Consideration is given to the interaction of twin tandem jets with an oncoming uniform crossflow. A variable temperature is assumed for the emitted jets while the crossflow is maintained constant, equivalent to the ambient temperature. Both jet nozzles are elliptic, as initially inclined with an angle of 60°, placed three diameters apart in line with the crossflow and discharge a nonreactive fume. The handled configuration is numerically simulated in the present work, by means of the finite volume method together with a non uniform grid system. The model is first validated with reference to available experimental data, in the simple isothermal case of air jets in air crossflow. It is then upgraded by considering a nonreactive fume discharged at a variable temperature. The upgraded model turbulence is described by means of the Reynolds Stress Model second order turbulent closure model. The present work is to our knowledge pioneering in the introduction of this particular model is such a configuration and its introduction proved to be highly valuable since is described satisfyingly the turbulent behavior of the resulting flowfield. This behavior is, precisely, specified in terms of shear stress components whose evolutions, explored along the different directions of the domain, showed a more pronounced vertical mixing, and gave rise to more significant vortices in most characterizing zones: near the injection plane as well as within the discharging nozzles. 相似文献

Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is one of the emergent nano-technologies and a potential substitute for transistor based technologies. In this research, an efficient QCA based T, SR and JK flip-flops have been proposed. The proposed gates are implemented with multiplexer, three-input Majority gate and XOR gate. The circuit layouts are designed and verified using QCADesigner version 2.0.3. The simulation result reviles the excellence of the proposed design. The proposed T flip-flop archives 35% improvement in terms cell count. Similarly, the reported RS and JK flip-flop requires 43% and 50% less area respectively in comparison to the previous best single layer design. In addition, QCAPro tool has been used to estimate the power dissipation of all considered designs at different tunneling energy level. 相似文献

In this work, we present results for Cerium (Ce) doping effects on photoluminescence (PL) properties of porous silicon (PS). Cerium was deposited using electrochemical deposition on porous silicon prepared by electrochemical anodization of P-type (100) Si. From the photoluminescence spectroscopy, it was shown that porous silicon treated with cerium can lead to an increase of photoluminescence when they are irradiated by light compared to the porous silicon layer without cerium. In order to understand the contribution of cerium to the enhanced photoluminescence, energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were performed, and it was shown that the improved photoluminescence may be attributed to the change of Si–H bonds into Si–O–Ce bonds and to a newly formed PS layer during electrochemical Ce coating. 相似文献

This paper describes the decolorization and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal of olive mill waste-waters (OMW) byPhanerochaete chrysosporium grown in agitated submerged cultures. WhenP. chrysosporium was cultivated in the form of pellet, no decolorization of crude OMW was observed. Decolorization occured only after removing by ultrafiltration, the high-mol-wt (HM) polyphenolic fraction (> 60 kDa). The use of high lignin peroxidase (LiP) producing medium yielded the highest levels of OMW decolorization and COD removal. In this case, extensive depolymerization and subsequent accumulation of phenolics with intermediates molecular weight were observed. Furthermore, increasing the concentration of the HM fraction decreased the color and COD removals. The decolorizing activity was lost when the concentration of the HM fraction reached 25% (v/v). Consequently, LiP activity was found to be completely inhibited in the presence of HM fraction, but not with the low-mol-wt (LM) polyphenolic fraction (<8 kDa). The use ofP. chrysosporium immobilized on polyurethane foam resulted in efficient decolorization of crude OMW. Moreover, the addition of an induction medium was shown to perform several repeated batch cultures for OMW decolorization and COD removal. 相似文献
