In this study, double‐emulsion capsules (DECs) capable of concealing drug‐incorporated targeted‐supermolecules are developed to achieve “on‐demand” supermolecule release and enhanced sequential targeting for magneto‐chemotherapy. These water‐in‐oil‐in‐water DECs less than 200 nm in diameter are synthesized using a single component of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) polymer and the magnetic nanoparticles, which are capable of encapsulating large quantities of targeted supermolecules composed of palitaxel‐incorporated beta‐cyclodextrin decorated by hyaluronic acid (HA, a CD44‐targeting ligand) in the watery core. The release profiles (slow, sustained and burst release) of the targeted supermolecules can be directly controlled by regulating the high‐frequency magnetic field (HFMF) and polymer conformation without sacrificing the targeting ability. Through an intravenous injection, the positive targeting of the supermolecules exhibited a 20‐fold increase in tumor accumulation via the passive targeting and delivery of DECs followed by positive targeting of the supermolecules. Moreover, this dual‐targeting drug‐incorporated supermolecular delivery vehicle at the tumor site combined with magneto‐thermal therapy suppressed the cancer growth more efficiently than treatment with either drug or supermolecule alone.
β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) functionalized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) via one step electrochemical potentiodyanamic method has been prepared. Scanning electron microscopy, Energy‐Dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry were used to study the role of β‐CD on preparation of AgNPs and RGO. RGO/β‐CD/AgNPs modified GCE showed good electrochemical activity towards electro‐oxidation of hydrazine in terms of decreasing the over potential and increasing the peak current. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient (α) and diffusion coefficient (Do) of the modified electrode towards hydrazine were determined to be 0.66 and 0.97×10?6 cm2 s?1, respectively. The LOD of our sensor was many folds lower than that of recommended concentration of hydrazine in drinking water by United States Environmental Protection Agency and World Health Organization. The sensor exhibited a wide linear range from 0.08 to 1110 µM and a very low detection limit (LOD) of 1.4 nM. In addition, the sensor selectively determined hydrazine even in the presence of common interferents. 相似文献
The electron positive boron atom usually does not contribute to the frontier orbitals for several lower‐lying electronic transitions, and thus is ideal to serve as a hub for the spiro linker of light‐emitting molecules, such that the electron donor (HOMO) and acceptor (LUMO) moieties can be spatially separated with orthogonal orientation. On this basis, we prepared a series of novel boron complexes bearing electron deficient pyridyl pyrrolide and electron donating phenylcarbazolyl fragments or triphenylamine. The new boron complexes show strong solvent‐polarity dependent charge‐transfer emission accompanied by a small, non‐negligible normal emission. The slim orbital overlap between HOMO and LUMO and hence the lack of electron correlation lead to a significant reduction of the energy gap between the lowest lying singlet and triplet excited states (ΔET‐S) and thereby the generation of thermally activated delay fluorescence (TADF). 相似文献
Metal coordination compound (MCC) glasses [e.g., metal-organic framework (MOF) glass, coordination polymer glass, and metal inorganic-organic complex (MIOC) glass] are emerging members of the hybrid glass family. So far, a limited number of crystalline MCCs can be converted into glasses by melt-quenching. Here, we report a universal wet-chemistry method, by which the super-sized supramolecular MIOC glasses can be synthesized from non-meltable MOFs. Alcohol and acid were used as agents to inhibit crystallization. The MIOC glasses demonstrate unique features including high transparency, shaping capability, and anisotropic network. Directional photoluminescence with a large polarization ratio (≈47 %) was observed from samples doped with organic dyes. This crystallization-suppressing approach enables fabrication of super-sized MCC glasses, which cannot be achieved by conventional vitrification methods, and thus allows for exploring new MCC glasses possessing photonic functionalities. 相似文献
