Dihydrosiloles are easily prepared from 1,3-dienes and dichlorosilanes, even on kilogram scale. Asymmetric hydroboration of a 3-alkyl-1,5-dihydrosilole, prepared from a 2-alkyl-1,3-diene, followed by treatment with aqueous HF results in Peterson fragmentation, forming optically active 3-alkyl-4-fluorosilyl-1-butenes. The fluorosilanes are stable to moisture but very reactive toward nucleophiles. In addition, they can be converted to nucleophilic silyllithium reagents.  相似文献

A new series of 1-(9-benzylidene-2,7-dichloro-9H-fluoren-4-yl)-2-(methylselanyl)ethanol was synthesized by a simple Knoevenagel condensation of 1-(2,7-dichloro-9H-fluoren-4-yl)-2-(methylselanyl)ethanol with different substituted aromatic aldehydes in basic media. These synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of their elemental analyses, infrared (IR), 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectral data and screened for the antibacterial and antifungal activity. The preliminary antibacterial and antifungal screening revealed that the compounds 8c (dichloro), 8d (fluoro), 8e (chloro), 8i (methoxy), and 8l (methyl) displayed moderate to good activity. The antibacterial results of these compounds were further supported by in silico molecular docking studies, for the inhibition of Escherichia coli MurB enzyme (PDB code: 2MBR), wherein they showed higher binding energy and good affinity towards the active pocket of the enzyme compared with that of the standard drug Ciprofloxacin. Thus, the plausible mechanism of their antibacterial activity was owed to their inhibitory action of the bacterial MurB enzyme.  相似文献

The present study reports the characterisation of a novel ~12-kDa heterodimeric protein, designated as putrin, from the seeds of Putranjiva roxburghii. The purification of putrin to homogeneity was accomplished using DEAE-sepharose where protein was unbound, CM-sepharose and Cibacron blue 3GA where it was bound and appeared as single peak on a size-exclusion chromatography column. A 15 % sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide electrophoresis gel, under reducing condition, demonstrated that putrin is made of two polypeptide chains of approximately 4.5 and 7.5 kDa. Circular dichroism studies demonstrated the helical nature and conformational stability of protein at increasing temperatures. Putrin exhibited both RNase and DNase activities and exerted antifungal activity but possessed relatively weak translation–inhibitory activity in cell-free system. The cloning and sequence analysis revealed a 414 bp open reading frame encoding a preproprotein of 137 amino acid residues. The amino acid sequence comparisons and phylogenetic analysis of putrin showed significant homology to 2S seed storage family proteins. The results demonstrated that putrin belongs to 2S albumin family and exhibits a spectrum of biotechnologically exploitable functions.  相似文献

An efficient, eco-friendly synthesis of a series of 2-{[3-oxo-3-(alkyl/aryl-1-yl)alkyl]thio}-3-substituted quinazolin-4(3H)-ones employing quinazolin-4(3H)-one and corresponding halo-acyl/haloalkyl as electrophiles is presented. The products were assayed for anti-bacterial activity on four bacterial species (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus). In-silico molecular docking studies were carried out.
