A method based on headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is proposed for the quality control of multilayer packaging and its manufacturing process. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are produced in the manufacturing process of the packaging. They can cause organoleptic problems or modify the properties of the packaging depending on the nature and the amount of the VOCs formed. The quantification using packaging samples with a known VOC concentration for the calibration is proposed in order to reduce the analysis time, and the method is validated using a statistical test. Finally, the method is applied to the determination of odour-responsible compounds in multilayer packaging samples obtained under different extrusion-coating conditions, i.e. type of extruder, type of polymer and extrusion speed. 相似文献

A multi-pumping flow system (MPFS) for the spectrophotometric determination of dissolved orthophosphate and dissolved organic phosphorus in wastewater samples is proposed. The determination of orthophosphate is based on the vanadomolybdate method. In-line ultraviolet photo-oxidation is employed to mineralise organic phosphorus to orthophosphate prior to detection. A solenoid valve allows the deviation of the flow towards the UV-lamp to carry out the determination of organic phosphorus.Calibration was found to be linear up to 20 mg P L−1, with a detection limit (3sb/S) of 0.08 mg P L−1, an injection throughput of 75 injections h−1 and a repeatability (R.S.D.) of 0.6% for the direct determination of orthophosphate. On the other hand, calibration graphs were linear up to 40 mg P L−1, with a detection limit (3sb/S) of 0.5 mg P L−1, an injection throughput of 11 injections h−1 and a repeatability (R.S.D.) inferior to 2.3% for the procedures involving UV photo-oxidation. 相似文献

Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a bimodal radiotherapeutic treatment based on the irradiation of neoplastic tissues
with neutrons after the tissues have selectively accumulated molecules loaded with nuclides with large neutron capture cross-sections
(such boron-10). Boron-10 carriers have been tested to a limited extent, and clinical trials have been conducted on sulfhydryl
borane (10B-BSH) and boronophenylalanine (10B-BPA). However, precise and accurate measurements of boron-10 concentrations (0.1–100 μg/g) in specimens and samples of limited
size (μg scale) are needed in order to be able to biologically characterise new compounds in predictive tissue dosimetry,
toxicology and pharmacology studies as well as in clinical investigations. A new approach based on fast separation and detection
of 10B-BPA performed by coupling capillary electrophoresis to electrospray mass spectrometry is reported. This method allows the
quantitative analysis and characterisation of 10B-BPA in a short time with a high separation efficiency. Detection limits of 3 μM for 10B-BPA and 30 ng/mL for 10B were obtained with CE–ESI–MS. A quantification limit of 10 μM for 10B-BPA (100 ng/mL for 10B) was attained. The total boron-10 concentration was determined by high-resolution inductively coupled mass spectrometry
in order to validate the method. Boron-10 isotope measurements were carried out by HR–ICP–MS at medium resolution (R=4000)
due to the presence of an isobaric interference at mass 10. Good agreement was obtained between the values from CE–ESI–MS

Two new C2 chiral bidentate phosphorous ligands have been prepared in enantiomerically pure form. The two phosphorous centers bear electron-withdrawing groups ((CF3)2CH? O, C6F5) and are linked by a trans-cyclopentane-1,2-diol-derived bridge. The phytochemical study of the root extract of the stilbenoid-rich Vitis riparia × Vitis berlandieri grapevine was carried out by centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC). For this reason, we developed a new elution mode we named back-step, which allowed us to obtain cleaner fractions and a more efficient separation process when used in conjunction with a classical elution approach. Three hydroxystilbenes: (E)-resveratrol, (E)-?-viniferin and (E)-vitisin C, with greater than 90% purity were thus obtained through such process, with minimal sample handling and purification steps. Online coupling of CPC to ESI mass spectrometry was used for optimization of the separation parameters and to facilitate the characterization of the stilbenoids. This study details the first phytochemical investigation of stilbenoids from the hybrid species together with a new elution mode able to widen the range of ARIZONA biphasic systems. 相似文献
