New synthetic strategies that exploited the strengths of both chemoselective ligation and recombinant protein expression were developed to prepare K27 di‐ubiquitins (diUb), which enabled mechanistic studies on the molecular recognition of K27‐linked Ubs by single‐molecule Förster resonance energy transfer (smFRET) and X‐ray crystallography. The results revealed that free K27 diUb adopted a compact conformation, whereas upon binding to UCHL3, K27 diUb was remodeled to an open conformation. The K27 isopeptide bond remained rigidly buried inside the diUb moiety during binding, an interesting unique structural feature that may explain the distinctive biological function of K27 Ub chains. 相似文献

Designing oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts with excellent performance has far-reaching significance. In this work, a high-activity biomass free-metal carbon catalyst with N and S co-doped was successfully prepared by using the KOH activated awn stem powder as the precursor with organic matter pore-forming doping technology, which is named TAAS. The content of pyridine nitrogen groups accounts for up to 36% of the total nitrogen content, and a rich pore structure is formed on the surface and inside, which are considered as the potential active centers of ORR. The results show that the specific surface area of TAAS reaches 191.04 m2/g, which effectively increases the active sites of the catalyst, and the initial potential and half slope potential are as high as 0.90 and 0.76 V vs. RHE, respectively. This study provides a low-cost, environmentally friendly and feasible strategy for the conversion of low-value agricultural and forestry wastes into high value-added products to promote sustainable development of energy and the environment. 相似文献

We present herein a simple template method for preparing noble metal nanonets with defined sizes. The template utilized is a TiO2 nanotube (NT) array prepared by anodic oxidation of a pure titanium sheet in an electrolyte solution containing sodium fluoride. Uniform NTs with defined sizes are obtained by controlling the anodic potential. Gold nanonets are prepared by electrodepositing gold onto the template and then dissolving the TiO2 template in a 0.2 M HF solution. The pore size of the gold nanonet is determined by the TiO2 NT hole size. The formation mechanism of the nanonet is elucidated from field-emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Although a lot of reports have been presented on the synthesis of nanostructure materials, no work has been reported on the template synthesis of gold nanonets. We study the dependence of synchronization transitions in scale-free networks of bursting neurons with hybrid synapses on the information transmission delay and the probability of inhibitory synapses. It is shown that, irrespective of the probability of inhibitory synapses, the delay always plays a subtle role during synchronization transition of the scale-free neuronal networks. In particular, regions of irregular and regular propagating excitatory fronts appear intermittently as the delay increases. These delay-induced synchronization transitions are manifested as well-expressed minima in the measure for spatiotemporal synchrony. In addition, it is found that, for smaller and larger probability of inhibitory synapses, intermittent synchronization transition is relatively profound, while for the moderate probability of inhibitory synapses, synchronization transition seems less profound. More interestingly, it is found that as the probability of inhibitory synapses is large, regions of synchronization are upscattering. 相似文献

We proposed two whispered speech enhancement methods based on asymmetric cost functions in this paper to deal with the amplification and attenuation distortions of whispered speech distinctively.The modified Itakura-Saito(MIS)distance function provides more penalties to speech amplification distortion,whereas the Kullback-Leibler(KL)divergence function gives more penalties to speech attenuation distortion.The experimental results show that the MIS function based method achieves significant improvement of intelligibility in contrast to the conventional speech enhancement algorithms when the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)falls below-6 dB,whereas the KL function based one achieves the similar result as the minimum mean square error(MMSE)speech enhancement method.The results show that the effects of the amplification and attenuation distortions on the intelligibility of the enhanced whisper are different,where larger attenuation distortion may result in better intelligibility of speech with low SNR.However,the attenuation distortion has small effects on intelligibility of speech with high SNR. 相似文献

Real neurons can exhibit various types of firings including tonic spiking, bursting as well as silent state, which are frequently observed in neuronal electrophysiological experiments. More interestingly, it is found that neurons can demonstrate the co-existing mode of stable tonic spiking and bursting, which depends on initial conditions. In this paper, synchronization in gap-junction-coupled neurons with co-existing attractors of spiking and bursting firings is investigated as the coupling strength gets increased. Synchronization transitions can be identified by means of the bifurcation diagram and the correlation coefficient. It is illustrated that the coupled neurons can exhibit different types of synchronization transitions between spiking and bursting when the coupling strength increases. In the course of synchronization transitions, an intermittent synchronization can be observed. These results may be instructive to understand synchronization transitions in neuronal systems. 相似文献
