Various aldehydes and ketones were efficiently transformed into the corresponding amines using amine derivatives in the presence of triethylsilane and a catalytic amount of palladium on activated carbon in ethanol. One-pot condensation/oxidation of aldehydes and primary anilines into nitrones using graphite oxide (GO) and Oxone as the oxidant under very mild reaction conditions is described. The versatility of the palladium(II) chloride and triethylsilane system has been tested in the reduction of aromatic carbonyl compounds. The reaction takes place under mild conditions. Ultrathin titanium layers when deposited on the surface of gold can be successfully applied for infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRRAS) investigations. It was shown that the reflectivity, the phase shift, and the mean square electric field of the p- and s-polarized IR radiation in up to 20 nm thick titanium layers covered with a 3-4 nm thick layer of native oxide are comparable to those of the air/gold interface. The surface selection rule is fulfilled. Thus, qualitative and quantitative analysis of 1,2-dimyristoyl- sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC) bilayers transferred in liquid expanded (LE) and liquid condensed (LC) states can be performed. Differences are found in the hydration state and molecular arrangement of the two investigated bilayers. In the DMPC bilayer in the LE state, the C-N bond in the positively charged choline moiety is inclined by approximately 70 degrees toward the surface of the negatively charged titanium substrate. In the phosphate moiety, the in-plane vector of the O-P-O group makes a small angle of approximately 15 degrees to the surface normal. This open structure of the lipid molecule corresponds to the B crystal structure of the DMPC molecule and provides space for strong hydration of the polar headgroup. In the DMPC bilayer in the LC state, the intermolecular distances are reduced; the C-N bond of the choline group makes a smaller angle to the surface normal, and the in-plane vector of the O-P-O group in the phosphate moiety displays a larger tilt. The degree of hydration is reduced. The arrangement of the polar headgroup region corresponds to the A crystal structure of the DMPC molecule.  相似文献

Polarization modulation infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (PM IRRAS) was successfully used for the first time to characterize an optically transparent thin oxide film. SiO2 layers of 7 nm thickness were synthesized by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) on 200 nm thick gold covered glass slides. Despite the fact that silica is transparent and absorptive to IR radiation when deposited in the form of thin films on a gold surface, it preserves the high metallic reflectivity for the IR light. At grazing angles of incidence of the IR beam, the enhancement of the normal component of the electric field at the interface is comparable to that of Au alone. In addition, the analysis of the structure of a 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC) lipid monolayer deposited using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique is demonstrated.  相似文献

The paper reports on the preparation of superhydrophobic amorphous silicon oxide nanowires (a-SiONWs) on silicon substrates with a contact angle greater than 150 degrees by means of surface roughness and self-assembly. Nanowires with an average mean diameter in the range 20-150 nm and 15-20 microm in length were obtained by the so-called solid-liquid-solid (SLS) technique. The porous nature and the high roughness of the resulting surfaces were confirmed by AFM imaging. The superhydrophobicity resulted from the combined effects of surface roughness and chemical modification with fluorodecyl trichlorosilane.  相似文献

We report local density functional calculations using the full potential linear muffin-tin orbital (FP-LMTO) method for binary platinum nitride (PtN), in five different crystal structures, the rock salt (B1), zinc-blende (B3), wurtzite (B4), nickel arsenide (B8), and PbS (B10) phases. The ground state properties such as the equilibrium lattice constant, elastic constants, the bulk modulus and its pressure derivative of PtN in these phases are determined and compared with the other available experimental and theoretical works.Our calculations confirm in the B3 structure that PtN is found to be mechanically stable with a large bulk modulus B=232.45 GPa and at a sufficiently high pressure the B81 structure would be favoured.The theoretical transition pressure from zinc blende (B3) to NiAs (B81), zinc-blende (B3) to rock-salt (B1) and zinc-blende (B3) to PbO (B10) is determined to be 9.10 GPa, 9.85 GPa and 69.35 GPa, respectively. Our calculation shows also in five different structures for PtN a high bulk modulus is a good indicator of a hard material.  相似文献

We report here on the fabrication and characterization of stable thin films of amorphous silica (SiO(x)) deposited on glass slides coated with a 5 nm adhesion layer of titanium and 50 nm of gold, using the plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique. The resulting surfaces were characterized using atomic force microscopy (AFM), ellipsometry, contact angle measurements, and surface plasmon resonance (SPR). AFM analysis indicates that homogeneous films of silica with low roughness were formed on the gold surface. The deposited silica films showed excellent stability in different solvents and in piranha solution. There was no significant variation in the thickness or in the SPR signal after these harsh treatments. The Au/SiO(x) interfaces were investigated for their potential applications as new surface plasmon resonance sensor chips. Silica films with thicknesses up to 40 nm allowed visualization of the surface plasmon effect, while thicker films resulted in the loss of the SPR characteristics. SPR allowed further the determination of the silica thickness and was compared to ellipsometric results. Chemical treatment of the SiO(x) film with piranha solution led to the generation of silanol surface groups that have been coupled with a trichlorosilane.  相似文献

This work demonstrates that well-defined mixed carboxyl-terminated/methyl-terminated alkyl monolayers can be prepared in one step on H-terminated Si(111) via direct photochemical hydrosilylation of undecylenic acid and 1-decene mixtures. As evidenced by AFM imaging and IR spectroscopy, a final rinse in hot acetic acid leaves the functionalized surface atomically smooth and perfectly free of physisorbed contaminants while unwanted material remains atop the monolayer with most other common solvents. The compositional surface chemistry was determined from a truly quantitative IR (ATR geometry) study in the range of 900-4000 cm(-)(1). Results prove that neither surface oxidation nor grafting through the carboxyl end groups occurs. Monolayers are fairly dense for such bulky end groups, with a total molecular surface density of approximately 2.7 10(14) cm(-)(2) corresponding to a surface coverage of 0.35 (maximum theoretical value approximately 0.5). Careful analysis of the CH- and COOH-related IR bands reveals that the composition of the grafted layers is richer in acid chains than the starting grafting mixture. A simple model is presented that shows that the grafting kinetics is about twice as fast for undecylenic acid as for 1-decene. Complementary electrochemical impedance measurements indicate the excellent electronic properties of the interface with a very low density of gap states. They also show that the acid terminal groups promote the penetration of water in the outer part of the organic film.  相似文献
