We utilized a blue-detuned Laguerre-Gaussian (doughnut) laser beam to trap cold rubidium atoms by optical dipole force. ”Pulsed” polarization gradient cooling was applied to the trapped atoms to suppress the trap loss due to heating caused by random photon scattering of the trapping light. In this trap about 108 atoms were initially captured and the trap lifetime was 1.5 s, which was consistent with losses due to background gas collisions. We present a comparative study of magnetism in UCoAl and UNi2/3Rh1/3Al single crystals. UCoAl is commonly believed to be an itinerant 5 f-electron metamagnet with B c < 1 T with uniaxial anisotropy. Pressure and alloying effects on the ground state point to competing ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions to be responsible for the non-magnetic ground state. UNi2/3Rh1/3Al is a solid solution between an antiferromagnet (UNiAl) and a ferromagnet (URhAl) and may have a similar underlying microscopic mechanism of the non-magnetic ground state. Possible analogies between the two compounds are discussed.  相似文献

The luminescence properties of Eu(II)-borates and Eu2+-activated Sr-borates were studied, e.g. Sr1?xEuxB2O4Sr1?xEuxB4O7 and Sr1?xEuxB6O10. It was found that Sr1?xEuxB4O7 consisting of a three-dimensional network of BO4 tetrahedra gave a remarkably stronger emission than the other compound consisting of BO3-3 ions, B2O4-5 ions, (BO2)∞ chains or a (B3O5)∞ network. A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of fluvoxamine and its major metabolite fluvoxamino acid in plasma. Fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid in plasma were extracted using a C18 bonded-solid phase cartridge, followed by C4 reversed-phase HPLC separation.Fluvoxamine, fluvoxamino acid and moperone as an internal standard were detected by ultraviolet absorbance at 254 nm. It was possible to determine both fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid in the concentration range of 25.0-200.0 ng/mL, respectively. The detection limits of both fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid were 10.0 ng/mL, respectively. The mean recoveries of fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid added to plasma were more than 94.0% and 96.5%, with a coefficient of variation of less than 7.6% and 8.2%, respectively. This method has been used for the simultaneous determination of steady-state plasma concentration (Css) of fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid in depressive patients treated with 200 mg of oral fluvoxamine dosed as 100 mg twice-daily. The Css values of fluvoxamine and fluvoxamino acid in twelve Japanese patients were showed individual variations, which were in the range of 48.3-532.9 ng/ml and 35.6-307.1 ng/ml, respectively.  相似文献
