Abstract

The performance assessment of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals in direct-detection transmission systems by using the error vector magnitude and several bit error ratio approaches is analyzed and compared through numerical simulation. It is shown that excellent accuracy of the bit error ratio estimates is obtained by a semi-analytical Gaussian approach for all the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system configurations analyzed and that the error vector magnitude only provides reliable estimates of the system performance when the system is dominantly impaired by noise. Additionally, a novel Q-factor approach for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing optical signals showing improved bit error ratio estimates is also presented.  相似文献

Abstract

The present article gives an overview of recent publications and modern techniques of sample preparation for food analysis employing atomic and inorganic mass spectrometric techniques, such as flame atomic absorption spectrometry, chemical vapor generation atomic absorption and atomic fluorescence spectrometry, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Among the most frequently applied sample preparation techniques for food analysis are dry ashing, usually with the addition of an ashing aid, and acid digestion, preferably with the assistance of microwave energy. Slurry preparation, particularly with the assistance of ultrasound, is increasingly used to reduce acid consumption and sample preparation time. Direct analysis of solid samples is gaining importance in the field of food analysis as it offers the highest sensitivity, avoids the use of acids and other aggressive reagents, makes possible the analysis of micro‐samples, and can be applied for fast screening analysis, e.g., of fresh meat.  相似文献

It is now well-known [1] that the twisted product on the functions defined on a symplectic manifold, play a fundamental role in an invariant approach of quantum mechanics. We prove here a general existence theorem of such twisted products. If a Lie group G acts by symplectomorphisms on a symplectic manifold and if there is a G-invariant symplectic connection, the manifold admits G-invariant Vey twisted products. In particular, if a homogeneous space G/H admits an invariant linear connection, T *(G/H) admits a G-invariant Vey twisted product. For the connected Lie group G, the group T *G admits a symplectic structure, a symplectic connection and a Vey twisted product which are bi-invariant under G.  相似文献

The microwave spectra of 4-thiacyclohexanone in the ground state and eight vibrationally excited states have been studied in the frequency region 18.0–40.0 GHz and the corresponding rotational constants have been determined. The following values of the ground-state rotational constants (MHz) were obtained from the analysis of the a-type transitions: A = 3935.149 (0.031), B = 1829.444 (0.001), and C = 1364.609 (0.001). Analysis of the Stark effect gives for the dipole components (in Debye units) μa = 1.409 (0.002), μc = 0.391 (0.064). These data are consistent with a chair conformation for the ring. A phisically reasonable set of structural parameters which reproduce the ground-state rotational constants has been derived. A qualitative estimate of the low-frequency vibrational modes was obtained from relative-intensity measurements. The lowest vibrational frequency is believed to be a ring-bending mode and it occurs at 77 ± 22 cm?1 while the ring-twisting mode is at 204 ± 27 cm?1.  相似文献

We have interpreted the KCl:Cu? spectrum in the context of the MS-Xα method. The results, considering only allowed electric-dipole transitions, are in good agreement with the experimental data. The nature of the magnetic interactions in the chain compound Rb2FeF5 has been investigated using neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements under high applied fields. Rb2FeF5 orders antiferromagnetically at TN = 8.0 ± 0.5 K; the magnetic structure is of the AZ + GX mode and the moment of the Fe3+ ion extrapoled to 0K is 3.5 ± 0.2 μB, this low value being due to zero-point spin reduction. Within a chain the Fe3+ ions are antiferromagnetically coupled with an exchange constant of J/k = ?8.8 K. A spin-flop behavior has been observed and interpreted on the basis of the molecular field theory. The critical field was found to be HC = 65 kOe at 1.7 K.  相似文献

Interactive music uses wearable sensors (i.e., gestural interfaces—GIs) and biometric datasets to reinvent traditional human–computer interaction and enhance music composition. In recent years, machine learning (ML) has been important for the artform. This is because ML helps process complex biometric datasets from GIs when predicting musical actions (termed performance gestures). ML allows musicians to create novel interactions with digital media. Wekinator is a popular ML software amongst artists, allowing users to train models through demonstration. It is built on the Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA) framework, which is used to build supervised predictive models. Previous research has used biometric data from GIs to train specific ML models. However, previous research does not inform optimum ML model choice, within music, or compare model performance. Wekinator offers several ML models. Thus, we used Wekinator and the Myo armband GI and study three performance gestures for piano practice to solve this problem. Using these, we trained all models in Wekinator and investigated their accuracy, how gesture representation affects model accuracy and if optimisation can arise. Results show that neural networks are the strongest continuous classifiers, mapping behaviour differs amongst continuous models, optimisation can occur and gesture representation disparately affects model mapping behaviour; impacting music practice.  相似文献

A critical review of known results about the permanence conditions for the null character of the solutions to the (vacuum) Maxwell equations, is presented. Concomitants of the electromagnetic field and the metric tensor are constructed, which give the principal directions of the field in covariant form. YAP:Nd, Cr grown under Ar-H2 or Ar-He-H2 atmosphere possesses good energy transfer from Cr3+ to Nd3+ but suffers from the colour centre formation. The centre formation was completely prevented using further admixture of Ce3+ and 10–4–10–3 wt. % Fe. Small luminescence quenching of Cr3+ or Nd3+ due to iron ions is negligible in the presence of Ce3+. The crystals may be also heavily doped with Nd3+ because the increased pumping efficiency compensates the shortening of the luminescence lifetime. YAP: Nd, Ce, Cr, Fe is advisible active laser material particularly for all the types of pulsed lasers.  相似文献
