The brain is believed to be particularly vulnerable to arsenic due to its high oxygen consumption rate and high level of polyunsaturated fatty acids and relatively high rate of oxygen free radical generate without commensurable level of arsenic. Hence, in the present work an attempt is made to study the changes in the biochemical contents in the brain tissues of edible fish Labeo rohita due to arsenic intoxication using Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. FT-IR spectra reveal significant differences in absorbance intensities between the control and arsenic intoxicated brain tissues, reflecting an alteration on the major biochemical constituents, such as lipids, proteins and nucleic acids of the brain tissues of L. rohita due to arsenic intoxication. Further, the administration of antidote DMSA improves the protein and lipid contents significantly in the brain tissues when compared to arsenic intoxicated tissues. The decrease in α-helix structure due to arsenic intoxication might be responsible for the increase in β-sheet secondary structures, which is consistent with the mechanism of β-sheet formation. 相似文献

Reactions of sodium p-sulfonatocalix[4]arene and scandium(III) tristriflate in the presence, and absence, of [18]crown-6 give the crystalline complexes [Sc2(mu-OH)2(H2O)10][Na4(H2O)8-[calix[4]arene(SO3)4]2).13 H2O and [[Sc2(mu-OH)2(H2O)8][Sc(H2O)4]2[calix[4]-arene(SO3)4-H+]2([18]crown-6).16H2O. Both complexes involve novel coordination polymers with calixarene units linked through sodium or scandium centers and also feature capsule assemblies through to the head-to-head association of calixarenes. A linear array of capsules associated with an infinite chain of aquo-bridged sodium ions, and an aquated hydroxy-bridged scandium(III) dimer, [Sc2(mu-OH)2(H2O)10]4+, are found in the absence of the crown ether. In the presence of [18]crown-6 both hydrated scandium monomers and dimers bridge between calixarenes in a two-dimensional coordination network. The crown ethers reside in cavities created by two calixarenes from adjacent polymeric sheets via a variety of supramolecular interactions(hydrogen-bonding, shape complementarity), and effectively add a third dimension to the network. Exploration into the host-guest supramolecular chemistry of p-sulfonatocalix[6]arene with pyridine N-oxide and 4,4'-dipyridine N,N'-dioxide has resulted in the characterization of three new structural motifs with the calixarene in the "up-down" double partial cone conformation. Two are hydrogen-bonded network structures formed with pyridine N-oxide and either nickel or lanthanide metal counterions (1 and 2, respectively). Complex 1 displays host-guest interactions between pyridine N-oxide and the calixarene in the presence of hexaaquanickel(II) counterions. Complex 2 demonstrates selective coordination modes for different lanthanides involving the calixarene and pyridine N-oxide. The third structure, 3, is a coordination polymer which is formed with 4,4'-dipyridine N,N'-dioxide molecules which span a hydrophilic layer and join lanthanide/p-sulfonatocalix[6]arene fragments. Although complexes 1-3 all have the calixarene in the "up-down" double partial cone conformation, 1 and 3 form bilayer arrangements within the extended structures while 2 forms a previously unseen corrugated bilayer arrangement. 相似文献

The metalation of substituted N,N'-di-tert-butylethylenediamines by various aluminum hydride sources has been investigated. HN(t-Bu)CH(t-Bu)CH(2)N(H)(t-Bu) forms a dimeric lithium chelated adduct of LiAlH(4), [{[HN(t-Bu)CH(t-Bu)CH(2)N(H)(t-Bu)]Li(&mgr;-H)(2)AlH(2)}(2)], 4, which thermally decomposes to yield the tetrameric lithium diamidoaluminum hydride [{Li[N(t-Bu)CH(t-Bu)CH(2)N(t-Bu)]AlH(2)}(4)], 5. The same diamine reacts with AlH(3).NMe(3) or AlH(3) diethyl etherate to give the secondary amine stabilized amidoaluminum hydride species [{HN(t-Bu)CH(t-Bu)CH(2)N(t-Bu)}AlH(2)], 2. Similarly, the same aluminum hydride sources react with the diamine rac-HN(t-Bu)CH(Me)CH(Me)N(H)(t-Bu) to yield [{rac-HN(t-Bu)CH(Me)CH(Me)N(t-Bu)}AlH(2)], 3. Compounds 2 and 3 are stable with respect to elimination of hydrogen to form diamidoaluminum hydrides, but can be converted to the alane rich species, [H(2)Al{N(t-Bu)CH(t-Bu)CH(2)N(t-Bu)}AlH(2)],6, and [H(2)Al{rac-N(t-Bu)CH(Me)CH(Me)N(t-Bu)}AlH(2)], 7, by reaction with AlH(3).NMe(3) under special conditions. The varying reactivity of the three aluminum hydride sources in these reactions has enabled mechanistic information to be gathered, and the effect of the different steric requirements in the diamines on the stability of the complexes is discussed. Crystals of 3are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n (No. 14), with a = 8.910(4), b = 14.809(1), and c = 12.239(6) ?, beta = 109.76(2) degrees, V = 1520(1) ?(3), and Z = 4. Enzymes catalyze chemical transformations with outstanding stereo‐ and regio‐specificities, but many enzymes are limited by their long reaction times. A general method to accelerate enzymes using pressure waves contained within thin films is described. Each enzyme responds best to specific frequencies of pressure waves, and an acceleration landscape for each protein is reported. A vortex fluidic device introduces pressure waves that drive increased rate constants (kcat) and enzymatic efficiency (kcat/Km). Four enzymes displayed an average seven‐fold acceleration, with deoxyribose‐5‐phosphate aldolase (DERA) achieving an average 15‐fold enhancement using this approach. In solving a common problem in enzyme catalysis, a powerful, generalizable tool for enzyme acceleration has been uncovered. This research provides new insights into previously uncontrolled factors affecting enzyme function. 相似文献

The inclusion of o-carborane by p-Bu(t)-calix[7,9]arenes has been investigated by solid state and solution studies, with both resulting complexes in the solid state being rich in carborane with the ratio of calixarene to carborane at 1 : 7 and 2 : 7 respectively.
