In this paper we present a new branch and bound algorithm for solving a class of integer quadratic knapsack problems. A previously published algorithm solves the continuous variable subproblems in the branch and bound tree by performing a binary search over the breakpoints of a piecewise linear equation resulting from the Kuhn-Tucker conditions. Here, we first present modifications to a projection method for solving the continuous subproblems. Then we implement the modified projection method in a branch and bound framework and report computational results indicating that the new branch and bound algorithm is superior to the earlier method.  相似文献

An analysis of the semiclassical regime of the quantum-classical transition is given for open, bounded, one-dimensional chaotic dynamical systems. Environmental fluctuations-characteristic of all realistic dynamical systems-suppress the development of a fine structure in classical phase space and damp nonlocal contributions to the semiclassical Wigner function, which would otherwise invalidate the approximation. This dual regularization of the singular nature of the semiclassical limit is demonstrated by a numerical investigation of the chaotic Duffing oscillator.  相似文献

A facile method for the construction of an immunoconjugate which displays targeting ligands, such as antibody fragments, with a high density is reported. For this purpose, we synthesized a novel trifunctional crosslinking reagent. By the use of this reagent, ligands targeting the specific cell can be displayed on the surface of the drug carrier with a high density. In this study, we display HER2 (human epidermal growth‐factor receptor‐2) binding ligands on branched polyethylenimine (PEI), which can form polyplexes with plasmid DNA. Kinetic analysis of the binding to the extracellular domain of HER2 show the PEI displaying a high density of ligands binds to the target more strongly compared to the PEI displaying ligands at a low density. The increased density of HER2 ligands displayed on the gene carrier contributes to the improved transfection efficiency. This approach can be applied to other drug delivery systems, including liposome, micelle, and so on.  相似文献

Two approaches of Gaussian distribution of barrier heights in inhomogeneous Schottky diodes have been analyzed by comparing the results for consistency between the two. For this the current-voltage characteristics of inhomogeneous Schottky diodes have been generated by using analytically solved thermionic-emission diffusion equation incorporating Gaussian distribution of barrier heights and by direct numerical integration over a barrier height range. The differences in the results obtained in two approaches are discussed and it is shown that the two approaches yield current-voltage characteristics with slightly different features. The discrepancies in the results obtained in two approaches are attributed to the same series resistance assumed for all elementary barriers of the distribution. It is shown that assigning same series resistance to all barrier of the distribution in numerical integration approach causes current saturation at low bias and inhibits intersection of current-voltage curves from being observable which otherwise occurs in the curves obtained using analytical equation. Polyamide 12/Trisilanolphenyl‐POSS (PA 12/POSS) composites were prepared via melt‐compounding. The effect of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) on crystalline structure and crystalline transition of PA 12 was investigated by wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction (WAXD) and real time fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). WAXD results indicated that PA 12 crystallized into γ‐form as slowly cooling from melt and the presence of POSS did not influence the crystalline structure of PA 12. Both PA 12 and PA 12/POSS composites underwent Brill transitions when they were heated from room temperature to melt point. Real time FTIR patterns showed that an absorption band at 697 cm?1 ascribed to Amide V (α) mode was emerged along with the disappearance of Amide VI (γ) band at 628 cm?1 with the increase of the temperature for PA 12 and PA 12/POSS composites, which suggested that the γ‐form crystalline has transformed into α form. The Brill bands were identified and the transformed mechanism was discussed based on the real FTIR results. The objectives of the present investigation were to prepare and characterize solid inclusion complexes of Etodolac (ETD) with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) in order to study the effect of complexation on the dissolution rate of ETD, a hydrophobic guest molecule. Phase solubility curve was classified as a typical AL-type for the cyclodextrins (CD’s), showing that soluble complex was formed. The inclusion complexes in the molar ratio of 1:1 and 1:2 (β-CD–ETD) were prepared by various methods such as kneading, co-evaporation and in molar ratio of 1:1 by spray dried technique respectively. The molecular behaviors of ETD in all samples were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) studies and Scanning Electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The results of these studies indicated that complexes prepared by kneading, co-evaporation and spray drying techniques showed inclusion of the ETD molecule into the CD’s cavities. The highest improvement in in vitro dissolution profiles was observed in complexes prepared with spray dried technique. Mean in vitro dissolution time indicated significant difference between the release profiles of ETD from complexes and physical mixtures and from pure ETD.  相似文献

N‐Arylation of N‐containing heterocycles, such as pyrazoles, imidazoles, and benzimidazoles with aryl‐, heteroaryl‐, and vinylboronic acids was efficiently carried out by copper fluorapatite (CuFAP) catalyst in MeOH at room temperature under base‐free conditions. The N‐arylated heterocycles were isolated in good‐to‐excellent yields.  相似文献

The first total synthesis of the marine cyclopropane fatty acid (±)-17-methyl-trans-4,5-methyleneoctadecanoic acid was accomplished in eight steps and in 9.1% overall yield starting from 1-bromo-12-methyltridecane. The cis analog (±)-17-methyl-cis-4,5-methyleneoctadecanoic acid was also synthesized but in seven steps and in 16.4% overall yield. With the two isomeric cyclopropane fatty acids at hand it was possible to unequivocally corroborate the trans relative configuration of the naturally occurring fatty acid by gas chromatographic co-elution of the corresponding methyl esters. The cis isomer was cytotoxic to Leishmania donovani promastigotes with an IC50 of 300.2 ± 4.2 μM.  相似文献

Polycrystalline ceramic samples of Bi4−xLaxTi3O12 (x=0.0, 0.5 and 1) and Bi3.5La0.5Ti3−yNbyO12 (y=0.02 and 0.04) have been synthesized by standard high temperature solid state reaction method using high purity oxides and carbonates. The effect of lanthanum doping on Bi-site and Nb doping on Ti-site on the structural and electrical properties of Bi4Ti3O12 powders was investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, dc conductivity and dielectric studies. A better agreement between the observed and calculated X-ray diffraction pattern was obtained by performing the Rietveld refinement with a structural model using the non-centrosymmetric space group Fmmm in all the cases. A better agreement between observed and calculated d-values also shows that the lattice parameters calculated using the Rietveld refinement analysis are better. The increase in lanthanum and niobium contents does not lead to any secondary phases. It is found that La3+ doping reduces the material grain size and changes its morphology from the plate-like form to a spherical staking like form. The substitution of Nb for Ti ions affected the degree of disorder and modified the dielectric properties leading to more resistive ceramic compounds. The shape and size of the grains are strongly influenced by the addition of niobium to the system. The activation energies of all the compounds were calculated by measuring their dc electrical conductivities. The frequency and temperature dependent dielectric behavior of all the compounds have also been studied and the results are discussed in detail. The substitution of La and Nb on the Bi and Ti sites decreased the Tc and improved the dielectric and ferroelectric behavior.  相似文献
