The sol-gel process is a useful method for preparing two series of organically and co-ordinately modified xerogels of the types [CuNn]·N5–n·5xSiO4/2 (n < 4) and [Cu(N–N)n]·(N–N)2–n·2x SiO4/2(n 2), where N = NH2(CH2)3 SiO3/2, N–N = NH2(CH2)2NH·(CH2)3SiO3/2 and x = [SiO4/2]/[N] or [SiO4/2]/[N–N]. The amino groups in the materials are coordinately active and participate partly in the coordination sphere of Cu(II) ions. The composition of the coordination sphere can be varied with the SiO4/2 content and also as a result of the thermal decomposition of the organic residues at higher temperatures.Because the xerogel materials are considered to be catalyst precursors, this study is focused on their coordination and thermal properties. The prepared xerogels, such as silica, aminated silicates with N and N–N, as well as those entities complexed with Cu(II), were characterised by FT-IR spectroscopy. During gelation and thermal decomposition the materials were analysed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The xerogels were additionally studied by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The gaseous products of the thermal decomposition of these materials in an Ar atmosphere were investigated by the use of FT-IR spectroscopy coupled with TG and DTG thermal analysis. The oxidation of Ni100–xPx(7.3 at%<x<25.0 at%) powders in air in the temperature range 350–450°C was determined by kinetics and X-ray diffraction. The isothermal
kinetics was modeled using theGinstling–Brounstein equations. The oxidation process was found to be thermally activated with
activation energy 127.8 kJ mol–1 for x=7.3 at% to 157.7 kJ mol–1 for x=25.0 at%. It was found that the rate constants for x=7.3 at% were approximately 100 times lower than those for x=25.0 at%.

In the present study experimentally determined ligand selectivity of three methylated buspirone analogues (denoted as MM2, MM5 and P55) towards 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A serotonin receptors was theoretically investigated on a molecular level. The relationships between the ligand structure and 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptor affinities were studied and the results were found to be in agreement with the available site-directed mutagenesis and binding affinity data. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of ligand-receptor complexes were performed for each investigated analogue, docked twice into the central cavity of 5-HT1A/5-HT2A, each time in a different orientation. Present results were compared with our previous theoretical results, obtained for buspirone and its non-methylated analogues. It was found that due to the presence of the methyl group in the piperazine ring the ligand position alters and the structure of the ligand-receptor complex is modified. Further, the positions of derivatives with pyrimidinyl aromatic moiety and quinolinyl moiety are significantly different at the 5-HT2A receptor. Thus, methylation of such derivatives alters the 3D structures of ligand-receptor complexes in different ways. The ligand-induced changes of the receptor structures were also analysed. The obtained results suggest, that helical domains of both receptors have different dynamical behaviour. Moreover, both location and topography of putative binding sites for buspirone analogues are different at 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptors. 相似文献
Silver nanoparticles were synthesized using clove extract (CE). Scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) revealed the morphology of the metallic Ag nanoparticles obtained via the clove extract synthesis (Ag NPs‐CE), which had a uniform distribution and average sizes varying from 10 nm to 100 nm. Fourier transform infra‐red (FTIR) spectroscopy showed that clove eugenol acts as a capping and reducing agent being adsorbed on the surface of Ag NPs‐CE, enabling their reduction from Ag+ and preventing their agglomeration. Formation of the Ag0 structure is also confirmed in the FTIR spectrum by the presence in the Ag NPs‐CE sample of the –C=O and –C=C vibrations at wavenumbers 1600 and 2915 cm‐1, respectively. Antibacterial and antifungal tests using three strains of bacteria and one fungi strain showed that the Ag NPs‐CE performed better compared to pure clove extract (CE) sample. 相似文献
Recently, dozens of new psychoactive substances have appeared on the European drug market every year. The most abundant group of these compounds is synthetic cannabinoids. In the first few years of the “legal highs” phenomenon, JWH (John W. Huffman) compounds were especially popular among drug users. However, the group of synthetic cannabinoids is constantly expanding, as new compounds are created by replacing known structural elements with different chemical groups. The problem with the identification of novel substances in forensic laboratories results from the structural similarity of the compounds and the rapid introduction of newer designer drugs on the black market. In this study, the fragmentation patterns of 29 new-type synthetic cannabinoids using electrospray ionization were investigated. The analysis was performed using quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Based on measurements carried out under various conditions, the way of fragmentation of the tested compounds that were divided into groups due to their chemical structure was established. The study showed that the bond between the carbon atom of the carbonyl group and the ring or NH group attached to the ring was mainly cleaved. This mechanism was adequate for the fragmentation of first-generation synthetic cannabinoids. This paper presents characteristic ions formed by synthetic cannabinoids (i.e., ions originating from an indole/indazole ring and an adamanyl/naphthalene/quinoline ring) using electrospray ionization. Knowledge of these specific fragments can be used in forensic laboratories to determine the structure of novel compounds from the group of synthetic cannabinoids.