The electrochemical reduction reaction of nitrogenous species such as NO3− (NO3RR) and N2 (NRR) is a promising strategy for producing ammonia under ambient conditions. However, low activity and poor selectivity of both NO3RR and NRR remain the biggest problem of all current electrocatalysts. In this work, we fabricated Cu-nanosphere film with a high surface area and dominant with a Cu(200) facet by simple electrodeposition method. The Cu-nanosphere film exhibits high electrocatalytic activity for NO3RR and NRR to ammonia under ambient conditions. In the nitrate environment, the Cu-nanosphere electrode reduced NO3− to yield NH3 at a rate of 5.2 mg/h cm2, with a Faradaic efficiency of 85 % at −1.3 V. In the N2-saturated environment, the Cu-nanosphere electrode reduced N2 to yield NH3 with the highest yield rate of 16.2 μg/h cm2 at −0.5 V, and the highest NH3 Faradaic efficiency of 41.6 % at −0.4 V. Furthermore, the Cu-nanosphere exhibits excellent stability with the NH3 yield rate, and the Faradaic efficiency remains stable after 10 consecutive cycles. Such high levels of NH3 yield, selectivity, and stability at low applied potential are among the best values currently reported in the literature. 相似文献
The interplay between excited‐state charge and proton transfer reactions in protic solvents is investigated in a series of 7‐azaindole (7AI) derivatives: 3‐cyano‐7‐azaindole (3CNAI), 5‐cyano‐7‐azaindole (5CNAI), 3,5‐dicyano‐7‐azaindole (3,5CNAI) and dicyanoethenyl‐7‐azaindole (DiCNAI). Similar to 7AI, 3CNAI and 3,5CNAI undergo methanol catalyzed excited‐state double proton transfer (ESDPT), resulting in dual (normal and proton transfer) emission. Conversely, ESDPT is prohibited for 5CNAI and DiCNAI in methanol, as supported by a unique normal emission with high quantum efficiency. Instead, the normal emission undergoes prominent solvatochromism. Detailed relaxation dynamics and temperature dependent studies are carried out. The results conclude that significant excited‐state charge transfer (ESCT) takes place for both 5CNAI and DiCNAI. The charge‐transfer specie possesses a different dipole moment from that of the proton‐transfer tautomer species. Upon reaching the equilibrium polarization, there exists a solvent‐polarity induced barrier during the proton‐transfer tautomerization, and ESDPT is prohibited for 5CNAI and DiCNAI during the excited‐state lifespan. The result is remarkably different from 7AI, which is also unique among most excited‐state charge/proton transfer coupled systems studied to date. 相似文献
Many biologically active small‐molecule natural products produced by microorganisms derive their activities from sugar substituents. Changing the structures of these sugars can have a profound impact on the biological properties of the parent compounds. This realization has inspired attempts to derivatize the sugar moieties of these natural products through exploitation of the sugar biosynthetic machinery. This approach requires an understanding of the biosynthetic pathway of each target sugar and detailed mechanistic knowledge of the key enzymes. Scientists have begun to unravel the biosynthetic logic behind the assembly of many glycosylated natural products and have found that a core set of enzyme activities is mixed and matched to synthesize the diverse sugar structures observed in nature. Remarkably, many of these sugar biosynthetic enzymes and glycosyltransferases also exhibit relaxed substrate specificity. The promiscuity of these enzymes has prompted efforts to modify the sugar structures and alter the glycosylation patterns of natural products through metabolic pathway engineering and enzymatic glycodiversification. In applied biomedical research, these studies will enable the development of new glycosylation tools and generate novel glycoforms of secondary metabolites with useful biological activity. 相似文献
Droplet-based microfluidic systems have been shown to be compatible with many chemical and biological reagents and capable of performing a variety of "digital fluidic" operations that can be rendered programmable and reconfigurable. This platform has dimensional scaling benefits that have enabled controlled and rapid mixing of fluids in the droplet reactors, resulting in decreased reaction times. This, coupled with the precise generation and repeatability of droplet operations, has made the droplet-based microfluidic system a potent high throughput platform for biomedical research and applications. In addition to being used as microreactors ranging from the nano- to femtoliter range; droplet-based systems have also been used to directly synthesize particles and encapsulate many biological entities for biomedicine and biotechnology applications. This review will focus on the various droplet operations, as well as the numerous applications of the system. Due to advantages unique to droplet-based systems, this technology has the potential to provide novel solutions to today's biomedical engineering challenges for advanced diagnostics and therapeutics. 相似文献
