Some results on the generalized hypercenter of finite groups

We study the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that certain subgroups lie in the generalized hypercenter of G.     

Solvatochromic responses and pH effects on the electronic spectra of some azo derivatives of 1-amino-2-hydroxy-4-naphthalenesulfonic acid

Synthesis and characterization of five arylazo derivatives of 1-amino-2-hydroxy-4-naphthalenesulfonic acid (H₂L¹) are reported. The UV/Vis absorption spectra of the parent compound (H₂L¹) and its arylazo derivatives (H₂L²–H₄L⁶) have been measured at room temperature in seven solvents of different polarities and with variable parameters. The electronic transitions were analyzed using SPSS program, linear regression technique and Kamlet–Taft’s equation to permit a good understanding of solvent-induced spectral shifts. The electronic absorption spectra of the prepared compounds containing different substituents were studied in aqueous solutions at different pH values. The pK values of the investigated compounds were evaluated spectrophotometrically. The prevailing acid species present at any pH range are judged from the constructed distribution diagrams.     

<Superscript>99</Superscript>Mo/<Superscript>99m</Superscript>Tc generators based on aluminum molybdate gel matrix prepared by nano method

A procedure for preparation of ⁹⁹Mo/^99mTc radioisotope generator based on low specific activity neutron activated ⁹⁹Mo was developed. Aluminum molybdate(VI)-⁹⁹Mo of high Mo(VI) content (~?364 mg/g Al⁹⁹Mo) was prepared by mixing low specific activity molybdate(VI)-⁹⁹Mo and aluminum mixture solution with isoamyl alcohol. Al⁹⁹Mo gel matrix was precipitated when the pH of the mixture solution was raised to ~?5 by addition of NaOH to the mixture. Radiometric measurements indicate the strong fixation of Molybdate(VI)-⁹⁹Mo species in the form of the sparingly insoluble Al⁹⁹Mo gel matrix. The prepared AlMo gel matrix was physiochemically characterized. Al⁹⁹Mo gel matrix was used as a base material for preparation of ⁹⁹Mo/^99mTc generator. The ^99mTc eluted from ⁹⁹Mo/^99mTc radioisotope generator was found to have relatively high elution yield (84?±?2.3%), radionuclidic (≥?99.99%), radiochemical (98.1?±?0.9%) and chemical purity.     

Trinuclear rare earth metal complexes based on 1,3,5-triamino-1,3,5-trideoxy-cis inositol as catalysts for the hydrolysis of phosphodiesters

Trinuclear rare-earth metal complexes [M?(taciH??)?](3+) (M = La(3+), Y(3+)), based on a rigid polyamino-polyalcohol ligand 1,3,5-triamino-1,3,5-trideoxy-cis-inositol (taci), are proven to be efficient catalysts for the hydrolysis of 2-hydroxypropyl-4-nitrophenyl phophate (HPNP), a commonly used RNA model system.     

New EDTA determination method based on ion chromatography with suppressed conductimetric detection

A novel direct method for the determination of EDTA in alkaline radioactive evaporator residue solution was developed and validated based on ion chromatography with suppressed conductimetric detection and anion exchange columns (A Supp 4, 4 mm × 250 mm and A Supp 5, 4 mm × 150 mm). The yttrium-EDTA complex resulted one single chromatographic peak in the eluent and allowed the correct determination of EDTA in an alkaline, high concentration radioactive waste water. Depending on coexisting substances, suitable eluent is 10.0 mM carbonate buffer/pH 10.6 or 10.75 (t _R,Y–EDTA = 7.01 and 6.4 min, respectively). For 10.0 mM carbonate buffer/pH 10.6 and isocratic flow rate of 1.0 cm³/min, a linear calibration curve was obtained from 5 to 40 mg/dm³ (r > 0.999) EDTA. Good resolution was achieved from commonly coexisting anions (chloride, nitrite, nitrate, sulphate, phosphate, bromide and citrate). The developed simple ion chromatographic method was applied for the assay of EDTA in various radioactive alkaline solutions.     

Novel Synthesis of Some Imidazolyl‐, Benzoxazinyl‐, and Quinazolinyl‐2,4‐dioxothiazolidine Derivatives

2‐(2,4‐Dioxothiazolidin‐5‐yl)acetic acid 1 and its chloride derivative 2 were allowed to react with different aromatic amines such as o‐phenylenediamine, o‐aminothiophenol, p‐aminoacetophenone, and anthranilic acid to give the biologically active nuclei such as imidazoles, thiazoles, benzoxazines, and quinazolines incorporated with the thiazolidindione nucleus. The antimicrobial activity of five of the synthesized compounds was examined against one gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), one gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli), and two fungi (Aspergillus flavus and Candida albicans). Four compounds showed moderate antibacterial and antifungal activities.     

Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ),Mn(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ)和Cd(Ⅱ)的乙基3-(2-氨硫化亚肼基)-2-(羟胺基)丁烯酸酯配合物:合成、表征和细胞毒性(英文)

合成了Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ),Mn(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ)和Cd(Ⅱ)的乙基3-(2-氨硫化亚肼基)-2-(羟胺基)丁烯酸酯配合物(H2L)并用元素分析,DTA热分析,IR,UV-Vis,1H-NMR,质谱,顺磁共振以及磁矩,电导率测量等对合成的配合物进行表征。摩尔电导率测量结果证明合成的配合物为非电解质。光谱数据表明配体分别表现为一元的三齿配体,一元的二齿配体,中性的二齿配体,中性的三齿配体,一元的四齿配体或二元的四齿配体通过席夫碱的氮原子,氨基硫脲中的氮原子,肟中的氮原子和硫酮中的硫原子与金属离子键合生成围绕金属离子的四面体或平面正方形构型。固态Cu(Ⅱ)(2),(3),(4)和(5)的配合物顺磁共振谱表明其为轴向对称,但(10~15)的配合物却为各向异性。配体和配合物(2),(3),(10),(13),(16)和(19)由于它们对乳腺癌(MCF-7细胞系)和肝癌(HePG-2细胞系)的抑制作用而表现出潜在的抗癌活性。
