Here we report the results of combined powder X-ray and neutron diffraction studies of Bi4?x Nd x Ti3O12 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 2.0) compositions. The parent Bi4Ti3O12 has an orthorhombic lattice (space group: B2cb) with unit cell parameters a = 5.4432(5) Å, b = 5.4099(5) Å and c = 32.821(2) Å, and V = 966.5(1) Å3. This orthorhombic lattice is retained in all the studied compositions. The unit cell parameters gradually decrease with Nd3+ ion concentration with a discontinuity at x = 0.75. Orthorhombicity of the lattice decreases with increase in Nd3+ content in the lattice. The orthorhombic unit cell parameters for a representative Bi2Nd2Ti3O12 composition are: a = 5.3834(9), b = 5.3846(9) and c = 32.784(1) Å. The observed orthorhombic distortion at x = 2.0 is very small and thus the crystal structure apparently has a pseudo-tetragonal lattice. In addition, Nd3+ preferentially substitutes in the perovskite slab of the Aurivillius structure. The fraction of Nd3+ in the fluorite slab increases with increase in Nd3+ contents.  相似文献

We obtain, by extensive direct numerical simulations, time-dependent and equal-time structure functions for the vorticity, in both quasi-Lagrangian and Eulerian frames, for the direct-cascade regime in two-dimensional fluid turbulence with air-drag-induced friction. We show that different ways of extracting time scales from these time-dependent structure functions lead to different dynamic-multiscaling exponents, which are related to equal-time multiscaling exponents by different classes of bridge relations; for a representative value of the friction we verify that, given our error bars, these bridge relations hold.  相似文献

The biopolymer solid electrolyte has been synthesized and characterized. Potassium iodide (KI) has been added in polymer matrix to develop solid polymer electrolyte. Relationships between electrical, ionic transport parameter and mechanism have been studied in detail. Impedance spectroscopy reveals the detailed electrical studies and ion transport mechanism. The ion dissociation factor is compared with a measured dielectric constant at a fixed frequency. The dielectric data are calculated which support the ionic conductivity data.  相似文献

Herein we report our method of water solubilization and subsequent functionalization of a variety of nanoparticle systems with amphiphilic polymers containing build-in "chemical handles". We have used these polymers, which have narrow polydispersity indices, to impart water solubility and chemical sensitivity toward targeted species (here: pH). These material systems have high chemical conjugation efficiencies in aqueous conditions which may be used to create a variety of chemical and biological multifunctional materials.  相似文献

We report on a dendronized bis-urea macrocycle 1 self-assembling via a cooperative mechanism into two-dimensional (2D) nanosheets formed solely by alternated urea-urea hydrogen bonding interactions. The pure macrocycle self-assembles in bulk into one-dimensional liquid-crystalline columnar phases. In contrast, its self-assembly mode drastically changes in CHCl3 or tetrachloroethane, leading to 2D hydrogen-bonded networks. Theoretical calculations, complemented by previously reported crystalline structures, indicate that the 2D assembly is formed by a brick-like hydrogen bonding pattern between bis-urea macrocycles. This assembly is promoted by the swelling of the trisdodecyloxyphenyl groups upon solvation, which frustrates, due to steric effects, the formation of the thermodynamically more stable columnar macrocycle stacks. This work proposes a new design strategy to access 2D supramolecular polymers by means of a single non-covalent interaction motif, which is of great interest for materials development.  相似文献

A series of 2-[4-cyano-(3-trifluoromethyl)phenyl amino)]-4-(4-quinoline/coumarin-4-yloxy)-6-(fluoropiperazinyl)-s-triazines has been synthesized by a simple and efficient synthetic protocol. The antimicrobial activity of the compounds was studied against several bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus MTCC 96, Bacillus cereus MTCC 619, Escherichia coli MTCC 739, Pseudomonas aeruginosa MTCC 741, Klebsiella pneumoniae MTCC 109, Salmonella typhi MTCC 733, Proteus vulgaris MTCC 1771, Shigella flexneria MTCC 1457) and fungi (Aspergillus niger MTCC 282, Aspergillus fumigatus MTCC 343, Aspergillus clavatus MTCC 1323, Candida albicans MTCC 183) using paper disc diffusion technique and agar streak dilution method. Newly synthesized compounds were also tested for their in vitro antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv using BACTEC MGIT and Lowenstein-Jensen MIC method.  相似文献

Langmuir monolayers of poly-N-vinyl carbazole (PNVK) were obtained by dispensing PNVK dissolved in tetrahydrofuran onto an air-water interface. Surface pressure-area isotherms of mixed monolayer of the PNVK were studied under different subphase conditions such as temperature and pH of the subphase. It was demonstrated that the monolayer of PNVK remained stable over a temperature range of 10–40°C. The area per molecule of the solid phase was found to be 31Å2. These monolayers were transferred onto indium-tin-oxide-coated glass plates and characterized by spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques.  相似文献
