Summary A rapid, robust and reproducible method providing excellent separation performance and simplicity using a 0.5% MC-4000 methyl cellulosic sieving medium in DB-1 coated capillaries has been developed. The method is suitable for qualitative comparison of DNA restriction profiles for fragments in the size range 100–1000 base pairs (bp). Efficiencies up to 8.5 million plates/m (1057 bp fragment) were recorded. Peak resolution of 6 bp (291/297 bp, 335/341 bp) and 4 bp (238/242 bp, 341/345 bp) was achieved. In addition, 1 bp partial resolution of 123/124 bp and 298/297 bp was obtained. Run-to-run (n=15), day-to-day (n=4), and capillary-to-capillary (n=3) variations of 0.1–0.2% RSD, 0.3–0.5% RSD, and 0.1–0.3% RSD, respectively, were observed. The MC-4000 sieving matrix was found to be better than hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose, in terms of both performance and stability in the DB-1 coated capillaries. The efficiency and resolution in DB-WAX capillaries were inferior to those obtained in DB-1 capillaries. The commercially available DB-1 capillaries were stable for months in the sieving medium at pH 8.3 and could be regenerated to provide high efficiency after accidental current breaks.  相似文献

An effective means of detecting airborne radioactive aerosol plumes has been developed and tested on aircraft platforms. The Real-Time Airborne Radiation Analysis and Collection (RTARAC) system was mounted in the wing pod of a Navy P-3 where it sampled 20 cubic meters of air per minute on each of eleven sequentially advanced filters. A 140% intrinsic gemanium detector counted radioactive particles collected on the 15 cm circular filters in real-time. Gamma-energy spectrum and near real-time analysis of the sample were displayed on a laptop computer.  相似文献

High resolution Fourier transform spectra of deuterated hydrogen sulfide have been recorded in the region 2400-3000 cm−1. Rotational structures of the ν1 + ν2, ν2 + ν3 bands of D232S, of the ν3 and ν1 + ν2 bands of HD32S, and of the ν1 + ν2 band of HD34S were analyzed. Band centers and rotational, centrifugal distortion, and resonance parameters were obtained, which reproduce the initial values of the upper energy levels within a mean accuracy of 1.39 × 10−4 cm−1 for the states (110) and (011) of D232S, 1.61 × 10−4 cm−1 and 1.82 × 10−4 cm−1 for the states (001) and (110) of HD32S, and 2.09 × 10−4 cm−1 for the state (110) of HD34S, respectively.  相似文献

Summary Benzoylacetone isonicotinoyl hydrazone has been prepared in two forms: yellow (BzH2) and white (BzH2·H2O). Analytical, t.g.a., i.r. and n.m.r. results showed the yellow form to be a mixture of keto-enol tautomers, whereas the white form is a mixture of cis-trans enol tautomers. Complexes MBz (M = Ni, Cu, Zn and Pd), CoBz·H2O and Cd(BzH)2 have been isolated and characterized by physicochemical techniques.  相似文献

Experimental studies of a plasma-filled X-band backward-wave oscillator (BWO) are presented. Depending on the background gas pressure, microwave frequency upshifts of up to 1 GHz appeared along with an enhancement by a factor of 7 in the total microwave power emission. The bandwidth of the microwave emission increased from ⩽0.5 GHz to 2 GHz when the BWO was working at the RF power enhancement pressure region. The RF power enhancement appeared over a much wider pressure range in a high beam current case (10-100 mT for 3 kA) than in a lower beam case (80-115 mT for 1.6 kA). The plasma-filled BWO has higher power output than the vacuum BWO over a broader region of magnetic guide field strength. Trivelpiece-Gould modes (T-G modes) are observed with frequencies up to the background plasma frequency in a plasma-filled BWO. Mode competition between the T-G modes and the X-band Tm01 mode prevailed when the background plasma density was below 6×1011 cm-3 . At a critical background plasma density of ≃8×1011 cm-3 power enhancement appeared in both X-band and the T-G modes. Power enhancement of the S-band in this mode collaboration region reached up to 8 dB. Electric fields measured by the Stark-effect method were as high as 34 kV/cm while the BWO power level was 80 MW. In ionic conductors, long range-migrating charges are a main cause of polarization processes. This has complicated, up to date, the study of ionic thermocurrents (ITC) in solid electrolytes. However, the method is appealing, as it probes directly charge-formation phenomena that are important both from a scientific point of view and for applications. This work reports on the observation of ITC in solid electrolytes. Under appropriate experimental conditions, the ITC response of a zirconia sample electroded with platinum is a reproducible one, thus opening the way to a new characterization method that may complement other well established methods, such as Impedance Spectroscopy and a number of electrochemical techniques. The general trends of the response, which is composed of two well resolved ITC peaks, is discussed. One of them, taking place at higher temperatures, conforms to the standard shape of a first order kinetics depolarization process.