The Quantitative Property-Retention Relation (QPRR) approach was applied to analyze the correlations between the retention parameters of ampholytic, biologically active substances and their physicochemical (predicted/spectral) characteristics. The retention parameters were obtained for polar and semipolar HPLC columns at various compositions of mobile phases and pH conditions. These values are a unique collection of chromatographic parameters that are a measure of lipophilicity and, consequently, can be very helpful in assessing pharmacological potency of the compounds investigated. Three QPRR models that meet the predictive capability criteria were developed. The relationships can be used to gain pharmacologically interesting information on the biologically active ampholytic substances.

A series of flame-retardant ethylene–vinyl acetate (EVA) composites with different contents of aluminum phosphate (AHP) and Trimer were prepared. The synergistic flame-retardant effects of the Trimer with AHP in EVA/AHP blends were studied by limiting oxygen index (LOI) tests, UL-94 tests, cone calorimeter tests, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The LOI and UL-94 results showed that the system containing AHP and Trimer was very effective in improving the flame retardancy of EVA. When the mass ratio of AHP and Trimer was 3:1, the highest flame retardancy could be obtained, and when the flame-retardant loading was 30 wt%, the EVA/AHP/Trimer (7.5%) sample could achieve the V-0 rating in UL-94 tests, at the same time, its LOI value was 24.4%. The TG and DTG results showed that the addition of flame retardants catalyzes EVA decomposition in the first stage and generates a more stable char residue in the second stage. Consequently, an efficient reduction in the flammability parameters, such as heat release rate, total heat release, smoke production rate, and total smoke production could be observed. In addition, it was observed from the SEM observations of the morphological features that the AHP and Trimer combination, at the optimum proportion, could promote the formation of compact charred layers and prevent their cracking, which effectively protected the underlying materials from burning. 相似文献
The paper presents results of an experimental study of the fluid velocity field in a stirred tank equipped with a Prochem Maxflo T (PMT) type impeller which was rotating at a constant frequency of N = 4.1 or 8.2 s?1 inducing transitional (Re = 499 or 1307) or turbulent (Re = 2.43 × 104) flow of the fluid. The experiments were performed for a Newtonian fluid (water) and a non-Newtonian fluid (0.2 wt% aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose, CMC) exhibiting mild viscoelastic properties. Measurements were carried out using laser light scattering on tracer particles which follow the flow (2-D PIV). For both the water and the CMC solution one primary and two secondary circulation loops were observed within the fluid volume; however, the secondary loops were characterized by much lower intensity. The applied PMT-type impeller produced in the Newtonian fluid an axial primary flow, whilst in the non-Newtonian fluid the flow was more radial. The results obtained in the form of the local mean velocity components were in satisfactory agreement with the literature data from LDA. Distribution of the shear rate in the studied system was also analyzed. For the non-Newtonian fluid an area was computed where the elastic force dominates over the viscous one. The area was nearly matching the region occupied by the primary circulation loop. 相似文献
It has been experimentally proven that germinated plant seeds, such as leek, red clover, broccoli, and others contain proteases, which are able to digest animal protein such as gelatin, bovine albumin, casein, and egg albumin. Preliminary tests were carried out with the use of a semi-qualitative gelatin test, which is often applied to prove the presence of fruit enzymes. Quantitative examinations were carried out with the use of a ninhydrin reaction for amino acid determination as well as the Bradford and Smith methods for protein determination. Respective calibration curves were obtained for glycine (amino acid analysis) as well as for egg albumin, bovine albumin, and gelatin (protein analysis), with a full statistical evaluation including Mandel and Lack-of-Fit tests to check for linearity.
