A novel double-slab Nd:YAG laser, which uses face-pumped slab medium cooled by liquid with different temperatures on both sides, is proposed. The thermal distortion of wavefront caused by the non-uniform temperature distribution in the laser gain media can be self-compensated. According to the method of operation, the models of the temperature distribution and stress are presented, and the analytic solutions for the model are derived. Furthermore, the numerical simulations with pulse pumping energy of 10 J and repetition frequencies of 500 and 1000 Hz are calculated respectively for Nd:YAG laser medium. The simulation results show that the temperature gradient remains the approximative linearity, and the heat stress is within the extreme range. Then the absorption coefficient is also discussed. The result indicates that the doping concentration cannot be too large for the high repetition frequency laser. It has been proved that the high repetition frequency, high laser beam quality, and high average output power of the order of kilowatt of Nd: YAG slab laser can be achieved in this structure. 相似文献

Large-area In2O3 ordered pore arrays were prepared on glass and silicon substrates by the sol–gel technique based on colloidal monolayer spheres. The morphologies of such arrays are determined by precursor concentration used and colloidal sphere size, and are thus controllable. It has been shown that the formed ordered pore arrays consist of In2O3 polycrystallites. The photoluminescence measurement of the In2O3 ordered pore arrays shows that there is a strong photoluminescence band in the blue-green region centered around 465 nm, which does not exist in the bulk materials. Further experiments reveal that this peak originates from the oxygen deficiencies in In2O3 skeletons. This polydomain ordered pore-structured array could be of great potential for Si-based integrated nanophotonics and optoelectronic devices of the next generation, in addition to new gas sensors. In this paper, we report that amorphous silicon oxide nanowires can be grown in a large quantity by chemical vapor deposition with molten gallium as the catalyst in a flow of mixture of SiH4, H2 and N2 at 600 °C. Meanwhile, when we grow these nanowires under the same conditions but without H2, octopus-like silicon oxide nanostructures are obtained. The reasons and mechanisms for the growth of these nanowires and nanostructures are discussed. Blue light emission is observed from SiOx nanowires, which can be attributed to defect centers of high oxygen deficiency. These SiOx nanowires may find applications in nanodevices and reinforcing composites. 相似文献

We report on the blue-green-red up-conversion spectroscopic properties of Pr3+/Yb3+-codoped oxyhalide tellurite glasses upon excitation of a conventional 980 nm laser diode (LD). Significant enhancement of the blue-green-red up-conversion emission intensity has been observed with increasing PbCl2 doping. The up-conversion intensity has a quadratic dependence on incident pump laser power, indicating a two-photon process. The population of the Pr3+ upper 3P0 emitting level was accomplished through a combination of a ground state absorption, energy transfer and excitated state absorption. 1.3-μm emission in the second telecom window originated from Pr3+:1G4→3H5 transition has also been investigated upon excitation at 980 nm LD. The measured peak wavelength and full width at half-maximum of the fluorescent are 1335 nm and ∼100 nm, respectively. An enhanced 1.3μm emission with increasing PbCl2 doping has also been observed. Codoping of Yb3+ significantly enhance both the blue-green-red up-conversion emission and 1.3-μm emission intensity by way of a nonradiative Yb3+:2F5→Pr3+:1G4 energy transfer. 相似文献

First-principles calculations have been performed to study the electronic band structure and ferromagnetic properties of the double perovskite Sr2CrReO6. The density of states (DOS), the total energy, and the spin magnetic moment were calculated. The calculations reveal that the Sr2CrReO6 has a stable ferromagnetic ground state and the spin magnetic moment per molecule is 1.0 μB, in good agreement with the experimental value. By analysis of the band structure, we propose that the ordered double perovskite Sr2CrReO6 is a strong candidate for half-metallic ferromagnet. 相似文献

In a semiconductor quantum dot, the IIx and IIy transitions to the polarization eigenstates, |x> and |y>, naturally form a three-level V-type system. Using low-temperature polarized photoluminescence spectroscopy, we have investigated the exciton dynamics arising under strong laser excitation. We also explicitly solved the density matrix equations for comparison with the experimental data. The polarization of the exciting field controls the coupling between the otherwise orthogonal states. In particular, when the system is initialized into \Y>, a polarization-tailored pulse can swap the population into |x>, and vice versa, effectively operating on the exciton spin. 相似文献

Using the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have studied the distribution of kinematic variables in the decay lambda(+)(c)lambda--> e(+)nu(e). By performing a four-dimensional maximum likelihood fit, we determine the form factor ratio, R= f(2)/f(1) = -0.31 +/- 0.05(stat) +/- 0.04(syst), the pole mass, M(pole) = [2.21 +/- 0.08(stat) +/- 0.14(syst)] GeV/c(2), and the decay asymmetry parameter of the lambda(+)(c), alpha (lambda(c)) = -0.86 +/-0.03(stat) +/- 0.02(syst), for q(2) = 0.67 (GeV/c(2))(2). We compare the angular distributions of the lambda(+)(c) and lambda(-)(c) and find no evidence for CP violation: A(lambda(c)) = (alpha(lambda(c)) + alpha (lambda(c)))/(alpha(lambda(c))-alpha(lambda(c))) = 0.00 +/- 0.03(stat) +/- 0.01(syst) +/- 0.02, where the third error is from the uncertainty in the world average of the CP-violating parameter, A(lambda), for ppi(-). 相似文献

Electronic Moirè patterns found on lead (Pb) quantum islands can serve as a template to grow self-organized cluster (nanopucks) arrays of various materials. These patterns can be divided into fcc- and hcp-stacked areas, which exhibit different binding strengths to the deposited adatoms. For Ag adatoms, the binding energy can differ substantially and the confined nucleation thus occurs in the fcc sites. Both the size distribution and spatial arrangement of the Ag nanopucks are analyzed and found to be commensurate with the characteristics of the template island, which exhibits a bilayer oscillatory behavior. 相似文献
