To deal with the robust portfolio selection problem where only partial information on the exit time distribution and on the conditional distribution of portfolio return is available, we extend the worst-case VaR approach and formulate the corresponding problems as semi-definite programs. Optical coupling systems between a two-dimensional quasi-stadium laser diode and single-mode optical fibers using gradient-index rod lenses are designed for both stable and unstable laser resonators for the first time. A novel numerical approach using a combination of the extended Fox-Li calculation method and Gaussian beam transformations is proposed. In the case of a stable laser resonator, two kinds of beam propagation modes appear, namely the axis mode, in which an optical beam propagates along the cavity axis, and the ring mode, in which optical beams propagate along the diamond-shaped trajectory. The coupling efficiencies are found to be 54% for the axis mode and 52% for the ring mode. In contrast, an unstable laser resonator exhibits complicated modes, in which several highly directional beams are emitted from the end mirrors. The total coupling efficiency for these output beams is calculated to be 9.6%. The 3-dB tolerances for the lens pitch and alignment angles of the gradient-index rod lenses are also discussed.  相似文献

μSR spectra on the spin frustrating spinel antiferromagnet Zn(Cr x Ga1−x )2O4 (x=0.9,1.0) have been measured. For x=1.0 compound, both the relaxation rate and the initial asymmetry showed distinct anomalies at the Néel temperature. The magnetic susceptibility for the x=0.9 compound was known to have a faint peak at around 12 K, whose origin was not clear so far. Our μSR study revealed that this temperature is the onset temperature of development of the magnetic correlation accompanied by appreciable spin fluctuations. This revised version was published online in September 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A soluble multiblock copolyimide without specific functional groups such as OH and COOH was prepared by a direct one‐pot polycondensation of two types of dianhydrides and diamines in the presence of γ‐valerolactone/pyridine catalyst using N‐methylpyrrolidone (NMP)/toluene mixture as a solvent. The polyimide film containing the photosensitive agent diazonaphthoquinone (DNQ) compound gave positive‐tone behavior by UV irradiation, followed by development in a mixture of ethanolamine/NMP/H2O (1/1/1 by weight). The scanning electron microscopic photograph of the resultant image showed fine patterns with about 20 μm film thickness. Its pattern forming was based on the photorearrangement of diazonaphthoquinone, a process in which the ring‐opening reaction of imide units of the polyimide with the amine used as a developer and the following degradation of the polymer are induced. Such a new imaging technique combines principles of photolithography and etching of a polyimide to give, what we call, reaction development patterning in which the main chemical reactions directly related to the pattern formation occur during development. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A chiral stationary phase (CSP 1) derived from an (S)-N-3,5-dinitrobenzoyl-1-naphthylglycine showed excellent enantiomeric separation for amino acid derivatives with a fluorogenic reagent, 4-fluoro-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (NBD-F), in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). We compared elution profiles (separation factor and elution order) of NBD-amino acids and their analogs on HPLC, to determine the diastereomeric complex between the chiral moiety of CSP 1 and NBD-amino acid, which is responsible for the chiral recognition. (1)H-NMR studies of a mixture of model compound of CSP 1 and NBD-Ala suggest that the diastereomeric complex is composed of two hydrogen bonding sites at the amino proton and oxygen atom, and a pi-pi interaction by the benzofurazan structure (2,1,3-benzoxadiazole) of NBD-amino acid. Furthermore CSP 1 was able to separate esters, amides and alpha-methyl amino acids derivatized with NBD-F.  相似文献

In this study, the first asymmetric enantioselective total syntheses of (+)-asiaticumine A (2) and its enantiomer were accomplished through a seven-step sequence using the bond formation between the C4a and N5 positions of the phenanthridine framework based on the microwave-assisted electrocyclization of cyclohexenylbenzaldoxime methyl ether as an aza 6π-hexatriene system followed by the Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation as the key step. In addition, the absolute configuration of natural (+)-2 was determined to be S by Mosher’s method.  相似文献

Marine invertebrates are well known to accumulate trace metals from seawater, plankton, sea plants, and sediments. To test the usefulness of such organisms as a bio-indicator of environmental conditions, we have determined levels of trace elements in tissue of twelve species of marine invertebrates by photon and neutron activation analysis. Relatively higher concentration of elements were observed for Ni and Sn in mid-gut gland, for Cu and Zn in oyster tissues, for Se in swimming crabs, for Cu, Fe, and Se in gills of swimming crabs. Our results indicate that mid-gut gland of ear-shell will be useful as the indicator of environmental conditions.  相似文献

The mixed complementarity problem can be reformulated as a nonsmooth equation by using the median operator. In this paper, we first study some useful properties of this reformulation and then derive the Chen-Harker-Kanzow-Smale smoothing function for the mixed complementarity problem. On the basis of this smoothing function, we present a smoothing Newton method for solving the mixed complementarity problem. Under suitable conditions, the method exhibits global and quadratic convergence properties. We also present a smoothing Broyden-like method based on the same smoothing function. Under appropriate conditions, the method converges globally and superlinearly.  相似文献

The nucleotide-appended oligo(p-phenylenevinylene), {bis[2,5-bis(2-methoxyethoxy)-1,4-phenylene]bis(2,1-ethenediyl-1,4-phenylenemethylene)}bis(2'-deoxy-3'-thymidylic acid) (8), has been synthesized, and self-assembly of the single-component 8 and binary self-assembly of 8 with a complementary single-stranded 20-meric oligodeoxyadenylic acid (9) have been examined in aqueous solutions. Atomic force microscopy (AFM), UV-visible (UV-vis), and circular dichroism (CD) measurements revealed that right-handed helical stacks with 6.4- and 5.1-nm diameters self-assemble from the binary components of 8 and 9 as a template depending on the residual stoichiometry of the two components (thymine (T):adenine (A) = 1:1 and T:A = 2:1, respectively). The concentration of 9 was found to strongly influence the CD spectra of 8 in aqueous solutions. Consequently, we concluded that the one side of the thymine moieties in the stacked assemblies of 8 complexes with a single chain of 9. Complementary T-A base pairs thus formed and induced helical stack of the oligo(p-phenylenevinylene)s in the binary self-assembly. In contrast, self-assembly of the single-component 8 and binary self-assembly of 8 with the noncomplementary 20-meric oligothymidylic acid (10) produced no remarkable formation of fibrous structures like helical stacks.  相似文献
