Abstract  The title complexes and have been synthesized in excellent yields by reacting Co(OAc)2·4H2O with H2L1 and H2L2, respectively, in acetonitrile solution. Here, [L1]2− and [L2]2− are the deprotonated forms of N,N-bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)-N′,N′-dimethylethylenediamine and N,N-bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)-2-picolylamine, respectively. The crystal structures of and were determined by x-ray crystallography. In , each cobalt atom has distorted trigonal bipyramid geometry, while in , each cobalt atom has distorted octahedral geometry. Variable temperature magnetic moment measurements show weak antiferromagnetic interaction in . The magnetic characterization for is in agreement with the presence of Co(II) and Co(III) centers. In this problem, simultaneous effects of Joule and viscous dissipationin three-dimensional flow of nanoliquid have been addressed in slip flow regime under timedependent rotational oscillations. Silver nanoparticles are submerged in the base fluid (water)due to their chemical and biological features. To increment the novelty, effects of cubicautocatalysis chemical reactions and radiative heat transfer have been incorporated in therelated boundary layer equations. Dimensionless partial differential system is solved byemploying the proposed implicit finite difference approach. Convergence conditions andstability criteria are obtained to ensure the convergence and accuracy of solutions.A comparative analysis is proposed for no-slip nanofluid flow (NSNF) and slip nanofluid flow(SNF). Variations in skin-friction coefficients, Sherwood and Nusselt numbers against physicalparameters are tabulated. It is investigated that velocity slip and temperature jump significantlycontrol drag forces and rate of heat transfer.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode based on γ-cyclodextrin–carbon nanotube composite (γ-CD–CNT–CME) was developed for the determination of propranolol hydrochloride (PRO). The electrochemical behaviour of PRO was investigated employing cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV). Surface morphology of the electrode has been studied by means of scanning electron microscopy. The results revealed that the oxidation of PRO is facilitated at γ-CD–CNT–CME. Under the optimized conditions in Britton–Robinson buffer pH 1.5, the peak currents were found to vary linearly with their concentrations in the range of 1.42 × 10?7 to 4.76 × 10?5 M. A detection limit (S/N = 3) of 4.01 × 10?8 M was obtained for PRO by means of DPAdSV. The proposed method was employed for the determination of PRO in pharmaceutical formulations, urine and blood serum samples.  相似文献

Chloro bis(alkylenedithiophosphato)antimony(III) complexes of the type [OGOP(S)S]2SbCl (1–5) [where G = —C(Me)2—CH2—CH(Me)—1 —C(Me)2—C(Me)2—2, —CH2—C(Me)2—CH2—3, —CH(Me)—CH(Me)—4 and –CH(Me)—CH2—CH2—5] have been synthesized by the reaction of SbCl3 with sodium salts of alkylenedithiophosphoric acids in a 1:2 molar ratio in refluxing benzene. Reactions of chloro bis(alkylenedithiophosphato) antimony(III) compounds, [OGOP(S)S]2SbCl with sodium tetraisopropoxoborate, NaB(OPri)4, in a 1:1 molar ratio in refluxing benzene yielded some new heterobinuclear derivatives of antimony(III) and boron(III) of the type[OGOP(S)S]2Sb(μ—OPri)2B(OPri)2. These newly synthesized complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and molecular weight measurement, and their plausible structures have been proposed on the basis of IR, NMR (1H, 13C,31P,11B), and FAB-mass spectral studies. On the basis of the spectroscopic evidence, a pseudo octahedral geometry around antimony and tetrahedral geometry around boron atom has been proposed. Cyclic O,O′-alkylenedithiophosphate ligands and their corresponding chloro bis(alkylenedithiophosphato)antimony(III) compounds have been screened for microbial activities. These compounds showed significant antifungal activity against Fusarium and Trichoderma and antibacterial activity against E. Coli and Pseudomonas.

