Carrier Transport Behaviour of Molecular Doped Poly（N—Vinylcabozole）in Polymer Light—Emitting Diodes

Single-layer polymer light-emitting diodes are prepared from blends of poly(N-vinylcarbozole)(PVK) doped with tris(8-hydroxy-quinoline)aluminium(Alq3) of 2wt%(sample a)and 0.2wt%(sample b).The onset of PVK transient electroluminescence(EL) is delayed with respect to that of Alq3 in sample a under pulsed excitation,while the EL onsets of Alq3 and PVK in sample b are simultaneous.The total carrier mobility of the Alq3-rich regions in sample a is larger than that of the PVK-rich regions.However,the total carrier mobility is homogeneous in sample b.the phase image of atomic force microscopy and photoluminescence spectra of samples a and b indicate that the separated phase of samples a and b exists in the PVK-rich and Alq3-rich regions.The variance of the doping concentration and separated phase in blends results in the different carrier transport mobility of Alq3-rich and PVK-rich regions.     

Single-frequency terahertz source pumped by Q-switched fiber lasers based on difference-frequency generation in GaSe crystal

We demonstrate a unique terahertz (THz) source that is compact, utilizes recently developed all-fiber Q-switched lasers, and is based on difference-frequency generation in a GaSe crystal. A single piezo simultaneously Q switched the two fiber lasers by using stress-induced birefringence, to achieve the temporal overlap of pulses from the two fiber lasers. These correlated pulses then combine in the GaSe crystal to produce coherent and highly monochromatic THz pulses. The peak power for this THz source can reach 0.53 mW, corresponding to an average power of 0.43 microW and a conversion efficiency of 4.75 x 10(-7). The estimated linewidth of this THz source can be as narrow as approximately 35 MHz or 1.17 x 10(-3) cm(-1).

Quantum-limited noise performance of a mode-locked laser diode

Low-noise operation of a 9-GHz hybridly mode-locked laser diode is demonstrated. The integrated timing jitter was 47 fs (10 Hz to 10 MHz) and 86 fs (10 Hz to 4.5 GHz), with a pulse width of 6.7 ps. The noise performance as a function of filter bandwidth and oscillator noise is also addressed.     

Self-stabilized passive, harmonically mode-locked stretched-pulse erbium fiber ring laser

We have studied a passive, harmonically mode-locked stretched-pulse erbium fiber ring laser with net positive dispersion that is self-stabilized by gain depletion and electrostriction. Periodic pulses with supermode suppression of >75 dB and picosecond jitter are achieved. The pulses are compressible to 125 fs by external chirp compensation. The repetition rate is 220 MHz, and the average power is as high as 80 mW.     

Phase-incoherent superconducting pairs in the normal state of Ba(Fe(1-x)Co(x))₂As₂

The normal state properties of the recently discovered ferropnictide superconductors might hold the key to understanding their exotic superconductivity. Using point-contact spectroscopy we show that Andreev reflection between an epitaxial thin film of Ba(Fe(0.92)Co(0.08))?As? and a silver tip can be seen in the normal state of the film up to temperature T～1.3T(c), where T(c) is the critical temperature of the superconductor. Andreev reflection far above T(c) can be understood only when superconducting pairs arising from strong fluctuation of the phase of the complex superconducting order parameter exist in the normal state. Our results provide spectroscopic evidence of phase-incoherent superconducting pairs in the normal state of the ferropnictide superconductors.

光纤望远系统束端面垂直度对成像效果的影响

针对光纤望远系统中大截面光纤传像端面垂直度误差,分析了像束出射端光通量分布状态的变化。结合实际的光纤望远系统,阐明了像束端面垂直度对整个系统成像效果主要参数－系统透过率的影响原因。
