Polycyclic aromatic azomethine ylides (PAMYs) are powerful building blocks in the bottom-up synthesis of internally nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (N-PAHs) through 1,3-cycloaddition reactions. In this work, the cycloaddition reaction of PAMYs to asymmetric ortho-quinones is presented, which, in contrast to the addition to symmetric para-quinones, facilitates subsequent condensation reactions and allows the synthesis of three helical N-PAHs with ullazine-quinoxaline ( UQ - 1 – 3 ) backbones. UQ - 1 and UQ - 2 possess two helical centers; however, single-crystal X-ray analysis together with the computational modeling of UQ - 3 elucidate the formation of only the thermodynamically most stable geometry with four helical centers in a (P,P,M,M) configuration. For the series UQ - 1 – 3 , the number of redox steps is directly correlated with the number of ullazine or quinoxaline units incorporated into the targeted molecular backbones. A detailed investigation of the spectroscopic and magnetic properties of the radical cation and anion as well as the dication and dianion species by in situ EPR/UV/Vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry is provided. The excellent optical and redox properties combined with helical geometries render them possibly applicable as chiral emitter or ambipolar charge transport material in organic electronics.  相似文献

The coating deposition inside tubes becomes increasingly important for fluidic applications, in which inner surfaces are chemically and mechanically strained by the flowing liquid and by scratching of particles. The developed process for tube coating, presented in this work, is based on the discharge in the precursor gas atmosphere between two mesh electrodes at the ends of the tube. The gas mixture is introduced on one end and pumped through the electrode on the other end. Igniting plasma inside the tube, the tube walls are the barrier to the atmosphere. Especially pulsed DC discharges for plasma polymerization in this alignment lead to good coating results, which is shown in this work focusing on deposition in pure and mixed hexamethyldisiloxane, ethyne, and oxygen atmospheres. Chemical binding, wetting, and ageing are strongly influenced by the choice of the gas mixtures. Sufficient oxygen partial pressure in the deposition atmosphere leads to hydrophilic behavior of the SiO2-like polymer-like carbon coatings, all other applied atmospheres to generally hydrophobic behavior of pure and Si-doped plasma polymers, respectively.  相似文献

Abstract separation systems provide a simple general framework in which both tree-shape and high cohesion of many combinatorial structures can be expressed, and their duality proved. Applications range from tangle-type duality and tree structure theorems in graphs, matroids or CW-complexes to, potentially, image segmentation and cluster analysis. This paper presents a novel mass conservative, positivity preserving wetting and drying treatment for Godunov‐type shallow water models with second‐order bed elevation discretization. The novel method allows to compute water depths equal to machine accuracy without any restrictions on the time step or any threshold that defines whether the finite volume cell is considered to be wet or dry. The resulting scheme is second‐order accurate in space and keeps the C‐property condition at fully flooded area and also at the wet/dry interface. For the time integration, a second‐order accurate Runge–Kutta method is used. The method is tested in two well‐known computational benchmarks for which an analytical solution can be derived, a C‐property benchmark and in an additional example where the experimental results are reproduced. Overall, the presented scheme shows very good agreement with the reference solutions. The method can also be used in the discontinuous Galerkin method.
