Co3O4/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with variable Co3O4 loadings (5–20 wt%) and deposition of 15% Co3O4 on La2O3/γ-Al2O3 were prepared by wet impregnation method. La2O3-γ-Al2O3 support with variable composition of La2O3 (2–6 wt%) were prepared by co-precipitation method. All the catalysts were tested for oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene with CO2 as soft oxidant. Among the Co3O4/γ-Al2O3 catalysts, 15% Co3O4/γ-Al2O3 has shown good performance and hence this catalyst has been chosen to investigate the effect of La2O3 species. CO2 pulse chemisorption data indicate more amount of CO2 uptake over 15% Co3O4/4%La2O3/γ-Al2O3 catalyst which clearly indicates that this catalyst exhibits good performance in ethylbenzene dehydrogenation with CO2 as soft oxidant because of reverse water gas shift reaction. Temperature programmed reduction studies indicate that the Co3O4 catalysts follow two step reduction mechanism from Co3O4 to CoO and then to Co and La2O3 promotional effect is visible through facile reduction of Co3O4 species. La2O3 doping has a vital influence in getting enhanced ethylbenzene conversion, styrene yield and alleviates catalyst deactivation compared to that of unpromoted Co3O4/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. TGA studies indicate the presence low amount coke deposition during time-on-stream over 15% Co3O4/4%La2O3/γ-Al2O3 catalyst compared to 15% Co3O4/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. 相似文献

The overall objective of this investigation is to achieve high‐performance membranes with respect to flux and rejection characteristics, with an interplay of blending polymers having desired qualities. Thus, cellulose diacetate and polyethersulfone as candidate materials, in the presence of polyethylene glycol 600 as a pore forming agent, were blended in 100/0, 95/5, 90/10, 85/15, 80,20 and 75/25% compositions using N,N′‐dimethylformamide as solvent and membranes were prepared by the phase inversion technique. Polymer blend composition, additive concentration, and casting and gelation conditions were standardized for the preparation of asymmetric membranes with various pore statistics and morphology. These blend membranes were characterized for compaction in ultrafiltration experiments at 414 kPa pressure in order to attain steady state flux and is reached within 4–5 hr. The pure water flux was measured at 345 kPa pressure and is determined largely by the composition of polyethersulfone and additive concentration. The flux was found to reach the highest values of 66.5 and 275 1/(cm2 hr) at 0 and 10 wt% additive concentrations respectively, at 25% SPS content of the blend. Membrane hydraulic resistance derived by measuring water flux at various transmembrane pressure and by using an algorithm was found to be inversely proportional to pure water flux. Water content is estimated by simple drying and weighing procedures and found proportional to pure water flux for all the membranes. The molecular weight cut‐offs (MWCOs) of different membranes were determined with proteins of different molecular weights and found to vary from 20–69 kDa (globular proteins) depending on the PEG and SPS content in the casting dope. Skin surface porosity of the membranes were analyzed by scanning the frozen membrane samples using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) at different magnifications. Mild, efficient and eco-friendly oxidation of 17alpha-methylandrostan-3beta-17beta-diol (1) has been studied with three different reagents viz. pentavalent iodine reagent 2-iodoxy benzoic acid (IBX) in DMSO at 65 degrees C, sodium hypochlorite and H2O2/Na2WO4 under phase transfer conditions to give 17beta-hydroxy-17alpha-methylandrostan-3-one (mestanolone 2), a drug intermediate as oxidized product. The H2O2/Na2WO4/PTC gave mestanolone in high yield and purity whereas sodium hypochlorite/PTC system yielded some chlorinated material along with the mestanolone. However, 1 with 2.5 equivalent of IBX gave 17beta-hydroxy-17alpha-methyl-Delta1-androsten-3-one (3) under the similar reaction conditions in good yield and single step reaction. 相似文献

From analysis by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), the presence of either 2,4,5-tribromo-1H-imidazole (1) or 3,4,5-tribromo-1H-pyrazole (2) was tentatively identified in lipophilic extracts from the egg masses of three muricid molluscs. Synthesis of these compounds, followed by comparison of the GC retention times and fragmentation patterns from electron impact MS, with those of the natural products, indicated that it was 2,4,5-tribromo-1H-imidazole rather than the pyrazole. This imidazole is likely to be responsible for some of the antimicrobial activity observed in the egg extracts. This is the first report of this compound from a natural source. 相似文献

A new series of N-substituted bis-(tetrahydropapaverine) ring systems have been synthesised in expectation of better antispasmodic activity in comparison with papaverine. The synthesis of the targeted heterocycles is described along with a discussion of their structure activity relationship. The general synthetic methods of bis-(tetrahydropapaverine) analogues involve tetrahydropapaverine, various piperazines, diisocyanates and diisothiocyanates as starting materials. Pharmacological evaluation involves the in vitro antispasmodic activity on a freshly removed guinea pig ileum using a force displacement transducer amplifier connected to a physiograph. Among the analogues synthesized in the present study, N,N'-bis-[2-carbamoyl-1-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-6,7-dimethoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolinyl]piperazine (22), was found to be the most potent muscle relaxant (IC(50): 0.31 microM). 相似文献

A general and novel solution to the synthesis of biologically important stable analogues of prostacyclin PGI(2), namely benzindene prostacyclins, has been achieved via the stereoselective intramolecular Pauson-Khand cyclization (PKC). This work illustrates for the first time the synthetic utility and reliability of the asymmetric PKC route for synthesis and subsequent manufacture of a complex drug substance on a multikilogram scale. The synthetic route surmounts issues of individual step stereoselectivity and scalability. The key step in the synthesis involves efficient stereoselection effected in the PKC of a benzoenyne under the agency of the benzylic OTBDMS group, which serves as a temporary stereodirecting group that is conveniently removed via benzylic hydrogenolysis concomitantly with the catalytic hydrogenation of the enone PKC product. Thus the benzylic chiral center dictates the subsequent stereochemistry of the stereogenic centers at three carbon atoms (C(3a), C(9a), and C(1)). 相似文献

Three copper(II) complexes, 1, 2, and 3 with L(1), L(2) and L(3) [L(1) = 2-(2-aminoethyl)-pyridine; L(2) = 2-(N-ethyl-2-aminoethyl)-pyridine; L(3) = 3,3'-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine)], respectively, were synthesized and characterized. Addition of nitric oxide gas to the degassed acetonitrile solution of the complexes were found to result in the reduction of the copper(II) center to copper(I). In cases of complexes 1 and 2, the formation of the [Cu(II)-NO] intermediate prior to the reduction of Cu(II) was evidenced by UV-visible, solution FT-IR and X-band EPR spectroscopic studies. However, for complex 3, the formation of [Cu(II)-NO] has not been observed. DFT calculations on the [Cu(II)-NO] intermediate generated from complex 1 suggest a distorted square pyramidal geometry with the NO ligand coordinated to the Cu(II) center at an equatorial site in a bent geometry. In the case of complex 1, the reduction of the copper(II) center by nitric oxide afforded ligand transformation through diazotization at the primary amine site in acetonitrile solution; whereas, in an acetonitrile-water mixture, it resulted in 2-(pyridine-2-yl)ethanol. On the other hand, in cases of complexes 2 and 3, it was found to yield N-nitrosation at the secondary amine site in the ligand frameworks.
