We report experimentally determined oscillator strength distribution in the bound region of lead corresponding to the 6p7s (1/2, 1/2)1  6pnp (1/2, 3/2)2 (20  n  52) Rydberg transitions. The absolute value of the photoionization cross section from the 6p7s (1/2, 1/2)1 excited state at the first ionization threshold 6p (2P1/2) has been determined as 27 ± 4 Mb using the saturation absorption technique. The threshold value of the photoionization cross section is used to calibrate the oscillator strengths of the above mentioned Rydberg transitions. Moreover, oscillator strengths in the bound region smoothly connect with the differential oscillator strength density at the first ionization threshold, and verify the fundamental condition of quantum defect theory.  相似文献

A simple and rapid cloud point extraction method was applied for preconcentration of trace quantities of zinc (Zn) and iron (Fe) in biological samples (serum and urine) of thyroid patients prior to determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The metals in serum and urine samples were complexed with 1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol and entrapped in the surfactant octylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol (Triton X-114). After centrifugation, the surfactant-rich phase was diluted with 0.1 M HNO3 in methanol. For optimum recovery of analytes, the influences of the analytical parameters, including pH and amounts of complexing and surfactant reagents, were investigated. Enrichment factors of 66.4 and 70.2 were obtained for the preconcentration of Zn(II) and Fe(III), respectively. The obtained results showed sufficient recoveries (>98%) for Zn(II) and Fe(III) in certified reference materials (CRMs). The proposed method was applied to the determination of Zn(II) and Fe(III) in biological (serum and urine) samples and CRMs.  相似文献

We present the optical emission characteristics of the zinc oxide (ZnO) plasma produced by the first (1,064 nm) and second (532 nm) harmonics of a Q switched Nd: YAG laser. The target material was placed in front of laser beam in air (at atmospheric pressure).The experimentally observed line profiles of neutral zinc (Zn I) have been used to extract the electron temperature using the Boltzmann plot method, whereas, the electron number density has been determined from the Stark broadening. The electron temperature is calculated by varying distance from the target surface along the line of propagation of plasma plume and also by varying the laser irradiance. Beside we have studied the variation of number density as a function of laser irradiance as well as its variation with distance from the target surface. It is observed that electron temperature and electron number density increases as laser energy is increased.  相似文献

This study evaluated and interpreted complex data sets of water samples collected from different sampling origins of ground water (hand pump and tube well) and surface water (municipal, river and canal). The aim was to provide information concerning the apportionment of pollution sources to obtain better information about water quality and possible distribution of As with respect to its speciation. The As (III) formed complex with ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) and extracted by surfactant-rich phases in the non-ionic surfactant Triton X-114, while total iAs in water samples was adsorbed on titanium dioxide (TiO2) and determined by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The accuracy of the proposed methodologies was confirmed by standard addition method. The recoveries of As (III) and total inorganic arsenic (iAs) were found to be >98%. The results revealed that the ground water of the area under study was more contaminated as compared to surface water samples. The mean concentration of As (III) and As (V) in the surface water samples was found to be 15.8 and 6.00?µg?L?1, respectively, whereas, in the case of ground water samples, the contents of As (III) and As (V) ranged from 6.20 to 51.0 and 6.40 to 53.0?µg?L?1, respectively. Principal component analysis performed on a combined (tube well and hand pump) samples data set extracted two significant factors explaining more than 60% of total variance, which suggested that the contamination sources might be natural or anthropogenic.  相似文献

Finite deformation anisotropic responses of AA5182-O, over a wide range of strain-rates (10−4 to 100 s−1) and temperatures (293-473 K) are presented. The plastic anisotropy parameters were experimentally determined from tensile experiments using specimens from sheet material. Using the experimental results under plane stress conditions, the anisotropy coefficients for Barlat’s yield function (YLD96) were calculated at different strain-rates and temperatures. The correlations obtained from YLD96 are in good agreement with the observed experimental results. The strain-rate sensitivity of AA5182-O alloy changed from negative at 293 K to positive at 473 K. Khan-Huang-Liang (KHL) constitutive model is shown to correlate the observed strain-rate and temperature dependent responses reasonably well. The material parameters were obtained from the experimental responses along the rolling direction (RD) of the sheet. Marciniak and Kuckzinsky (M-K) theory was used to obtain the theoretical strain and stress-based forming limit curves (FLCs) at different strain-rates and temperatures. The experimental result from the published literature is compared with the FLCs from the current study.  相似文献

In the present work, we present the spatial evolution of the copper plasma produced by the fundamental harmonic (1064 nm) and second harmonic (532 nm) of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The experimentally observed line profiles of neutral copper have been used to extract the electron temperature using the Boltzmann plot method, whereas, the electron number density has been determined from the Stark broadening. Besides we have studied the variation of electron temperature and electron number density as a function of laser energy at atmospheric pressure. The Cu I lines at 333.78, 406.26, 465.11 and 515.32 nm are used for the determination of electron temperature. The relative uncertainty in the determination of electron temperature is ≈10%. The electron temperature calculated for the fundamental harmonic (1064 nm) of Nd:YAG laser is 10500–15600 K, and that for the second harmonic (532 nm) of Nd:YAG laser is 11500–14700 K at a Q Switch delay of 40 μs. The electron temperature has also been calculated as a function of laser energy from the target surface for both modes of the laser. We have also studied the spatial behavior of the electron number density in the plume. The electron number densities close to the target surface (0.05 mm), in the case of fundamental harmonic (1064 nm) of Nd:YAG laser having pulse energy 135 mJ and second harmonic (532 nm) of Nd:YAG laser with pulse energy 80 mJ are 2.50×1016 and 2.60×1016 cm−3, respectively.  相似文献
