Studies on chemical modification of demineralized bone matrix (DBM) have opened new arenas in the field of clinical orthopedics owing to its potential osteoinductivity with desired chemical functionality. To widen its usage to biomolecular delivery, graft polymerization of glycidylmethacrylate onto DBM was carried out by a free-radical initiating process using ceric ammonium nitrate as an initiator. The evidence of the grafting reaction was examined by chemical analysis using Fourier transform IR spectroscopy. The grafting condition was standardized by regulating the reaction parameters such as the concentrations of the backbone, the monomer and the initiator, the polymerization temperature and time. The optimum polymerization temperature and time to have the maximum grafting yield were 40 °C and 3 h, respectively. The percentage of grafting and the percentage of grafting efficiency were determined as a function of the reaction parameters, and both were found to increasing initially and thereafter decrease in most of the cases. The grafting results are discussed in a detailed fashion and a reaction mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

The changes in free energy, enthalpy and entropy for the extraction of thorium by solutions of thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) and mixtures of solutions of HTTA and tri-n-butylphosphate (TBP), in three diluents, viz. cyclohexane, benzene and chloroform, were determined using the solvent extraction data obtained at different temperatures. From these data the thermodynamic parameters associated with the formation of Th(TTA)4 · TBP in the respective organic diluents were evaluated. Trends in the enthalpy changes were attributed to different degrees of association of the diluents with themselves and with the solutes present in them.  相似文献

Ruthenium halides (Cl and Br) react with monotertiary arsines-Ph2RAs (R=Me, Et, Pr n ) in methoxyethanol, in the presence of aq. formaldehyde to give monocarbonyl complexes of ruthenium(II) of the type RuX2(CO) (Ph2RAs)3. Carbonylation of an ethanolic solution containing ruthenium trichloride and the arsine at room temperature yieldtrans dicarbonyl compounds of the formula RuCl2(CO)2 (Ph2RAs)2. The osmium monocarbonyls OsX2(CO) (Ph2RAs)3 (X=Cl, Br; R=Me, Et) react with NaBH4 in methanol to yield complexes of the composition OsHX(CO) (Ph2RAs)3. The ruthenium analogues RuHCl(CO) (Ph2RAs)3 have also been made. Structures have been assigned to all these compounds on the basis of IR and NMR spectral results.  相似文献

A novel, unprecedented transformation of δ-hydroxysulfoxides into substituted tetrahydrofurans by a silicon promoted Pummerer type reaction is disclosed. The transformation is shown to be general and is brought about under very mild reaction conditions. The products with the sulfide group at the anomeric carbon provide a suitable handle to carry out further transformations.  相似文献

Abstract —The nitrobiphenyl ether herbicides; 4-nitrobiphenyl ether, bifenox, nitrofen, acifluorfen, acifluorfen-methyl, acifluorfen-ethyl, and oxyfluorfen were reduced to their corresponding nitro radical anions by visible light in the presence of β-carotene, lycopene, retinol, retinal, retinoic acid and retinyl acetate in anaerobic solutions at high pH. It was more difficult to obtain spectra of bifenox, nitrofen and oxyfluorfen than acifluorfen derivatives, probably due to their poor solubilities. In neutral solutions the steady-state concentration of the nitro radical anions was low due to their faster rate of dispropor-tionation and the poor solubility of β-carotene. In the presence of retinal, the nitro radical anion of acifluorfen was produced at pH 7.4. Compounds containing conjugated double bonds such as crotonaldehyde and 2.4-hexadienal also reduced acifluorfen and its derivatives to their respective nitro radical anions in the presence of light. Ubiquinone-50 which does not contain conjugated double bonds in the side chain did not reduce acifluorfen under similar conditions.  相似文献

The kinetics of oxidation of thiocarbohydrazide in the free and zinc(Ⅱ)-bound states byacid bromate have been studied in aqueous and water-acetic acid(1:1,V/V)media under varyingconditions,both in the absence and presence of added bromide ion.The rates of oxidations show firstorder kinetics in[bromate]in all the cases,but exhibit different kinetic behaviour in[substrate]and[H~+].Oxidation of TCH in aqueous medium shows zero order in[TCH]and nearly second order in[H~+],while oxidation in aqueous acetic acid shows two ranges in[H~+].The rate shows first and fractionalorder kinetics in[TCH]in the first and second acid ranges.Kinetics observed in the presence of Br~-are similar to those observed for oxidation of TCH in second acid range.In addition,the reactionshows fractional order in[Br~-].Oxidation of TCH in Zn(Ⅱ)-bound state exhibits first order kinetics in[substrate]and second order in[H~+].Increase in ionic strength of the medium decreases the rate in allthe cases.Increase in acetic acid composition of the solvent increases the rate.Mechanisms consistentwith the observed results have been considered and the rate laws deduced.The rate limiting steps havebeen identified and the coefficients of these steps have been calculated at different temperatures.Therelated activation parameters have also been computed.The validity of the deduced rate laws has alsobeen tested by recalculating the rate constants from them as[TCH]and[H~+]are varied.  相似文献

Diethazine hydrochloride, butaperazine dimaleate, trifluoperazine hydrochloride, promethazine hydrochloride, prochlorperazine maleate and chlorpromazine hydrochloride have been studied as indicators in bromate titration of quinol, metol and ascorbic acid. They give a very sharp reversible colour change at the equivalence point. Their formal potentials have been determined.
