A convenient one-pot three-component transformation between 4-aryl-5H-1,2,3-oxathiazole-2,2-dioxides, trans-β-aryl/alkyl-substituted acroleins and paraformaldehyde in CH2Cl2 at room temperature in the presence of commercially available l-proline and DBU as the organocatalysts has been successfully realized for the first time via a Michael-condensation-hemiacetalization sequence process. The resulting functionalized spiro-sulfamidate imine fused δ-lactone scaffolds were obtained via in situ oxidation of spiro-δ-lactols by PCC in good to excellent overall yields and moderate to good diastereomeric ratio (up to ?5:1 dr). Moreover, a synthetically useful intermediate trans–cis-β-amino-α-azido compound has been successfully achieved through our procedure. 相似文献

An alternative strategy for Pictet-Spengler reaction involving an N-1 linked aromatic amine of imidazole and aldehydes is described. This is in contrast to a typical Pictet-Spengler reaction, which involves an aliphatic amine attached to the carbon of an activated aromatic nucleus and an aldehyde. Our strategy commences with the nucleophilic replacement of fluorine in resin-bound o-fluoro-nitrobenzoic acid with mono- or disubstituted imidazole, followed by reduction of the nitro group to give an N1 linked aromatic amine of the resin-bound imidazole. This was subsequently treated with an aldehyde in toluene at 80 degrees C and then oxidized in the presence of DDQ to give resin-bound imidazoquinoxalines. Four new homochiral metal-organic framework (MOF) isomers, [Zn(l-L(Cl))(Cl)](H(2)O)(2) (1), [Zn(l-L(Br))(Br)](H(2)O)(2) (2), [Zn(d-L(Cl))(Cl)](H(2)O)(2) (3), and [Zn(d-L(Br))(Br)](H(2)O)(2) (4) [L = 3-methyl-2-(pyridin-4-ylmethylamino)butanoic acid], have been synthesized by using a derivative of L-/D-valine and Zn(CH(3)COO)(2)·2H(2)O. A three-periodic lattice with a parallel 1D helical channel was formed along the crystallographic c-axis. Molecular rearrangement results in an unprecedented zeolitic unh-topology in 1-4. In each case, two lattice water molecules (one H-bonded to halogen atoms) form a secondary helical continuous water chain inside the molecular helix. MOFs 1 and 2 shows different water adsorption properties and hence different water affinity. The arrangement of water molecules inside the channel was monitored by variable-temperature single-crystal X-ray diffraction, which indicated that MOF 1 has a higher water holding capacity than MOF 2. In MOF 1, water escapes at 80 °C, while in 2 the same happens at a much lower temperature (~40 °C). All the MOFs reported here shows reversible crystallization by readily reabsorbing moisture. In MOFs 1 and 2, the frameworks are stable after solvent removal, which is confirmed by a single-crystal to single-crystal transformation. MOFs 1 and 3 show high proton conductivity of 4.45 × 10(-5) and 4.42 × 10(-5) S cm(-1), respectively, while 2 and 4 shows zero proton conductivity. The objective of the present work was to examine the development of crystalline orientation and texture in the polypropylene matrix of talc‐filled i‐PP and in unfilled i‐PP with increasing draw ratio during solid‐phase die‐drawing at high strain rates (~1 s?1) and a die temperature of 145 °C. After drawing, the entire billet was cooled rapidly “under tension” to room temperature before releasing the billet and cutting specimens from different axial locations for analysis. Orientation distributions of the three crystal axes for increasing axial strains have been presented as pole figures in the MD‐TD plane with the direction of draw (MD) as the reference direction. While disruption of spherulites was noticed within the die for neat PP at a draw ratio of 1.5, transcrystalline domains within the composite persisted even at a draw ratio of 3.5 in the free draw region outside the die. The transformation to fibrillar crystal morphology was complete in both materials at a draw ratio of 4.5 but the texture continued to develop beyond this stage. While the (110)[001] texture component was found to be dominant at all draw ratios for neat PP, the (010)[001] texture component was dominant at the higher draw ratios in the drawn composite. This may be attributed to the (010)[001] slip system being more active as the transverse spacing between elongated voids encasing the particles was decreased. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. 4‐(1‐Imidazolium) butane sulfonate is an excellent catalyst for the synthesis of 2,4,5‐trisubstituted and 1,2,4,5‐tetrasubstituted imidazoles through the condensation of 1,2‐dicarbonyl compounds, aldehydes, and ammonium acetate or amine via multicomponent condensation strategy under solvent‐free conditions. Chiral unsymmetrical dimeric liquid crystals consisting of a cholesterol moiety as chiral entity and a substituted salicylidene imine core (with the substituent being butyl or fluoro or chloro group) interconnected through an even methylene spacer have been synthesised and their mesomorphic properties are characterised. All the dimers exhibit enantiotropic mesophases. The butyl homologue exhibited N* phase only, the fluoro- and chloro-substituted compound exhibited frustrated blue phases (BPs), N* phase and SmC* or twisted grain boundary (TGB) phases. The occurrence of a fluid frustrated phase, the BP, in particular, observed in compounds with a polar moiety and bent optimised conformation by density functional theory (DFT) study, indicates the importance of polar structures and bent shape of the compounds. Theoretical calculation was performed in order to study the optimised conformation, polarity and electron density distribution of the synthesised cholesterol derivatives using DFT. Time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculation also had been carried out to investigate the absorption spectra and HOMO–LUMO energies.
