In this paper, we report a fluorescent sensing system based on the palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction between N-methyl vinylpyridinium and 4-bromo-N,N′-dimethylaniline. Porous carbon-based electrodes were prepared by carbonization with poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)/carbon nanotube (CNT) composites to further increase the specific capacitance for supercapacitors. The specific capacitance, pore size distribution, and surface area of the PVDF/CNT composites were measured, and the effect of the carbonization temperatures was examined. The electrochemical properties were examined by cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge-discharge performance using a two-electrode system in TEABF(4) (tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate)/acetonitrile as a non-aqueous electrolyte. The highest specific capacitance of ~101 Fg(-1) was obtained for the samples carbonized at 600 °C. The pore size of the samples could be controlled to below 7 nm through the carbonization process. This suggests that micropores make a significant contribution to the specific capacitance due to improved charge transfer between the pores of the electrode materials and the electrolyte. 相似文献

A sequential injection analysis (SIA) system was developed to monitor the concentration of l-cysteine in biological processes on-line. It is based on the redox reaction of l-cysteine with iron(III) in the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and the detection of the red-iron(II)-phen complex with a spectrophotometry. The system was fully automated using software written in the LabVIEW™ development environment. A number of system variables such as the flow rate of the carrier buffer solution, the volume ratio of the sample to the reagents, and the reaction coil length, etc., were evaluated to increase the sensitivity and performance of the SIA system. Under partially optimized operating conditions the performance of the SIA system was linear up to a concentration of l-cysteine of 1 mM (R2 = 0.998) with a detection limit of 0.005 mM and a sample frequency of 15 hr−1. The SIA system was employed to monitor the concentration of l-cysteine on-line in a continuously stirred reactor and a fermentation process of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Quantitative investigation of the shape selectivity for the competitive intercalation reaction of isomeric mixtures in the interlayer of LDH was achieved by analyzing the solid phases synthesized by the reaction of [LiAl(2)(OH)(6)]Cl.yH(2)O with various compositional mixtures of (E,E)- and (Z,Z)-muconates. The apparent partition constant K' for the anion-exchange reaction between (E,E)- and (Z,Z)-muconates was quite dependent on the mole fraction of muconates in solution. The only single phase saturated with [LiAl(2)(OH)(6)](2)[(E,E)-C(6)H(4)O(4)].zH(2)O could be obtained in the range of the initial mole fraction of (E,E)-muconate larger than 0.6 in the starting solution, while mixed phases intercalated with (E,E)- and (Z,Z)-muconates could be obtained at lower mole fractions of (E,E)-muconate. The shape selectivity for the competitive reaction of two muconates on the [LiAl(2)(OH)(6)](+) lattice could be ascribed to thermodynamic processes, and the conditions under which that pure (E,E)-muconate was efficiently separated from isomeric mixtures of two muconates were successfully evaluated. 相似文献

Clinical cases of type-1 hypersensitive reaction to rice (Oryza sativa) have been reported in western countries as well as in Japan. Among rice proteins, 14-16 kD globulin proteins encoded by multiple gene family have been identified as major rice allergens. In this study, a rice cDNA library was constructed using lambda UniZap vector and screened with a rat anti-16 kD globulin protein polyclonal antibody in order to isolate Korean rice allergenic cDNA clones. Five independent cDNA clones, termed RAK1-5, were obtained after second rounds of plaque assay and immunoblot analysis. These clones encoded 13-19 kD recombinant proteins upon IPTG induction, which were identified by the polyclonal antibody in immunoblot analysis. DNA sequencing analysis showed that RAK1-4 have 99% sequence homology with RA5b, and RAK5 is closely related with RA14c. This result indicated that RA5b gene is widely distributed in our cDNA library among other possible rice allergenic genes, and more study is needed to isolate heterogeneous or novel rice allergen genes. 相似文献

