仪确认了微胶囊的结构,在最优条件下,所制备的微胶囊玻璃化温度为131 ℃,并具有良好的热稳定性。  相似文献

NH2‐MIL‐125, [Ti8O8(OH)4(bdc‐NH2)6] (bdc2?=1,4‐benzene dicarboxylate) is a highly porous metal–organic framework (MOF) that has a band gap lying within the ultraviolet region at about 2.6 eV. The band gap may be reduced by a suitable post‐synthetic modification of the nanochannels using conventional organic chemistry methods. Here, it is shown that the photocatalytic activity of NH2‐MIL‐125 in the degradation of methylene blue under visible light is remarkably augmented by post‐synthetic modification with acetylacetone followed by CrIII complexation. The latter metal ion extends the absorption from the ultraviolet to the visible light region (band gap 2.21 eV). The photogenerated holes migrate from the MOF’s valence band to the CrIII valence band, promoting the separation of holes and electrons and increasing the recombination time. Moreover, it is shown that the MOF’s photocatalytic activity is also much improved by doping with Ag nanoparticles, formed in situ by the reduction of Ag+ with the acetylacetonate pendant groups (the resulting MOF band gap is 2.09 eV). Presumably, the Ag nanoparticles are able to accept the MOF’s photogenerated electrons, thus avoiding electron–hole recombination. Both, the Cr‐ and Ag‐bearing materials are stable under photocatalytic conditions. These findings open new avenues for improving the photocatalytic activity of MOFs.  相似文献

The identification of acid and nonacid species at the external surface of zeolites remains a major challenge, in contrast to the extensively-studied internal acid sites. Here, it is shown that the synthesis of zeolite ZSM-5 samples with distinct particle sizes, combined with solid-state NMR and computational studies of trimethylphosphine oxide (TMPO) adsorption, provides insight into the chemical species on the external surface of the zeolite crystals. 1H–31P HETCOR NMR spectra of TMPO-loaded zeolites exhibit a broad correlation peak at δP ∼35–55 ppm and δH ∼5–12 ppm assigned to external SiOH species. Pore-mouth Brønsted acid sites exhibit 31P and 1H NMR resonances and adsorption energies close to those reported for internal acid sites interacting with TMPO. The presence of an external tricoordinate Al-Lewis site interacting strongly with TMPO is suggested, resulting in 31P resonances that overlap with the peaks usually ascribed to the interaction of TMPO with Brønsted sites.  相似文献

In the title compound, C16H17NO4, the benzyl­oxy­carbonyl group is anti to the pyrrolic N atom. The mol­ecules are joined into head‐to‐head dimers by hydrogen bonds involving the carboxyl­ic acid groups. There is orientational disorder of these groups over two positions with approximately equal occupancy. A weaker hydrogen bond between the pyrrolic N atom and the carbonyl O atom of the benzyl­oxy­carbonyl group joins the dimers into chains running parallel to the [110] direction.  相似文献
