A portable fiber optic dosimeter has been developed that incorporates RbMgF3:Eu2+ at the end of a multimode polymer fiber. It uses two stimulation sources and takes advantage of the range of stimulable traps in this compound. We observe radioluminescence (RL) during gamma ray irradiation and show that the low-dose RL increases linearly with increasing dose rate where the minimum detectible dose rate is ∼0.015 μSv/s. We show that pulsed infrared-stimulated (940 nm) optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) can be used for real time dose monitoring. The cumulative dose can be readout after irradiation where a linear OSL dose response was observed when stimulating at 505 nm and the minimum detectable dose is ∼50 μSv.  相似文献

We present results of calculations and experiments on electron–hole complexes in InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots in high magnetic field (B). Due to hidden symmetries, the chemical potential of an N-exciton system at special B fields becomes insensitive to the exciton number as well as the magnetic field. This results in plateau regions of high intensity in measured magneto-PL spectrum. Theoretical calculations using exact diagonalization techniques successfully explain the measured magneto-photoluminescence spectrum with B fields up to 28 T.  相似文献

The upper critical field, H(c2), of Mg(B1-xCx)(2) has been measured in order to probe the maximum magnetic field range for superconductivity that can be attained by C doping. Carbon doped MgB2 filaments were prepared, and for carbon levels below 4% the transition temperatures are depressed by about 1 K/% C and H(c2)(T=0) rises by about 5 T/% C. This means that 3.8% C substitution will depress T(c) from 39.2 to 36.2 K and raise H(c2)(T=0) from 16.0 to 32.5 T. These rises in H(c2) are accompanied by a rise in resistivity at 40 K from about 0.5 to about 10 microOmega cm.  相似文献

We investigate a piecewise linear (area-preserving) mapT describing two coupled baker transformations on two squares, with coupling parameter 0c1. The resulting dynamical system is Kolmogorov for anyc0. For rational values ofc, we construct a generating partition on whichT induces a Markov chain. This Markov structure is used to discuss the decay of correlation functions: exponential decay is found for a class of functions related to the partition. Explicit results are given forc=2–n. The macroscopic analog of our model is a leaking process between two (badly) stirred containers: according to the Markov analysis, the corresponding progress variable decays exponentially, but the rate coefficients characterizing this decay are not those determined from the one-way flux across the cell boundary. The validity of the macroscopic rate law is discussed.  相似文献

The algebraic structure of chiral anomalies is made globally valid on non-trivial bundles by the introduction of a fixed background connection. High pressure optical absorption measurements have been made on additively colored RbCl and RbBr at pressures up to 10 kbar and on electrolytically colored Rbl up to 4 kbar. The pressure dependence of the F-band produced in RbCl by x-irradiation in the s.c. phase is also reported. Effects of the pressure induced structure transformation in these salts are described. F-band pressure shifts are related to a semi-empirical treatment which takes account of relative ion sizes. A new Ivey law for F-centers in host crystals having the s.c. structure is presented. This relation is established using all available F-band data including those for salts transformed to the s.c. structure by the application of high pressure.  相似文献

We prove that the renormalized solutions of the Boltzmann equation considered in a bounded domain with different types of (kinetic) boundary conditions converge to the Stokes‐Fourier system with different types of (fluid) boundary conditions when the main free path goes to zero.
