Chlorophyll b was extracted from Heliotropium europaeum plant, then immobilized on magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2@Chl-Mg) and found as an efficient and green catalyst for the preparation of a variety of benzimidazoles and spirooxindoles in mild conditions. The catalyst was fully characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), thermogravimetric (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analyses. To prove the catalytic influence of Mg over the reactions, the catalytic activity of the demetalated chlorophyll b as well as some other control experiments was investigated. High to excellent yields were achieved for all entries, whether benzimidazole or spirooxindole derivatives at short reaction times. The catalyst could be recovered and reused for several consecutive runs by a simple external magnetic field without any considerable reactivity loss. The properties of the recovered catalyst were investigated by various analyses. Finally, the reasonable mechanisms were proposed for the reactions based on the literature. 相似文献

Cu(II) Schiff base complex supported on Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles was employed as a magnetic nanocatalyst (nanocomposite) with a phase transfer functionality for the one-pot preparation of α-aminonitriles (Strecker reaction). The desired α-aminonitriles were obtained from the reaction of aromatic or aliphatic aldehydes, aniline or benzyl amine, NaCN, and 1.6 mol% of the catalyst in water at room temperature and good to excellent yields were obtained for all substrates. The catalyst was characterized analytically and instrumentally including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric, nuclear magnetic resonance, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy, vibrating-sample magnetometry analysis, dynamic light scattering, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy analyses. The reaction mechanism was investigated, in which the performance of the catalyst as a phase transition factor seems to be probable. The catalyst showed high activity, high turnover frequency (TOF)s, significant selectivity, and fast performance toward the Strecker synthesis. The nanocatalyst can be readily and quickly separated from the reaction mixture with an external magnet and can be reused for at least seven successive reaction cycles without significant reduction in efficiency. 相似文献

The preparation of bimetallic Pd/Pt nanofoam for use in fiber based solid-phase microextraction (SPME) is described. First, a highly porous copper foam was prepared on the surface of an unbreakable copper wire by an electrochemical method. Then, the substrate was covered with metallic Pd and Pt using galvanic replacement of the Cu nanofoam substrate by applying a mixture of Pd(II) and Pt(IV) ions. The procedure provided an efficient route to modify Pd/Pt nanofoams with large specific surface and low loading with expensive noble metals. The fiber was applied to headspace SPME of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX) (as the model compounds) in various spiked water and wastewater samples. It was followed by gas chromatography-flame ionization detection (GC-FID). A Plackett-Burman design was performed for screening the experimental factors prior to Box-Behnken design. Compared with the commercial PDMS SPME fiber (100 μm), it had higher extraction efficiency for BTEX. Under the optimum conditions, the method has low limits of detection (0.16–0.35 μg L?1), a wide linear range (1–200 μg L?1), relative standard deviations between 5.8 and 10.5%, and good recoveries (>85% from spiked samples). 相似文献

In this work, we report the synthesis of porous activated carbon (AC). AC was derived from rotten carrot, at different values of activating temperature under inert atmosphere, employing chemical activation method and ZnCl2 as activation agent. On the basis of results observed by surface area and pore size analysis, effect of activation temperature on synthesized AC was determined. Other material properties such as morphology, thermal stability, vibrational response, and crystal structure of prepared AC were studied using standard techniques of material characterization. Further, the electrochemical performance of synthesized AC was studied as an electrode, in aqueous, organic and ionic liquid based electrolyte. It was found that the synthesized AC based electrode exhibits highest specific capacitance (135.5?F?g?1 at 10?mHz) in aqueous electrolyte and highest specific energy (29.1?Wh?kg?1 at 2.2?A?g?1) and specific power (142.5?kW?kg?1 at 2.2?A?g?1) in ionic liquid based electrolyte.
