Effect of electron irradiation on the free volume related microstructural and optical properties of chalcone doped Poly(vinyl alcohol) composite films have been studied using FTIR, UV-Visible, XRD and Positron Annihilation techniques. The FTIR spectral study shows that the irradiation induces the crosslinking within the composite. Using UV-Visible absorption spectra the optical energy band gap and activation energies were estimated and the variation of these parameters suggests the existence of defects and molecular ordering within the irradiated composite. XRD diffractograms reveal that the crosslinking enhances the crystallinity of the sample. In this cross-linked polymer composite the fluorescence enhancement has been observed in the fluorescence spectral study. The Positron annihilation result suggests that the irradiation affects the free volume properties and crosslinking hinders the chalcone chromophore molecular rotation. Under this restricted condition the chromophore molecules likely to emit enhanced fluorescence and its mobility is directly related to the free volume around it. 相似文献

In the present work angular momenta of the fragments corresponding to132Im,g have been deduced from the radiochemically determined independent isomeric yield ratios and statistical model based analysis in neutron induced fission of235U,239Pu and245Cm and spontaneous fission of252Cf. These data along with similar data on134I, reported earlier from this laboratory, bring out the effects of deformed 66n and spherical 82n shells on fragment angular momentum showing also an inverse correlation of the latter with elemental yields. Quantitative estimates of fragment scission point deformation and the coefficient of change of fragment angular momentum with kinetic/excitation energy have been deduced and are seen to be in good agreement with the expected theoretical estimates. 相似文献

The condensation reaction involving an aldehyde and diketone was efficiently promoted by the Ionic liquid, [Hbim]BF(4) (IL) as a reaction medium with methanol as co-solvent at ambient temperature under ultrasonic irradiation to afford the corresponding 1,8-dioxo-octahydro-xanthene (xanthene) derivatives in excellent yields. The advantages of this method include among others the use of a recyclable, non-volatile ionic liquid, which promotes this protocol under ambient temperature without the requirement of any added catalyst. The reaction times and yields are compared with p-TSA catalyzed synthesis of xanthenes under thermal conditions, which is also reported for the first time under our reaction conditions. 相似文献

7-Deazapurine and 8-aza-7-deazapurine nucleosides related to dA and dG bearing 7-octadiynyl or 7-tripropargylamine side chains as well as corresponding oligonucleotides were synthesized. "Click" conjugation with 1-azidomethyl pyrene (10) resulted in fluorescent derivatives. Octadiynyl conjugates show only monomer fluorescence, while the proximal alignment of pyrene residues in the tripropargylamine derivatives causes excimer emission. 8-Aza-7-deazapurine pyrene "click" conjugates exhibit fluorescence emission much higher than that of 7-deazapurine derivatives. They are quenched by intramolecular charge transfer between the nucleobase and the dye. Oligonucleotide single strands decorated with two "double clicked" pyrenes show weak or no excimer fluorescence. However, when duplexes carry proximal pyrenes in complementary strands, strong excimer fluorescence is observed. A single replacement of a canonical nucleoside by a pyrene conjugate stabilizes the duplex substantially, most likely by stacking interactions: 6-12 °C for duplexes with a modified "adenine" base and 2-6 °C for a modified "guanine" base. The favorable photophysical properties of 8-aza-7-deazapurine pyrene conjugates improve the utility of pyrene fluorescence reporters in oligonucleotide sensing as these nucleoside conjugates are not affected by nucleobase induced quenching. 相似文献

The cross-link generates a sugar modification at the 2'-O-ligation site. Inexpensive ribonucleosides were used as starting materials. 11/2 transition of Nd3+ doped YVO4 crystal is reported. In this method a microchip laser is formed by keeping a small piece of the sample in plane-plane resonator
and a diode laser (808 nm) is used for pumping. The pump power induced thermal lensing effect is used to make the cavity stable.
The cavity mode area is estimated by measuring the thermal lens focal length at the threshold and the average pump area is
measured by Gaussian fit to the intensity profiles of the pump beam. The value of στ product of Nd:YVO4 crystal obtained by this method is within 10% of the reported values. The advantage of this method is that it is a simple
