Di-bariummagnesium silicate phosphors doped with europiumand dysprosium were prepared under a weak reducing atmosphere. X-ray diffraction pattern of the sample was also done that confirmed the proper preparation of the phosphor. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images confirmed that the sample has regular surface and uniform grain size distribution. Comparative studies of phosphorescence decay of Ba2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors with different concentration of Dy3+ were done. The phosphor with 0.5/1.5 mol% of Eu/Dy, exhibited optimum green color afterglow properties. This emission is expected to arise due to transition of Eu2+ ions from any of the sublevels of 4f65d1 configuration to 8S7/2 level of the 4f7 configuration. For a suitable trap depth, the trap concentration is expected to be proportional to the concentration of Dy3+. These traps are responsible for holding the charge career for a reasonable time, subsequently for increasing the time of afterglow. Hence, optimum Dy3+ concentration produces the longer afterglow duration with higher intensity of luminescence signals. Trap depth were also calculated using thermoluminescence glow curve which was indicative of formation of traps suitable for long afterglow.  相似文献

This paper reports the synthesis of ZnS:Mn nanocrystals by the chemical route in which mercaptoethanol was used as the capping agent. The particle size of such nanocrystals was measured using XRD and TEM patterns and was found to be in between 3and 5 nm. It was found that the peak position of TL glow curve and the TL intensity of ZnS:Mn nanoparticles increases as the particle size is decreased. The isothermal decay technique is used to determine the trap-depth. The stability of the charge carriers in the traps increase with the decrease in size of the nanoparticles. The higher stability may be attributed to the higher surface/volume ratio and also to the increase in the trap-depth with decreasing particle size. When a ZnS:Mn nanocrystal is deformed the peak intensity Im increases linearly with the increasing height of the load. After Im, initially the ML intensity decreases at a fast rate, and later on it decreases at a slow rate. The ML in ZnS:Mn nanocrystals can be understood on the basis of the piezoelectrically induced electron detrapping model.  相似文献

Thin films of BixCo2−xMnO4 (x=0, 0.1 and 0.3) were grown on quartz, LaAlO3 (LAO) and YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) buffer layer coated LAO substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman scattering measurements showed that the thin films exhibit single phase polycrystalline cubic spinel structure on all the substrates. Near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) studies confirmed the octahedral occupancy of the substituted Bi3+ ions. Temperature dependent zero-field cooled (ZFC) magnetization measurements show the ferrimagnetic (FM) behavior (TC∼186 K) and magnetization undergoes a crossover from positive to negative, owing to the opposite contributions of magnetic moments from Co and Mn ions. A weak ferroelectric property exhibited by the films above room temperature was evidenced through the capacitance-voltage (C-V) and dielectric measurements. Magnetoelectric coupling was found to be maximum just below FM-TC.  相似文献

In this study, we explore the possibility that fused polynitrodiazoles act as high energy density materials. Density functional theory calculations at the B3LYP/aug‐cc‐pVDZ level were performed to predict the structure, energy of explosion (≈1.68 kcal g?1), density (≈1.98 g cm?3), detonation velocity (≈9.50 km s?1), and detonation pressure (≈41.50 GPa) of model molecules. The predicted properties have been found to be promising compared with 3,4,5‐trinitro‐1H‐pyrazole, 1,3,5‐trinitro‐1,3,5‐triazinane, and octahydro‐1,3,5,7‐tetranitro‐l,3,5,7‐tetraazocane. A series of a new class of phosphorus analogue macrocycles was accomplished by condensation of N‐substituted‐[bis(3,5‐dimethyl‐2‐hydroxybenzyl)]‐amines with various phosphorus dichlorides in dry toluene in the presence of triethylamine at 0–50°C. All the title compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial activity to determine their efficacy and were effective in suppressing the growth of bacteria and fungi. A facile one-pot synthesis of 3,5-diarylisoxazoles from α,β-unsaturated ketones and hydroxylamine hydrochloride is reported. The reaction is efficiently promoted by catalytic CuBr2 and Oxone to afford the desired products mostly in high yields and in relatively short time. The mild nature of the synthesis and short reaction time are notable advantages of the developed protocol. This protocol is effective toward various substrates having different functionalities.  相似文献

Polycrystalline bulk ferromagnetic insulating (FMI) Ln0.85Ca0.15MnO3 (Ln=Nd, Pr and Sm) samples are prepared by standard solid-state reaction route and characterized. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) data of the manganites show single-phase character. Existing theoretical models predict that the high temperature (T>θD/2, θD being the Debye temperature) dc conductivity (σdc) of these samples is due to adiabatic small polaron-hopping conduction. Greaves’ and Mott's variable range hopping (VRH) conduction mechanisms are not suitable to explain the σdc data at low temperature (T<θD/2).  相似文献
