In this paper, we present a review of the write and read processes in perpendicular magnetic recording. We also discuss their impact, based on recording physics aspects, on design considerations for writers and readers. For the write process, we discuss fundamental write-ability limitations as well as possible paths to ultra-high areal density perpendicular recording. The impacts of different medium designs, geometrical scaling, and the breakdown of scaling, both in terms of write-ability and transition curvature, are shown based on different modeling techniques, including analytical formulas, finite element modeling (FEM), and micromagnetic simulations. Basic design rules as well as alternative designs that enable high areal density are briefly explained. For the read-back process, the relation between reader signal to noise ratio (SNR) and resistance, as well as reader resistance shunt and spacing loss, are discussed. Finally, we use a simple example to illustrate, both from a write as well as a read-back perspective, the complicated nature of perpendicular recording systems, and how different medium designs impact recording head technology for ultra high density perpendicular recording. 相似文献

Magnetic Fe3O4 materials with mesoporous structure are synthesized by co-precipitation method using yeast cells as a template. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern indicates that the as-synthesized mesoporous hybrid Fe3O4 is well crystallized. The Barrett-Joyner-Halenda (BJH) models reveal the existence of mesostructure in the dried sample which has a specific surface area of 96.31 m2/g and a pore size distribution of 8-14 nm. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements confirm the wormhole-like structure of the resulting samples. The composition and chemical bonds of the Fe3O4/cells composites are studied by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Preliminary magnetic properties of the mesoporous hybrid Fe3O4 are characterized by a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Being driven by an external electric field a polaron carrying both spin 1/2 and charge ±e moves at a constant speed in a polymer chain. When the polaron passes through a specific site, which couples to a magnetic impurity via spin-exchange interactions, its spin undergoes a spin-flip process if it is antiparallel to the impurity spin. Our numerical simulation shows that (a) a swap-like operation is performed between the polaron and impurity during the scattering process (b) polarons might be good candidates to be information carriers in the molecular scale. 相似文献

Ultrafast photocurrent measurements are performed on individual carbon nanotube p-i-n photodiodes. The photocurrent response to subpicosecond pulses separated by a variable time delay Δt shows strong photocurrent suppression when two pulses overlap (Δt=0). The picosecond-scale decay time of photocurrent suppression scales inversely with the applied bias V(SD), and is twice as long for photon energy above the second subband E22 as compared to lower energy. Fractional Fourier-domain random encoding and pixel scrambling technique for double image encryption
A double image encryption method is proposed using fractional Fourier-domain random encoding and pixel scrambling technique. One of the two original images is encoded into the phase function of a synthesized input signal after being scrambled, and the other original image encoded into its amplitude. The phase function serves as phase mask in the input domain, and the synthesized input signal is then encrypted into stationary white noise by utilizing random phase encoding in fractional Fourier domain. The two original images can be retrieved without cross-talk by using the correct keys with fractional orders, the random phase mask and the pixel scrambling operator. S-transform proposed in 1996 by Stockwell R.G is a simple and popular technique for the time–frequency analysis. It has been introduced in optical three-dimensional shape measurement, recently. In this paper, a study about applications of S-transform in the demodulation of deformed fringe patterns is performed. We focus on discussing not only the S-transform spectrum filtering technique, the S-transform ridge technique and the phase gradient calculation method based on S-transform used in fringe pattern demodulation, but also the phase unwrapping technique. In addition, a generalized S-transform was introduced to analyze fringe patterns, which is helpful to improve the measurement accuracy and flexibility of the method based on S-transform. Micro-sized NaY(MoO4)2:Tb3+ phosphors with dendritic morphology was synthesized by a ionic liquid-assisted hydrothermal process. X-ray diffraction (XRD) indicated that the as-prepared product is pure tetragonal phase of NaY(MoO4)2. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) images showed that the as-prepared NaY(MoO4)2:Tb3+ phosphors have dendritic morphology. The photoluminescent (PL) spectra displayed that the as-prepared NaY(MoO4)2:Tb3+ phosphors show a stronger green emission with main emission wavelength 545 nm corresponding to the 5D4→7F5 transition of Tb3+ ion, and the optimal Tb3+ doping concentration for obtaining maximum emission intensity was confirmed to be 10 mol%. Based on Van Uitert's and Dexter's models the electric dipole–dipole (D–D) interaction was confirmed to be responsible for the concentration quenching of 5D4 fluorescence of Tb3+ in the NaY(MoO4)2:Tb3+ phosphors. The intrinsic radiative transition lifetime of 5D4 level is found to be 0.703 ms. 相似文献

We propose a realizable quantum information splitting (QIS) scheme for an arbitrary three-qubit state via the cavity input–output process. In our scheme, a four-qubit cluster state and a three-qubit Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinge (GHZ) state are used as quantum channel. The sender and controller only need to perform Bell-state measurements and a single-qubit measurement, respectively. The receiver can reconstruct the arbitrary three-qubit state by classical communication and local operations. Compared with the scheme in Nie et al. [Optics Communications 284 (2011) 1457], the quantum resources and classical information in our scheme are decreased by 5 qubits and 1 bit, respectively. Moreover, we replace the W-state category measurement in the former with Bell-state measurements and a single-qubit measurement, which is more simple and feasible in experiment. 相似文献

This paper presents a new smooth memristor oscillator,
which is derived from Chua's oscillator by replacing Chua's diode
with a flux-controlled memristor and a negative conductance. Novel
parameters and initial conditions are dependent upon dynamical behaviours
such as transient chaos and stable chaos with an intermittence
period and are found in the smooth memristor oscillator. By using
dynamical analysis approaches including time series, phase portraits
and bifurcation diagrams, the dynamical behaviours of the proposed
