Dynamic mechanical properties of two copolymers of styrene and n-hexyl methacrylate

The storage (J′) and loss (J″) shear compliances have been measured for two random copolymers of styrene and n-hexyl methacrylate with styrene contents of 18% and 30% (by weight) in the frequency range 45–4400 Hz and the temperature range 31–107°C. The data at different temperatures were combined by the method of reduced variables, and the WLF coefficients were calculated from the temperature shift factors by the method of Pierson and Kovacs. The data were compared with earlier data for the two homopolymers. The thermal expansion coefficient of the fractional free volume, and the free volume at the glass transition temperature, varied monotonically with composition, but the fractional free volume at a reference temperature of 100°C appeared to pass through a maximum as a function of concentration. Comparison of isothermal plots of J′ at 100°C, plots of the relaxation spectrum at 100°C, the monomer friction coefficient and its temperature dependence, and isochronal plots of the storage shear moduls at 100 radians/see all show that the properties of poly(n-hexyl methacrylate) are very slightly affected by incorporation of 18% styrene and only moderately affected by 30% styrene. By contrast, comparison of styrene–butadiene rubber with 1,4-polybutadiene shows a very large effect of incorporation of 23.5% styrene. These differences may be associated with local packing relations of the comonomer residues and suggest that copolymer properties cannot be readily predicted from those of the component homopolymers.     

Synthetic zeolites A and X as stationary phases in thin-layer chromatography

Summary The possibility of using synthetic zeolites A and X as stationary phases in thin-layer chromatography has been investigated and the method of preparing layers from crystalline zeolites and their gels determined, as was the possibility of separating certain mixtures on the layers obtained. Experiments were performed simultaneously on layers from zeolites A and X dried at room temperature and on layers activated at 120°C, and also on layers from amorphous forms but in this case only on those dried at room temperature. Dyes and inorganic cations were used as test substances. On the basis of the results obtained it has been established that only the crystalline compounds can be successfully used as thin layers for the separation of organic compounds.     

Isomer separation, conformation control of flexible cyclohexanedicarboxylate ligand in cadmium complexes

Two 2D cadmium coordination polymers have been prepared using flexible 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid (chdcH2) under hydrothermal condition, the conformations of chdcH2 were separated completely in the synthetic reactions.     

Long-Time Behaviour of the Solutions for the Multidimensional Kolmogorov-Spieqel-Sivashinsky Equation

In this paper, we study the existence and long-time behaviour of the solutions for the multidimensional Kolmogorov-Spiegel-Sivashinsky equation. We first show the existence of the global solution for this equation, and then prove the existence of the global attractor and establish the estimates of the upper bounds of Hausdorff and fractal dimensions for the attractor. We also obtain the Gevrey class regularity for the solutions and construct an approximate inertial manifold for the system. Received April 15, 1999, Accepted September 6, 2000     

高频地波雷达信号波形分析

Determination of Danshensu, a major active compound of Radix Salvia miltiorrhiza in dog plasma by HPLC with fluorescence detection.

A simple and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography method has been developed for the determination of Danshensu (3, 4-dihydroxyphenyllactic acid) in dog plasma. Plasma samples were extracted with ethyl acetate. Analysis of the extracts was performed on a reversed-phase column with an aqueous phosphate buffer-acetonitrile (93:7, v/v) mobile phase, and 4-hydroxybenzoic acid was used as the internal standard. Fluorescence detection at 285 nm (excitation) and 320 nm (emission) was employed. Standard curves were linear in the range from 0.125 to 11.3 microg/mL (regression coefficient r > 0.993) on three different days. Mean recovery was determined as 96.4% by analysis of plasma standard containing 0.63, 5.65 and 11.3 microg/mL of Danshensu. The inter-day precision (RSD) ranged from 3.4 to 8.6% at concentrations of 0.125, 1.88, 6.28 and 11.3 microg/mL, and the intra-day precision was better than 7.2%. The detection and quantitation limits were 0.063 and 0.125 microg/mL, respectively. This validated assay was applied to the determination of Danshensu concentration in dog plasma after oral administration of Radix Salvia miltiorrhiza extracts.     

Synthesis,spectroscopic and voltammetric studies of mixed-ligand copper(II) complexes of amino acids

Two Cu^II complexes of the type [Cu(L¹)(L²)] (where L¹ = tryptophanate or phenylalaninate; L² = cysteine thiolate) have been prepared and characterised, and their spectrophotometric and voltammetric behaviour has been investigated. The results obtained by means of FT-IR, e.s.r., u.v.–vis. spectroscopy and by voltammetry revealed the existence of two different [Cu(L¹)(L²)] complexes. A significance decrease in the g _|| value and, concomitantly, an increase in the d–d transition energy was observed when a mixed-ligand complex is present. The observed anisotropic g-values indicate the presence of Cu^II in a tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry. Formation of a mixed-ligand copper complex can be considered as a type of synergism in the presence of cysteine. The redox state Cu^II or Cu^I of copper in the Cu(L²) complex depends on the analysing conditions, i.e., cysteine forms a Cu^II complex under aerobic conditions and a Cu^I complex in anaerobic media. Tryptophan or phenylalanine is bound to Cu^II ions in the Cu(L¹) complexes.

本文采用微波消解样品,ICP－MS法同时测定鲸肉中K、Na、Ca、Mg、Fe、Mn、Zn、Cu、Se、Ge10种元素的含量,在最佳实验条件下,RSD为1.21%－3.87%,标准加入回收率为95.6%-101.9%,方法简便、可靠。