Accurate measurement of estradiol (E2) is important in clinical diagnostics and research. High sensitivity methods are critical for specimens with E2 concentrations at low picomolar levels, such as serum of men, postmenopausal women and children. Achieving the required assay performance with LC–MS is challenging due to the non‐polar structure and low proton affinity of E2. Previous studies suggest that ionization has a major role for the performance of E2 measurement, but comparisons of different ionization techniques for the analysis of clinical samples are not available. In this study, female serum and endometrium tissue samples were used to compare electrospray ionization (ESI), atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and atmospheric pressure photoionization (APPI) in both polarities. APPI was found to have the most potential for E2 analysis, with a quantification limit of 1 fmol on‐column. APCI and ESI could be employed in negative polarity, although being slightly less sensitive than APPI. In the presence of biological background, ESI was found to be highly susceptible to ion suppression, while APCI and APPI were largely unaffected by the sample matrix. Irrespective of the ionization technique, background interferences were observed when using the multiple reaction monitoring transitions commonly employed for E2 (m/z 271 > 159; m/z 255 > 145). These unidentified interferences were most severe in serum samples, varied in intensity between ionization techniques and required efficient chromatographic separation in order to achieve specificity for E2. Ethnopharmacological relevanceIridoid glycosides have been associated with decreased risks of cancer, such as hepatocarcinoma. Although Picrorrhiza kurroa has shown activity against hepatocarcinogenesis, its mechanism of action is poorly understood, further the anticancer activity of iridoid glycosides present in this plant has not been tested so far.Aim of the studyHere, MCF-7 cell lines (Human breast cancer) were used to test whether P. kurroa extract (PE) and its isolated iridoid glycosides Picroside I (PS), Kutkoside (KS), and Kutkin (KT) exerts the anti-invasion activity via down-regulation of the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMPs play an important role in solid tumor invasion and migration.Materials and methodsThe activity and expression of gelatinases (MMP-2 and MMP-9) and collagenases (MMP-1 and MMP-13), protein, and mRNA were detected by gelatin zymography, and RT-PCR. The migratory and invasive capacities of MCF-7 cell lines were measured by the wound scratch migration assay. The preliminary cytotoxicity testing was done by MTT assay and propidium iodide staining. Further the inhibition of inflammatory mediators was also done by quantification of nitrite inflammatory mediators.ResultsThe study showed that PE and its isolated iridoids glycosides PS, KS, and KT exhibited considerable cytotoxic potential in a dose-dependent manner. Further PE, PS, KS, and KT inhibited MCF-7 cell invasion and migration, and decreased MMP-2, 9 and MMP-1, 13 activities. Furthermore, PS, KS, and KT reduced MMPs expression at protein and mRNA levels, and suppression of the inflammatory mediators was also exhibited.ConclusionsOur results suggest that PS, KS, and KT may be the valuable anti-invasive drug candidates for cancer therapy by suppressing Collagenases and Gelatinases. PS, KS, and KT showed good results in comparison with PE. PS and KS exhibit almost comparable down regulation while KT exhibited maximum suppression of invasion, migration, and expression of MMPs.  相似文献

Three new iron(II)‐benzilate complexes [(N4Py)FeII(benzilate)]ClO4 ( 1 ), [(N4PyMe2)FeII(benzilate)]ClO4 ( 2 ) and [(N4PyMe4)FeII(benzilate)]ClO4 ( 3 ) of neutral pentadentate nitrogen donor ligands have been isolated and characterized to study their dioxygen reactivity. Single‐crystal X‐ray structures reveal a mononuclear six‐coordinate iron(II) center in each case, where benzilate binds to the iron center in monodentate mode via one carboxylate oxygen. Introduction of methyl groups in the 6‐positions of the pyridine rings makes the N4PyMe2 and N4PyMe4 ligand fields weaker compared to that of the parent N4Py ligand. All the complexes ( 1 – 3 ) react with dioxygen to decarboxylate the coordinated benzilate to benzophenone quantitatively. The decarboxylation is faster for the complex of the more sterically hindered ligand and follows the order 3 > 2 > 1 . The complexes display oxygen atom transfer reactivity to thioanisole and also exhibit hydrogen atom transfer reactions with substrates containing weak C?H bonds. Based on interception studies with external substrates, labelling experiments and Hammett analysis, a nucleophilic iron(II)‐hydroperoxo species is proposed to form upon two‐electron reductive activation of dioxygen by each iron(II)‐benzilate complex. The nucleophilic oxidants are converted to the corresponding electrophilic iron(IV)‐oxo oxidant upon treatment with a protic acid. The high‐spin iron(II)‐benzilate complex with the weakest ligand field results in the formation of a more reactive iron‐oxygen oxidant.  相似文献

The microenvironment of solute-solvent interactions in aqueous sucrose solutions, ranging from 0 to 80 wt% in concentration, was investigated using time resolved fluorescence techniques. The fluorescence lifetimes and rotational correlation times of the trace fluorescent probes, PBA (1-pyrene butyric acid) and pyranine (trisodium 8-hydroxy-1,3,6-pyrenetrisulfonate), were measured in sucrose solutions. The behavior of the fluorescence lifetimes and the increase in the rotational correlation times with increasing sucrose concentration provided no evidence for the formation of water exclusive solute clusters in the metastable solutions. Instead, the results indicated the formation of a network of hydrogen bonding interactions between dispersed sucrose molecules.  相似文献
