The study of the energy localization in f(R) theories of gravity has attracted much interest in recent years. In this paper, the vacuum solutions of the modified field equations for a power model of plane symmetric metric are studied in metric f(R) gravity with the assumption of constant Ricci scalar. Next, we determine the energy-momentum complexes in f(R) theories of gravity for this spacetime for some important models. In this paper, the effects of interband and intraband transitions on the gain and phase stabilities in quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifier (QD-SOA) are investigated both temporally and spectrally employing electrical and optical pumping schemes. For this purpose, the carrier rate equations in different energy states coupled to the traveling wave optical field equation have been numerically solved to derive the dynamical behavior of QD-SOA. Our results show that the gain and phase response can be stabled under optical pumping (OP) scheme because the role of the interband and intraband transitions on the dynamics of QD-SOA is reduced. This behavior leads to high-speed pattern effect-free cross-phase modulation (XPM) in QD-SOA. It is found that optically pumped QD-SOA can have high performance in phase based applications. Moreover, it is shown that under OP scheme although the QD-SOA has lower gain value and slower gain recovery time, the ultrafast cross-gain modulation (XGM) without pattern effect is possible and the phase is recovered within a shorter time compared to EP scheme. The behavior arises from the different capacity of the carrier reservoir for pumping schemes. 相似文献

By using a mean-field approximation which describes the coupled oscillations of condensate and noncondensate atoms in the collisionless regime, Landau damping in a dilute dipolar Bose–Fermi mixture in the BEC limit where Fermi superfluid is treated as tightly bounded molecules, is investigated. In the case of a uniform quasi-two-dimensional(2D)case, the results for the Landau damping due to the Bose–Fermi interaction are obtained at low and high temperatures. It is shown that at low temperatures, the Landau damping rate is exponentially suppressed. By increasing the strength of dipolar interaction, and the energy of boson quasiparticles, Landau damping is suppressed over a broader temperature range. 相似文献

The superconducting reservoir effect on the current carrying transport of a double quantum dot in Markovian regime is investigated. For this purpose, a quantum master equation at finite temperature is derived for the many-body density matrix of an open quantum system. The dynamics and the steady-state properties of the double quantum dot system for arbitrary bias are studied. We will show that how the populations and coherencies of the system states are affected by superconducting leads. The energy parameter of system contains essentially four contributions due to dots system-electrodes coupling, intra dot coupling, two quantum dots inter coupling and superconducting gap. The coupling effect of each energy contribution is applied to currents and coherencies results. In addition, the effect of energy gap is studied by considering the amplitude and lifetime of coherencies to get more current through the system. 相似文献

In this study, passive cooling of a room using a solar chimney and water spraying system in the room inlet vents is simulated numerically in Yazd, Iran (a hot and arid city with very high solar radiation). The performance of this system has been investigated for the warmest day of the year (5 August) which depends on the variation of some parameters such as water flow rate, solar heat flux, and inlet air temperature. In order to get the best performance of the system for maximum air change and also absorb the highest solar heat flux by the absorber in the warmest time of the day, different directions (West, East, North and South) have been studied and the West direction has been selected as the best direction. The minimum amount of water used in spraying system to set the inside air averaged relative humidity <65 % is obtained using trial and error method. The simulation results show that this proposed system decreases the averaged air temperature in the middle of the room by 9–14 °C and increases the room relative humidity about 28–45 %. 相似文献

In this paper we make a connection between covariant elasticity based on covariance of energy balance and Lagrangian field theory of elasticity with two background metrics. We use Kucha?’s idea of reparametrization of field theories and make elasticity generally covariant by introducing a “covariance field”, which is a time-independent spatial diffeomorphism. We define a modified action for parameterized elasticity and show that the Doyle-Ericksen formula and spatial homogeneity of the Lagrangian density are among its Euler–Lagrange equations. 相似文献
