It is demonstrated that ultrahigh-resolution angular measurement can be achieved via surface-plasmon-resonance excitation in which the phase difference between p- and s-polarized reflected waves is monitored as a function of the incidence angle. Resolutions down to 1.9 x 10(-6) deg are obtained by performing the measurements at optimal incident wavelengths. This represents an order of magnitude improvement compared with previously reported values.  相似文献

Reactions of dioxoruthenium(VI) porphyrins, [Ru(VI)O2(Por)], with p-chloroaniline, trimethylamine, tert-butylamine, p-nitroaniline, and diphenylamine afforded bis(amine)ruthenium(II) porphyrins, [Ru(II)(Por)(L)2] (L-p-ClC6H4NH2, Me3N, Por=TTP, 4-Cl-TPP; L=tBuNH2, Por = TPP, 3,4,5-MeO-TPP, TTP, 4-Cl-TPP, 3,5-Cl-TPP) and bis(amido)ruthenium(IV) porphyrins, [Ru(IV)(Por)(X)2] (X=p-NO2C6H4NH, Por=TTP, 4-Cl-TPP; X = Ph2N, Por = 3,4,5-MeO-TPP, 3,5-Cl-TPP), respectively. Oxidative deprotonation of [Ru(II)(Por)(NH2-p-C6H4Cl)2] in chloroform by air generated bis(arylamido)ruthenium(IV) porphyrins, [RuIV(Por)(NH-p-C6H4Cl)2] (Por=TTP. 4-Cl-TPP). Oxidation of [RuII(Por)-(NH2tBu)2] by bromine in dichloromethane in the presence of tert-butylamine and traces of water produced oxo(imido)ruthenium(VI) porphyrins, [RuVI-O(Por)(NtBu)] (Por=TPP, 3,4,5-MeO-TPP, TTP, 4-Cl-TPP, 3,5-Cl-TPP). These new classes of ruthenium complexes were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, and UV/visible spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. The structure of [Ru(IV)(TTP)(NH-p-C6H4Cl)2 . CH2Cl2 was determined by X-ray crystallography. The Ru-N bond length and the Ru-N-C angle of the Ru-NHAr moiety are 1.956(7) A and 135.8(6) degrees, respectively.  相似文献

The Poynting vector and the full-vectorial H and E-field profiles are considered for use in nanoscale silicon waveguides in this article. This paper reveals that the mode profile of a circular silicon nanowire is not circular and also has a strong axial field component. From the analysis, the characteristics of single mode operation and the vector field profiles of both circular and planar silicon nanowires are presented. The modal birefringence of rectangular silicon nanowires and power density in low-index region of a slot-type waveguide and designs of a compact polarization rotator are also presented in this work.  相似文献

Bis(N-ethylideneethanamine)ruthenium(ii) porphyrins, [Ru11(Por)(N(Et)=CHMe)2] (Por=TTP, 4-Cl-TPP), were prepared by the reaction of dioxoruthenium(VI) porphyrins with triethylamine in approximately 85% yields. The reaction between dioxoruthenium(VI) porphyrins and benzophenone imine afforded bis(diphenylmethyleneamido)ruthenium(IV) porphyrins, [Ru(IV)(Por)(N=CPh2)2] (Por=TTP, 3,4,5-MeO-TPP), in approximately 65% yields. These new classes of metalloporphyrins were characterized by 1H NMR, UV/Vis, and IR spectroscopy as well as by mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The X-ray crystallographic structures of [Ru(II)(TTP)(N(Et)=CHMe)2] and [Ru(IV)(3,4,5-MeO-TPP)(N=CPh2)2] revealed an axial Ru-N bond length of 2.115(6) A for the imine complex and 1.896(8) A for the methyleneamido complex. Each of the N=CPh2 axial groups in [Ru(IV)(3,4,5-MeO-TPP)(N=CPh2)2] adopts a linear coordination mode with a corresponding Ru-N-C angle of 175.9(9)degrees. Spectral and structural studies revealed essentially single bonding character for the bis(imine) complexes but a multiple bonding character for the bis(methyleneamido) complexes with respect to their axial Ru-N bonds.  相似文献

Two fluorophore-nitrilotriacetic acid conjugates, Pro-Q Sapphire 365 and Pro-Q Sapphire 488 oligohistidine gel stains, have been developed for the fluorescence detection of fusion proteins containing oligohistidine tags directly in sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gels, without the requirement for electroblotting, reporter enzymes or secondary detection reagents. Pro-Q Sapphire 365 oligohistidine gel stain exhibits bright-blue fluorescence (emission maximum = 450 nm) when illuminated with UV-A or UV-B light from a standard ultraviolet transilluminator. Pro-Q Sapphire 488 oligohistidine gel stain exhibits bright-green fluorescence (emission maximum = 515 nm) when illuminated with visible light from a laser-based gel scanner equipped with a 470 nm second-harmonic generation (SHG) or 488 nm argon-ion laser source. Typically, 25-65 ng of oligohistidine-tagged fusion protein in whole cell lysates is detectable using either stain. After documenting the fluorescence signal from the Pro-Q Sapphire dyes, gels may be post-stained with the red-fluorescent SYPRO Ruby protein gel stain in order to reveal the total protein pattern.  相似文献