C-Terminal carboxyl methylation of a human placental 23 kDa protein catalyzed by membrane-associated methyltransferase has been investigated. The 23 kDa protein substrate methylated was partially purified by DEAE-Sephacel, hydroxyapatite and Sephadex G-100 gel filtration chromatographies. The substrate protein was eluted on Sephadex G-100 gel filtration chromatography as a protein of about 29 kDa. In the absence of Mg2+, the methylation was stimulated by guanine nucleotides (GTP, GDP and GTPgammaS), but in the presence of Mg2+, only GTPgammaS stimulated the methylation which was similar to the effect on the G25K/rhoGDI complex. AFC, an inhibitor of C-terminal carboxyl methylation, inhibited the methylation of human placental 23 kDa protein. These results suggests that the substrate is a small G protein different from the G25K and is methylated on C-terminal isoprenylated cysteine residue. This was also confirmed by vapor phase analysis. The methylated substrate protein was redistributed to membrane after in vitro methylation, suggesting that the methylation of this protein is important for the redistribution of the 23 kDa small G protein for its putative role in intracellular signaling. 相似文献

The photocatalytic characteristics of nanostructured TiO2 ultrafine powder with rutile phase produced using the homogeneous precipitation process at low temperatures (HPPLT) were compared with those of commercial P-25 TiO2 powder by flame hydrolysis. The TiO2 powder by the HPPLT showed much higher photoactivity in the removal rate, showing lower pH values in the solution than the P-25 powder when eliminating metal ions such as Pb and Cu from the aqueous metal-EDTA solutions. This can be inferred as the more rapid photo-oxidation or -reduction of metal ions from the aqueous solution, together with relatively higher efficiencies in the use of an electron-hole pair formed on the surface of the TiO2 particles under UV light irradiation. Also, in the view of the TiO2 particle morphology, compared to the well-dispersed spherical P-25 particles, the agglomerated TiO2 secondary particles by the HPPLT consist of acicular typed primary particles with a thickness in the range of 3–7 nm and the primary particles radialize in all directions, which would be more effective to photocatalytic reactions without the large electron-hole recombination on the surface of the TiO2 particle under UV light irradiation. It can be, therefore, thought that the higher photoactivity of the rutile TiO2 powder by the HPPLT in the aqueous solutions results mainly from having a larger surface area by the acicular shaped primary particles with very thin thickness and radialization in all directions. 相似文献

Binary blends of unbranched polyethylene (PE) and 5-10% model ethylene-butene random copolymers are used to determine the effects of composition heterogeneity on phase separation in the melt, semicrystalline morphology, plane strain fracture toughness JC and tensile modulus and yield strength. Slowly cooled samples of melt-miscible blends are appreciably tougher (JC = 5.2 kJ/m2) than unblended PE (JC = 2.7 kJ/m2). A blend with the same average short chain branch concentration, but which is phase separated in the melt state, has JC= 3.3 kJ/m2; dispersed domains of amorphous polymer have little effect on toughness. Enhanced toughness is associated with nonuniform morphology formed on slow cooling “one phase” melts composed of chains with different amounts of branching. The relative number of chemically different chains, as opposed to absolute branch concentrations, seems most important. Tensile properties are relatively unaffected by blending at these levels. Results from these model blends are used to consider the properties of compositionally heterogeneous ethylene copolymers. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

It has been known since the early days of plasma physics research that superthermal electrons are generated during beam-plasma laboratory experiments. Superthermal electrons (the kappa distribution) are also ubiquitously observed in space. To explain such a feature, various particle acceleration mechanisms have been proposed. However, self-consistent acceleration of electrons in the context of plasma kinetic theory has not been demonstrated to date. This Letter reports such a demonstration. It is shown that the collisionality, defined via the "plasma parameter" g=1/n(lambda(D)(3), plays a pivotal role. It is found that a small but moderately finite value of is necessary for the superthermal tail to be generated, implying that purely collisionless (g=0) Vlasov theory cannot produce a superthermal population. 相似文献
