Dose measurements based on methylene blue (MB) bleaching, widely used for ultraviolet light, can also be applied to X‐rays including very high flux levels. This method has been tested by using both MB bleaching and Fricke dosimetry for a conventional monochromatic X‐ray source and then for `white‐beam' synchrotron radiation. The results show that MB bleaching dosimetry can easily measure X‐ray doses up to at least 105 Gy s?1, as long as the MB concentration is sufficiently high. This condition can be verified from the deviations from linearity of the bleaching versus exposure time. 相似文献

Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) measurements were carried out ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) grown with post-growth interruption under a dimethylzinc (DMZn) flow. The PL spectra showed sigmoidal peak shifts and V-shaped full width at half maximum (FWHM) variations with increasing temperature, which strongly suggest that the QD structure of ZnSe/ZnS is quite similar to that of other material systems grown in the Stranski–Krastanov mode. Apparent differences are revealed as a consequence of DMZn treatment: (i) the PL spectra of ZnSe/ZnS QDs showed peaks at higher energies and persisted up to 300 K, and(ii) the minimum points of the V-shaped FWHM appear at a higher temperature compared to H2-purged ZnSe/ZnS QDs. We present an overview of the electronic properties of iron arsenic high temperature superconductors with emphasis on low energy band dispersion, Fermi surface and superconducting gap. ARPES data is compared with full-potential linearized plane wave (FLAPW) calculations. We focus on single layer NdFeAsO0.9F0.1 (R1111) and two layer Ba1?xKxFe2As2 (B122) compounds. We find general similarities between experimental data and calculations in terms of character of Fermi surface pockets, and overall band dispersion. We also find a number of differences in details of the shape and size of the Fermi surfaces as well as the exact energy location of the bands, which indicate that magnetic interaction and ordering significantly affects the electronic properties of these materials. The Fermi surface consists of several hole pockets centered at Γ and electron pockets located in zone corners. The size and shape of the Fermi surface changes significantly with doping. Emergence of a coherent peak below the critical temperature Tc and diminished spectral weight at the chemical potential above Tc closely resembles the spectral characteristics of the cuprates, however the nodeless superconducting gap clearly excludes the possibility of d-wave order parameter. Transparent conducting polycrystalline Al-doped ZnO (AZO) films were deposited on sapphire substrates at substrate temperatures ranging from 200 to 300 °C by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). X-ray diffraction measurement shows that the crystalline quality of AZO films was improved with increased substrate temperature. The electrical and optical properties of the AZO films have been systematically studied via various experimental tools. The room-temperature micro-photoluminescence (µ-PL) spectra show a strong ultraviolet (UV) excitonic emission and weak deep-level emission, which indicate low structural defects in the films. A Raman shift of about 11 cm−1 is observed for the first-order longitudinal-optical (LO) phonon peak for AZO films when compared to the LO phonon peak of bulk ZnO. The Raman spectra obtained with UV resonant excitation at room temperature show multi-phonon LO modes up to third order. Optical response due to free electrons of the AZO films was characterized in the photon energy range from 0.6 to 6.5 eV by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). Widely cited evidence for scaling (self-similarity) of the returns of stocks and other securities is inconsistent with virtually all currently-used models for price movements. In particular, state-of-the-art models provide for ubiquitous, irregular, and oftentimes high-frequency fluctuations in volatility (“stochastic volatility”), both intraday and across the days, weeks, and years over which data is aggregated in demonstrations of self-similarity of returns. Stochastic volatility renders these models, which are based on variants and generalizations of random walks, incompatible with self-similarity. We show here that empirical evidence for self-similarity does not actually contradict the analytic lack of self-similarity in these models. The resolution of the mismatch between models and data can be traced to a statistical consequence of aggregating large amounts of non-stationary data. 相似文献
