Coherent neutron inelastic scattering intensifies for two low-frequency Γ4 internal modes in anthracene-d10 have been measured at several different Brillouin zone centres. These intensifies have been used to determine the eigenvectors of the two modes involved. It is shown that the motion in both cases is a combination of a butterfly motion (B) and a twisting motion (T). The energy proportions in these two modes are 0.97B and 0.03T (±0.01) for the mode at 3.16 THz and 0.94T and 0.06B (±0.04) for the mode at 4.60 THz. This experimental result strengthens our reliance on model calculations for the assignment of phonon frequencies measured by neutron coherent inelastic scattering.  相似文献

Benzyl phosphonate esters often serve as reagents in Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reactions. In most cases, they can be prepared from benzylic alcohols via formation of the corresponding halide followed by an Arbuzov reaction. To identify a more direct synthesis of phosphonate esters, we have developed a one-flask procedure for conversion of benzylic and allylic alcohols to the corresponding phosphonates through treatment with triethyl phosphite and ZnI(2).  相似文献

The determination of nicotine and its major metabolites (cotinine and anabasine) in fish tissue was performed using liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry. Marine and freshwater fish were purchased from local grocery stores and were prepared based on a quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe sample preparation protocol. To determine the highly polar compounds, hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography was also used. There were modest suppressions on measured nicotine signals (10%) due to the matrix effects from marine fish but no obvious effects on freshwater fish signals. Method validation was incorporated with internal standards and carried out with matrix‐matched calibration. The detection limits for nicotine, cotinine, and anabasine were 9.4, 3.0, and 1.5 ng/g in fish, respectively. Precision was quite acceptable returning less than 8% RSD at low, medium, and high concentrations. Acceptable and reproducible extraction recoveries (70–120%) of all three compounds were achieved, except for anabasine at low concentration (61%). The method was then applied to define nicotine bioaccumulation in a fathead minnow model, which resulted in rapid uptake with steady state internal tissue levels, reached within 12 h. This developed method offers a fast, easy, and sensitive way to evaluate nicotine and its metabolite residues in fish tissues.  相似文献

The Iwasawa algebra is a power series ring in one variable over the -adic integers. It has long been studied by number theorists in the context of -extensions of number fields. It also arises, however, as a ring of operations in -adic topological -theory. In this paper we study -local stable homotopy theory using the structure theory of modules over the Iwasawa algebra. In particular, for odd we classify -local spectra up to pseudo-equivalence (the analogue of pseudo-isomorphism for -modules) and give an Iwasawa-theoretic classification of the thick subcategories of the weakly dualizable spectra.

We investigate a process used for the selenisation of particle‐based precursors to prepare low‐cost Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 (CIGS) solar cells. It is suitable for high throughput with a short optimum selenisation duration of 3–5 min and employs a rapid thermal annealing system with elemental selenium vapour. Homogeneous crack‐free Cu(In,Ga)S2 precursor films of up to 1 µm are obtained via doctor blading. The high selenium vapour pressure in the selenisation reaction chamber results in the formation of a compact Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 layer on top of a carbon‐rich underlayer. In order to investigate the phase development in the film, the selenisation process was interrupted at different stages and the samples were monitored via XRD and surface‐sensitive Raman measurements. We find the formation of a polycrystalline Cu(In,Ga)Se2 phase already after 1 s at the target temperature of 550 °C. Furthermore, the effect of initial precursor thickness on solar cell parameters is discussed. Polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinylpyridine) copolymers were quaternized with 1-bromohexane and 6-perfluorooctyl-1-bromohexane. Surfaces prepared from these polymers were characterized by contact angle measurements, near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The fluorinated pyridinium surfaces showed enhanced antibacterial activity compared to their nonfluorinated counterparts. Even a polymer with a relatively low molecular weight pyridinium block showed high antimicrobial activity. The bactericidal effect was found to be related to the molecular composition and organization in the top 2-3 nm of the surface and increased with increasing hydrophilicity and pyridinium concentration of the surface.  相似文献

Raman and mid-infrared spectra of C10F8 have been obtained under hydrostatic pressures up to 17 kbar in a diamond anvil cell. The C10F8 I–II phase change, previously observed by neutron diffraction at about 0.8 kbar, has been confirmed. No evidence was found to support the existence of a furtt ier phase change between 4 and 6 kbar indicated by the neutron work, although this is certainly not precluded as the extra spectral features expected in this case are extremely small. The mode Grüneisen parameters, γi, allow a clear distinction between internal and external molecular modes, and scale roughly in accord with Zallen's relation γi$?vi?2.  相似文献
