We present a simple sealing method to fabricate nanofluidic channels, where plasma treated polysilsesquioxane (PSQ) thin film on a rigid support is used to bond to a hydrophilic glass surface permanently at room temperature. This method shows precise dimension control below 10 nm with easy experimental setup. Using this method, one dimensional confined shallow nanochannels with a depth as small as 8 nm and an aspect ratio of <4 x 10(-5), two dimensional confined nanochannel arrays, and integrated nano/microchannel devices with a micro-to-nano interface have been demonstrated. Smooth transfer of DNA fragments from microchannel to nanochannel through the interface area was observed.  相似文献

We report a detailed study of the interaction between surface-oxidized multiwall carbon nanotubes (o-MWCNTs) and the molecular semiconductor tetrasulfonate copper phthalocyanine (TS-CuPc). Concentrated dispersions of o-MWCNT in aqueous solutions of TS-CuPc are stable toward nanotube flocculation and exhibit spontaneous nanostructuring upon rapid drying. In addition to hydrogen-bonding interactions, the compatibility between the two components is shown to result from a ground-state charge-transfer interaction with partial charge transfer from o-MWCNT to TS-CuPc molecules orientated such that the plane of the macrocycle is parallel to the nanotube surface. The electronegativity of TS-CuPc as compared to unsubsubtituted copper phthalocyanine is shown to result from the electron-withdrawing character of the sulfonate substituents, which increase the molecular ionization potential and promote cofacial molecular aggregation upon drying. Upon spin casting to form uniform thin films, the experimental evidence is consistent with an o-MWCNT scaffold decorated with phthalocyanine molecules self-assembled into extended aggregates reminiscent of 1-D linearly stacked phthalocyanine polymers. Remarkably, this self-organization occurs in a fraction of a second during the spin-coating process. To demonstrate the potential utility of this hybrid material, it is successfully incorporated into a model organic photovoltaic cell at the interface between a poly(3-hexylthiophene):[6,6]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester bulk heterojunction layer and an indium-tin oxide-coated glass electrode to increase the light-harvesting capability of the device and facilitate hole extraction. The resulting enhancement in power conversion efficiency is rationalized in terms of the electronic, optical, and morphological properties of the nanostructured thin film.  相似文献

A model of gene regulatory networks with generalized proportional Caputo fractional derivatives is set up, and stability properties are studied. Initially, some properties of absolute value Lyapunov functions and quadratic Lyapunov functions are discussed, and also, their application to fractional order systems and the advantage of quadratic functions are pointed out. The equilibrium of the generalized proportional Caputo fractional model and its generalized exponential stability are defined, and sufficient conditions for the generalized exponential stability and asymptotic stability of the equilibrium are obtained. As a special case, the stability of the equilibrium of the Caputo fractional model is discussed. Several examples are provided to illustrate our theoretical results and the influence of the type of fractional derivative on the stability behavior of the equilibrium.  相似文献

The present study investigated the cardioprotective properties of 6-gingerol against alcohol-induced ROS-mediated cardiac tissue damage in rats. Experiments were conducted on 4 groups of rats, orally treated with control, 6-gingerol (10 mg/kg body weight), alcohol (6 g/kg body weight) and combination of 6-gingerol plus alcohol for two-month. In the results, we found 6-ginger treatment to alcohol-fed rats substantially suppressed ROS production in cardiac tissue. Alcohol-induced elevated 8-OHDG and protein carbonyls which represent oxidative modification of DNA and proteins were completely reversed by 6-gingerol. This was further endorsed by restored superoxide dismutase and catalase activities with 6-gingerol against alcohol-induced loss. The elevated cardiac biomarkers (CK-MB, cTn-T, cTn-I) and dyslipidemia in alcohol-intoxicated rats was significantly reversed by 6-gingerol. Furthermore, alcohol-induced apoptosis characterized by overexpression of cytochrome C, caspase-8 and caspase-9 was diminished with 6-gingerol treatment. Transmission electron microscope images conferred the cardioprotective properties of 6-gingerol as we have seen less structural derangements in mitochondria and reappearance of myofilaments. Our findings conclude that 6-ginger effectively protect alcohol-induced ROS-mediated cardiac tissue damage, which may be due to its potent antioxidant efficacy. Therefore, 6-gingerol could be a potential therapeutic molecule that can be used in the treatment of alcohol-induced myocardial injury.  相似文献

We propose a new active contour model for shape extraction of objects in grey‐valued two‐dimensional images based on an energy‐minimization formulation. The energy functional that we consider takes into account the two requirements of object isolation and smoothness of the contour. After deriving the Euler–Lagrange equations corresponding to the energy functional, we bring out some important geometric properties of a solution to these equations. The discussion on our solution method—with the help of which we try to minimize the energy functional by evolving an initial curve—also focuses on how to prescribe the initial curve fully automatically. We report the synthesis of colloidal Mn(2+)-doped ZnO (Mn(2+):ZnO) quantum dots and the preparation of room-temperature ferromagnetic nanocrystalline thin films. Mn(2+):ZnO nanocrystals were prepared by a hydrolysis and condensation reaction in DMSO under atmospheric conditions. Synthesis was monitored by electronic absorption and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopies. Zn(OAc)(2) was found to strongly inhibit oxidation of Mn(2+) by O(2), allowing the synthesis of Mn(2+):ZnO to be performed aerobically. Mn(2+) ions were removed from the surfaces of as-prepared nanocrystals using dodecylamine to yield high-quality internally doped Mn(2+):ZnO colloids of nearly spherical shape and uniform diameter (6.1 +/- 0.7 nm). Simulations of the highly resolved X- and Q-band nanocrystal EPR spectra, combined with quantitative analysis of magnetic susceptibilities, confirmed that the manganese is substitutionally incorporated into the ZnO nanocrystals as Mn(2+) with very homogeneous speciation, differing from bulk Mn(2+):ZnO only in the magnitude of D-strain. Robust ferromagnetism was observed in spin-coated thin films of the nanocrystals, with 300 K saturation moments as large as 1.35 micro(B)/Mn(2+) and T(C) > 350 K. A distinct ferromagnetic resonance signal was observed in the EPR spectra of the ferromagnetic films. The occurrence of ferromagnetism in Mn(2+):ZnO and its dependence on synthetic variables are discussed in the context of these and previous theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

The complexes of transition metal ions with an azamacrocyclic tetradentate nitrogen donor [N4] ligand viz. 2,6,12,16,21,22-hexaaza;3,5,13,15-tetramethyltricyclo[15.3.1.1(7-11)] docosa;1(21),2,5,7,9,11(22),12,15,17,19-decaene (L) have been synthesized. All the complexes were found to have general composition M(L)X2 [where M = manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) and X = Cl- & NO3-]. All the complexes are characterized by the elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR, IR, electronic, EPR spectral and cyclic voltammetric studies. An octahedral geometry was assigned for Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes and tetragonal for Cu(II) complexes. The biological actions of the ligand and complexes have been screened in vitro against many bacteria and pathogenic fungi to study their comparative capacity to inhibit the growth.  相似文献
