We propose a new computational protocol to obtain highly accurate theoretical reference data. This protocol employs the explicitly correlated coupled-cluster method with iterative single and double excitations as well as perturbative triple excitations, CCSD(T)(F12), using quadruple-z\zeta basis sets. Higher excitations are accounted for by conventional CCSDT(Q) calculations using double-z\zeta basis sets, while core/core-valence correlation effects are estimated by conventional CCSD(T) calculations using quadruple-z\zeta basis sets. Finally, scalar-relativistic effects are accounted for by conventional CCSD(T) calculations using triple-z\zeta basis sets. In the present article, this protocol is applied to the popular test sets AE6 and BH6. An error analysis shows that the new reference values obtained by our computational protocol have an uncertainty of less than 1 kcal/mol (chemical accuracy). Furthermore, concerning the atomization energies, a cancellation of the basis set incompleteness error in the CCSD(T)(F12) perturbative triples contribution with the corresponding error in the contribution from higher excitations is observed. This error cancellation is diminished by the CCSD(T*)(F12) method. Thus, we recommend the use of the CCSD(T*)(F12) method only for small- and medium-sized basis sets, while the CCSD(T)(F12) approach is preferred for high-accuracy calculations in large basis sets.  相似文献

The electronic gas-phase absorption spectrum of the bent carbon-chain radical, HC(4)CHC(6)H with C(s) symmetry, is recorded in the 595 nm region by cavity ring-down spectroscopy through an expanding hydrogen plasma. An unambiguous spectroscopic identification becomes possible from a systematic deuterium labeling experiment. A comparison of the results with recently reported spectra of the nonlinear HC(4)CHC(4)H and HC(4)C(C(2)H)C(4)H radicals with C(2v) symmetry provides a more comprehensive understanding of the molecular behavior of π-conjugated bent carbon-chain systems upon electronic excitation. We find that the electronic excitation in the bent carbon-chain HC(4)CHC(2n)H (n = 1-4) series exhibits a similar trend as in the linear HC(2n+1)H (n = 3-6) series, shifting optical absorptions towards longer wavelengths for increasing overall bent chain lengths. The π-conjugation in bent HC(4)CHC(2n)H (n = 1-4) chains is found to be generally smaller than in the linear HC(2n+1)H (n = 3-6) case for equivalent numbers of C-atoms. The addition of an electron-donating group to the bent chain causes a slight decrease of the effective conjugation.  相似文献

The synthesis and full characterization of new derivatives of indolo[3,2-b]carbazole with differently substituted phenyl groups at nitrogen atoms is reported. Comparative study on their thermal, optical electrochemical, and photoelectrical properties is presented. The synthesized compounds are electrochemically stable. Their highest occupied molecular orbital energy values range from -5.14 to -5.07 eV. The electron photoemission spectra of the films of synthesized materials revealed the ionization potentials of 5.31-5.47 eV. Hole drift mobility of the amorphous film of 5,11-bis(3-methoxyphenyl)-6-pentyl-5,11-dihydroindolo[3,2-b]carbazole exceed 10(-3) cm(2)/V·s at high electric fields, as it was established by xerographic time-of-flight technique. In contrast to diphenylamino substituted derivatives of carbazole, no effect of the position of methoxy groups on the photoelectrical properties was observed for the synthesized methoxyphenyl-substituted derivatives of indolo[3,2-b]carbazole. The indolo[3,2-b]carbazole core has a larger resonance structure that includes 3 phenyl rings, and thus the energy gap of the HOMO and LUMO π orbitals is lower as compared to that of carbazoles. With a larger energy difference between the phenyl substituents and the core moiety, the indolo[3,2-b]carbazole derivatives studied all have a weaker coupling between the phenyl group and a much weaker dependence of the molecular properties on the position of substituents on the phenyl groups as compared to those observed in substituted carbazoles.  相似文献

In pursuit of highly preorganized macrocyclic host molecules for the complexation of anions, a series of oxacalix[2]arene[2]pyrimidine-based bis(thio)ureido receptors were synthesized and fully characterized. The pincer-like 1,3-alternate conformation of the oxacalix[4]arene scaffold, essential for an efficient host-guest interaction, was visualized by single-crystal X-ray analysis and supported by variable-temperature NMR studies. The anion binding properties of the receptors were evaluated via (1)H NMR titration experiments, showing intermolecular interactions with H(2)PO(4)(-), AcO(-), BzO(-), and Cl(-) ions. The host molecule bearing 4-nitrophenyl substituents on the bisurea binding pocket showed association constants in the range of 200-400 M(-1) in the strongly competitive solvent mixture of DMSO/0.5% H(2)O.  相似文献

Methoxypoly(ethylene glycol)-b-oligo-L-lactate (mPEG-b-OLA) diblock oligomers with monodisperse OLA blocks were obtained by fractionation of polydisperse block oligomers using preparative HPLC. The fractionated oligomers were composed of an mPEG block with a molecular weight of 350, 550, or 750 and an OLA block with a degree of polymerization of 4, 6, 8, or 10. The diblock oligomers with a low PEG content were fully amorphous, with glass transition temperatures ranging from -60 to -20 degrees C, indicating that the blocks were miscible. Upon heating aqueous dispersions of the block oligomers, cloud points, depending on the PEG/OLA ratio of the block oligomer, were observed at temperatures above 40 degrees C. The monodispersity of the hydrophobic block enabled the amphiphilic molecules to form nanoparticles in water with a hydrodynamic radius of 130-300 nm, at concentrations above the critical aggregation concentration (0.4-1 mg/mL), whereas polydisperse mPEG-b-OLAs gave formation of large aggregates. Static light scattering measurements showed that the nanoparticles have a low density (0.6-25 mg/mL), indicating that the particles are highly hydrated. In agreement herewith, the (1)H NMR spectra of nanoparticles in D2O closely resembled spectra in a good solvent for both blocks (CDCl3). It is therefore suggested that the nanoparticles contain a hydrated core of mPEG-b-OLA block oligomers, stabilized by a thin outer PEG layer. The particles were stable for two weeks, except for the mPEG350 series and mPEG750-b-OLA4, indicating that both the PEG block size and the PEG weight fraction of the oligomers determine their stability. The evident self-emulsifying properties of mPEG-b-oligo-l-lactates with monodisperse hydrophobic blocks as demonstrated in this study, together with their expected biocompatibility and biodegradability, make these systems well suitable for pharmaceutical applications.  相似文献

In the framework of second-order M?ller-Plesset linear-r(12) (MP2-R12) perturbation theory, a method is developed and implemented that uses an auxiliary basis set for the resolution-of-the-identity (RI) approximation for the three- and four-electron integrals. In contrast to previous work, the two-electron integrals that must be evaluated never involve more than one auxiliary basis function. The new method therefore scales linearly with the number of auxiliary basis functions and is much more efficient than the previous one, which scaled quadratically. A general formulation of MP2-R12 theory is presented for various ansatze, approximations, and orbitals (canonical or localized). The new method is assessed by computations of the valence-shell second-order M?ller-Plesset correlation energy of a few small closed-shell systems. The preliminary calculations indicate that the difference between the new and previous methods is about one order of magnitude smaller than the errors that occur due to basis-set truncations and RI approximations and under the assumptions of generalized and extended Brillouin conditions.  相似文献
