The Syntheses and Binding Properties of the Novel Organophosphorus Calixarenes

Phosphorylation of bromo, dialkylaminomethyl calix[4]resorcinarenes with various long chain aliphatic radicals with a number of P(III) derivatives i.e. triamido-and diamidophosphites, and polyhalogenides of P(III), P(IV) is described. A series of phosphoamide cavitands were obtained. Structures and properties of synthesized compounds were discussed on the basis of physical and quantum chemical methods.     

The Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of the Halogencyclenes' Phosphorylation

The phosphorylation reactions of the oxygen- and nitrogen-containing halocyclenes--3,4-dichloro-5-hydroxyfuranone, 3,4-dichloro-5-substi- tuted pyrrolinon-2-ones and N-phenyl-4,5 dichloropyridazin-2-one by 3 -phosphorus compounds--trialkylphoshphites, triphenylphosphine, and some P-functionalized derivatives of the trivalent phosphorus are studied. The reactions' mechanisms are discussed; the possible and preferable reactions' routes and the relative thermodynamic stabilities of the products and intermediates are estimated via the quantum-chemical methods.     

Addition of Benzodioxahalogenophosphoranes to the Carbonyl Group: New Phosphoranes and their Reactivity

Abstract

Halogenophosphoranes catPX₃ (X = C1, Br) (3), catPBr₂Y [Y = CHF₂CF₂CH₂(4), F(5), OCH=CBr₂ (6), CN (7), cat = C₆H₄O₂-o] react with aldehydes containing electron-withdrawing groups (CZ₃CHO, Z = C1, Br) in solvent to form the products of insertion in P-X bond. The structure of compounds (12–15) and their diastereomeric composition were determined by the NMR ¹H, ¹³C, and ³¹P spectroscopy. Phosphoranes (8–11) disproportionate to PX₃ and cat₂POCHXCZ₃ (X, 2 = Br, Br; C1, Br) (16, 17). Dibromophosphoranes (4–7) and monobromophosphorane (3) are also added to the carbonyl group of CZ₃CHO to form unsymmetric P(V) derivatives catPBr(OCHBrCZ₃)Y (18, 19) and (16, 17, 20–25). The thermal behaviour of compounds (18, 19) was investigated.     

Novel Naphthol‐Based Bicyclic Phosphonates

Condensation of naphthol‐1 and naphthol‐2 with 2‐ethoxyvinyphosphonic acid dichloroanhydride in boiling toluene in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid has resulted in high yields of unknown bicyclic phosphonates. Composition and structure of the products obtained were confirmed according to ¹H and ³¹P nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopy, and X‐ray analysis.     

An unusual reaction of 2‐ethoxyethenylphosphonic dichloride with resorcinol and its derivatives: Synthesis of bicyclic phosphonates with endocyclic P–C bond

The condensation of 2‐ethoxyethenyl‐ phosphonic dichloride with resorcinol and its derivatives in dichloromethane in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid results in the formation of new bicyclic phosphonates with an endocyclic P C bond. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Formation of phosphorus‐containing cage structures in the reaction of 2‐ethoxyvinylphosphonic acid dichloroanhydride with resorcinol and its derivatives

The scheme of formation of bicyclic phosphonates 3 synthesized on the basis of resorcinol and its derivatives was suggested based on the model reactions of dichloroanhydride 1 with 3‐methoxyphenol 7 in the presence of triethylamine with a variable ratio of reagents. Composition and structure of the products obtained were confirmed according to ¹H and ³¹P NMR, IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X‐ray analysis. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
