We prove that if G is a 5‐connected graph embedded on a surface Σ (other than the sphere) with face‐width at least 5, then G contains a subdivision of K5. This is a special case of a conjecture of P. Seymour, that every 5‐connected nonplanar graph contains a subdivision of K5. Moreover, we prove that if G is 6‐connected and embedded with face‐width at least 5, then for every v ∈ V(G), G contains a subdivision of K5 whose branch vertices are v and four neighbors of v. 相似文献

The refractive index of H2O ice has been measured to 120 GPa at room temperature using reflectivity methods. The refractive index increases significantly with pressure on initial compression and exhibits small changes with pressure at previously identified phase transitions. Pressure dependencies of the molecular polarizability show changing slopes in different pressure regions. A general molar refractivity analysis of this change in slope reveals features at 60 GPa due to the onset of the ice VII-X transition. Band gap closure in H2O ice is constrained by the dispersion data using a single oscillator dielectric model. Sample thickness measurements obtained from interference patterns yield pressure-volume relations in excellent agreement with those measured by x-ray diffraction. 相似文献

Homogeneous crystal nucleation triggered by spinodal decomposition in polymer solutions 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We report dynamic Monte Carlo simulations of polymer crystal nucleation initiated by prior spinodal decomposition in polymer solutions. We observed that the kinetic phase diagrams of homogeneous crystal nucleation appear horizontal in the concentration region below their crossovers with the theoretical liquid-liquid spinodal. When the solution was quenched into the temperature beneath this horizontal boundary, the time evolution of structure factors demonstrated the spinodal decomposition at the early stage of crystal nucleation. In comparison with the case without a prior liquid-liquid demixing, we found that the prior spinodal decomposition can regulate the nanoscale small polymer crystallites toward a larger population, more uniform sizes, and a better spatial homogeneity, whereas chain folding in the crystallites seems little affected. 相似文献

X-ray irradiation was found to convert H(2)O at pressures above 2 GPa into a novel molecular H(2)-O(2) compound. We used optical Raman spectroscopy to explore the behavior of x-ray irradiated H(2)O samples as a function of pressure, time, and composition. The compound was found to be stable over a period of two years, as long as high pressure conditions (>2 GPa) were maintained. The Raman shifts for the H(2) and O(2) vibrons behaved differently from pure H(2) and O(2) as pressure was increased on the compound up to 70 GPa, indicating that it remains a distinct, molecular compound. Based on spectra taken from different locations in a single sample, it appears that multiple forms of the H(2)-O(2) compound exist. The structure and composition of the starting material plays an important role in compound formation, as we found that hydrogen-filled ice clathrate C(2) (H(2))H(2)O did not undergo the same dissociation as observed in ice VII upon x-ray irradiation until pressure was increased to above 10 GPa. 相似文献

Abstract
Novel ferroelectric liquid crystalline (FLC) polyacetylenes, namely, “side-end-fixed” type of PAM 6 OTPhOR* and “side-on-fixed” type of PAM 3 OCO(TPh)OR* were designed and synthesized in high yields (89.3 and 62.0%), respectively, where the terphenyl was linked at the different positions. The thermal stability of PAM 3 OCO(TPh)OR* is better than PAM 6 OTPhOR* owing to the “jacket effect” from terphenyl pendant linked at the waist position well protecting the main chain from the perturbations. The PAM 3 OCO(TPh)OR* shows enantiotropic chiral smectic A phase (SmA*), but it is noteworthy that the PAM 6 OTPhOR* exhibits enantiotropic chiral smectic C phase (SmC*) responsible for ferroelectric liquid crystallinity. Compared to “side-end-fixed” type of polymer, the “side-on-fixed” type shows better light emitting property, ascribed to the mesogen linked at the waist position has stronger tendency to enhance the main-chain coplanarity. Furthermore, the circular dichroism (CD) spectra demonstrate that the asymmetric force field generated by the chiral center affects the secondary structure of PAM 3 OCO(TPh)OR*. 相似文献498.

摘 要:金属钛原子在金刚石表面的结合强度直接影响金刚石真空介电窗口的使用性能和寿命. 本文通过基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理方法研究了Ti原子与不同氮掺杂位置的金刚石(001)界面的结合能、电荷分布和稳态几何结构. 结果表明:Ti原子与N原子取代掺杂在第二层C原子处金刚石表面的结合能比未掺杂和掺杂在第三层的结合能都高,达到-7.293 eV,使得金刚石表面形成的界面结构更加稳定,结合强度更好;通过电荷分布分析,N原子掺杂在第二层金刚石表面的Ti原子上的电荷转移最明显,对金刚石表面碳原子吸附最强,也具有更好的结合强度. 与未掺杂金刚石表面形成的Ti-C键键长相比,N掺杂在第二层和第三层C原子处金刚石表面形成的Ti-C键键长比前者分别长0.051 Å和0.042 Å,略有增加. 相似文献

Three new lycopodium alkaloids, huperserramines A–C ( 1 – 3 , resp.), along with 15 known ones, lycopodine‐6α,11α‐diol ( 4 ), lycoposerramine H ( 5 ), lycoposerramine I ( 6 ), lycopodine‐6α‐ol ( 7 ), lycoposerramine M ( 8 ), diphaladine A ( 9 ), lycoposerramine K ( 10 ), lycoposerramine W ( 11 ), huperzine M ( 12 ), luciduline ( 13 ), phlegmariuine N ( 14 ), huperzine A ( 15 ), huperzine B ( 16 ), lycodine ( 17 ), and lycoposerramine R ( 18 ), were isolated from the whole plant of Huperzia serrata. Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods, including 2D‐NMR and MS analyses. All the isolates were evaluated for their inhibitory effects on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and α‐glucosidase. As a result, lycopodine‐6α,11α‐diol ( 4 ) exhibited more potent α‐glucosidase inhibitory activity (IC50 148±5.5 μM ) than the positive control acarbose (IC50 376.3±2.7 μM ). 相似文献
