Measurement of K β K /α values using proton beamvalues using proton beam

The Measurement of K _β K _/α intensity ratios are measured in some 3d shell elements by using a 2 MeV proton beam along with a high resolution Si(Li) detector. The present Measurement of K _β K _/α intensity ratios are in good agreement with Scofield modified theoretical values, thus supporting the basic assumptions in that theory. From the present Measurement of K _β K _/α intensity ratios, it is evident that due to chemical effects, the experimental Measurement of K _β K _/α intensity ratios will be increased while they will be decreased due to the presence of simultaneous M-shell vacancies which are produced due to proton excitation.     

H-β-zeolite catalyzed synthesis of β-bromostyrenes from styrene bromohydrins

Synthesis of β-bromostyrenes from styrene bromohydrins using H-β-zeolite as catalyst under moderate conditions is reported. The catalyst could be regenerated and reused up to three consecutive cycles.     

Single‐step oxidative homocoupling of aryl Grignard reagents via Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) Complexes under air

A simple catalytic system of direct synthesis for the symmetrical biaryls using catalytic amounts of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes has been developed. The reaction system involves in situ synthesis of Grignard reagents. The complexes, containing bidentate Schiff base and dmit (2‐thioxo‐1,3‐dithiole‐4,5‐dithiolate) ligands, were compatible with diverse functionalities and afford a high yield of biaryls in a single step, proving to be promising catalysts in homocoupling reactions. Solvent extraction of Ni(II) from sulfate solutions with LIX 84I: flow-sheet for the separation of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II).

This paper reports on solvent-extraction studies of Ni(II) from sulfate solutions with LIX 84I (2-hydroxy-5-nonylacetophenoneoxime) as the extractant. The extraction of metal depends on the equilibrium pH of the aqueous phase and the extractant concentration. The transfer of metal follows a cation exchange-type mechanism: Ni2+ + 2HA --> NiA2 + 2H+. Extraction varies with the nature of the diluents. Temperature has no effect on the extraction of metal. The extraction behavior of associated metals clearly demonstrates the application of LIX 84I as the extractant for the separation of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II). Based on the results, a flow sheet of the process was developed.     

A general method for the synthesis of 1-substituted (or unsubstituted)-4-carbomethoxy-2-imidazolin-5-ones

A general method for the synthesis of the title compounds by employing the reagent methyl $\text{N}$-(dicarbomethoxymethyl)methanimidate is described. The preparation, properties and reactions of the reagent are also reported.     

On ideal-function-like functions

The aim of this paper is to extend the considerations of the first and the third authors and others to the setting of Suetuna, i.e. we consider some important sums of multiplicative ideal-functions in relative extensions of number fields. This contains most of the earlier work on those sums related to the divisor and the circle problems.     

The characterization of modified silica-alumina catalysts active in the synthesis of picolines

The SiO₂–Al₂O₃ catalyst is modified by promoters like Pb, Cr, Cu. The SiO₂–Al₂O₃ catalyst is also modified using two elements by a simultaneous or stepwise impregnation method.
