The problem of nonlinear oscillations of the finite amplitude of an uncharged drop of an ideal incompressible conducting liquid in an external uniform electrostatic field is solved for the first time by analytical asymptotic methods. The problem is solved in an approximation quadratic in amplitude of the initial deformation of the equilibrium shape of the drop and in eccentricity of its equilibrium spheroidal deformation. Compared with the case of nonlinear oscillations of charged drops in the absence of the field, the curvature of the vertices of uncharged drops nonlinearly oscillating in the field is noticeably higher, whereas the number of resonant situations (in the sense of internal resonant interaction of modes) is much smaller.  相似文献

The mechanisms of photoluminescence excitation of Mn2+ ions in ZnS crystals have been investigated on the basis of complex analysis of the temperature dependences of the photoluminescence and photoluminescence-excitation spectra of ZnS:Mn crystals. The activation energy of a manganese luminescence center was estimated at Ea = 0.17 ± 0.05 eV. The photorefractive properties of polymer composites based on aromatic polyimide and single-wall carbon nanotubes are studied using radiation at a wavelength of 1064 nm. It is found that the nanotubes possess photoelectric sensitivity in this spectral region and that the kinetic photorefractive characteristics of the polymer composites are entirely determined by the photogeneration and charge transport characteristics of the layers. The two-beam gain coefficient of the signal beam measured for a composite consisting of aromatic polyimide and 0.25 wt % of single-wall carbon nanotubes in a constant electric field E0 = 79 V/μm is equal to 84 cm?1 and exceeds the optical absorption coefficient by 59 cm?1. The refractive index modulation is equal to Δn = 0.004 at E0 = 54 V/μm.  相似文献

Magnetic-field-induced phase transitions in single crystals of the rare-earth ferroborates GdFe3(BO3)4 and NdFe3(BO3)4 have been studied by measuring magnetoelectric dependences and torque curves. These phase transitions can serve as one of the possible mechanisms for magnetic control of electric polarization. Magnetic phase transitions in GdFe3(BO3)4 are analyzed theoretically.  相似文献

Ferroelectric composite two-dimensional ferroelectric/aluminum oxide nanostructures were studied. A porous aluminum oxide matrix was used as a template into which a ferroelectric precursor was introduced, followed by annealing. A general method for solving the problem of quantization of a top is proposed that allows for finding the Hamiltonian eigenfunctions in the form of polynomials of various degree n in the Cartesian coordinates with the use of the Lamé functions. All three coordinates x, y, and z are equivalently involved in computations, as well as their relations with ellipsoidal coordinates, which makes the computations symmetric.  相似文献

We develop a method based on Huygens’ principle for calculation of the traveling-wave field in a cylindrical oversized waveguide with smooth and shallow wall corrugations with allowance for diffraction by the nonsymmetric end of the waveguide. Algorithms for synthesizing the specified field distribution on the surface of such a waveguide are proposed. An electrostatic interaction between two separate, grounded, uncharged, perfectly conducting spheres of different radii in a uniform electrostatic field is investigated. It is shown that at a small center-to-center distance of the spheres, the force of the polarization interaction between the spheres depends appreciably more weakly on that distance in comparison to the force of the electrostatic interaction of two elementary dipoles as it should be in view of the interaction between two like polarization charges.  相似文献

The diffraction efficiency and the recording and relaxation times of dynamic reflection holograms, recorded in CdF2 crystals with bistable centers are studied experimentally in the temperature range 20–100°C. In the model experiments which measured the quality of the wave reflected from the hologram, the dynamic wavefront distortions are demonstrated to be efficiently compensated using a holographic corrector based on these crystals. CdF2 crystals with bistable centers are likely to be useful in solving problems of correction of laser light wavefront and image correction in observation telescopes with nonideal primary mirrors.  相似文献