Treatment of [M(Buppy)2Cl]2 (M=Ir (1), Rh (2); BuppyH=2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)pyridine) with Na(Et2NCS2), K[S2P(OMe)2], and K[N(Ph2PS)2]2 afforded monomeric [Ir(Buppy)2(SS)] (SS=Et2NCS2 (3), S2P(OMe)2 (4), N(PPh2S)2 (5)) and [Rh(Buppy)2(SS)] (SS=Et2NCS2 (6), S2P(OMe)2 (7), N(PPh2S)2 (8)), respectively. Reaction of 1 with Na[N(PPh2Se)2] gave [Ir(Buppy)2{N(PPh2Se)2}] (9). The crystal structures of 3, 4, 7, and 8 have been determined. Treatment of 1 or 2 with AgOTf (OTf=triflate) followed by reaction with KSCN gave dinuclear [{M(Buppy)2}2(μ-SCN)2] (M=Ir (10), Rh (11)), in which the SCN ligands bind to the two metal centers in a μ-S,N fashion. Interaction of 1 and 2 with [Et4N]2[WQ4] gave trinuclear heterometallic complexes [{Ir(Buppy)2}2(μ-WQ4)] (Q=S (12), Se (13)) and [{Rh(Buppy)2}2{(μ-WQ)4}] (Q=S (14), Se (15)), respectively. Hydrolysis of 12 led to formation of [{Ir(Buppy)2}2{W(O)(μ-S)23-S)}] (16) that has been characterized by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

We investigate the liquid structure, ion hydration, and some thermodynamic properties associated with the rigid geometry approximation to water by applying ab initio molecular dynamics simulations (AIMD) with the Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE) exchange-correlation functional at T = 320 K. We vary the rigid water geometry in order to locate a class of practical water models that yield reasonable liquid structure and dynamics, and to examine the progression of AIMD-predicted water behavior as the OH bond length varies. Water constrained at the optimal PBE gas phase geometry yields reasonable pair correlation functions. The predicted liquid phase pressure, however, is large ( approximately 8.0 kbar). Although the O-H bond in water should elongate when transferred from gas to the condensed phase, when it is constrained to 0.02, or even just 0.01 A longer than the optimal gas phase value, liquid water is predicted to be substantially overstructured compared to experiments. Zero temperature calculations of the thermodynamic properties of cubic ice underscore the sensitivity toward small variations in the O-H bond length. We examine the hydration structures of potassium, chloride, and formate ions in one rigid PBE water model. The results are in reasonable agreement with unconstrained AIMD simulations.  相似文献

A high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of vitamin U in tablets and capsules. Threonine was employed as the internal standard through the assay. The o-phthalaldehyde derivatives were prepared and then chromatographed isocratically on a reversed-phase C18 column. The optimum reaction time for both vitamin U and threonine at pH 10.5 is 5 min. Vitamin U and its major degradation product in the dosage forms, viz., methionine sulphoxide, were separated and quantified with a relative standard deviation of about 1%, using a fluorescence detector with excitation and emission wavelengths at 340 and 450 nm respectively. A linear relationship has been established between the peak area ratio of vitamin U/threonine and the concentration of vitamin U over the range of 2.5-50 micrograms/ml.  相似文献

A series of aliphatic and aromatic polytrithiocarbonates was prepared using a novel “one-pot” synthesis procedure employing a phase-transfer catalyst. The starting reagents were either an aliphatic or an aromatic dihalide and an excessive amount of carbon disulfide. The effects of the phase-transfer catalyst and reaction conditions on yield were studied. The structure and composition of the polymers and reaction side-products were determined from infrared, ultraviolet, 1H-NMR spectra, and elemental analyses. Over the past few decades, the realm of inorganic medicinal chemistry has been dominated by the study of the anti-cancer properties of transition metal complexes, particularly those based on platinum or ruthenium. However, comparatively less attention has been focused on the development of metal complexes for the treatment of inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Metal complexes possess a number of advantages that render them as attractive alternatives to organic small molecules for the development of therapeutic agents. In this perspective, we highlight recent examples in the development of transition metal complexes as modulators of inflammatory and autoimmune responses. The studies presented here serve to highlight the potential of transition metal complexes in modulating inflammatory or immune pathways in cells.  相似文献
