The reflecting of a single attosecond pulse from a periodic Mo/Si multilayer was investigated. By changing the number of bi-layers, the periodic multilayer showed greatly different spectral and temporal responses of the attosecond pulse reflection, which has been discussed in detail in this paper. The capability of attosecond pulse reflection of the periodic multilayers with different bi-layer numbers has been evaluated using suitable temporal parameters. In addition, the condition for obtaining high-efficiency reflected pulses has been analyzed by comparing the pulse responses of the periodic multilayer with different layers. The transfer-matrix method together with the fast Fourier transform has been used in our simulation.  相似文献

Strong resonant enhancements of the charge-order and spin-order superstructure-diffraction intensities in La1.8Sr0.2NiO4 are observed when x-ray energies in the vicinity of the Ni L2,3 absorption edges are used. The pronounced photon-energy and polarization dependences of these diffraction intensities allow for a critical determination of the local symmetry of the ordered spin and charge carriers. We found that not only the antiferromagnetic order but also the charge-order superstructure resides within the NiO2 layers; the holes are mainly located on in-plane oxygens surrounding a Ni2+ site with the spins coupled antiparallel in close analogy to Zhang-Rice singlets in the cuprates.  相似文献

A series of double molybdates phosphors AEu(MoO4)2 (A = Li, Na, K and Ag) have been prepared by sol-gel method. Their crystal structure and luminescent properties have also been investigated in a comparable way. The crystallization processes of the phosphor precursors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) was also used to characterize the shape and size distribution of the phosphors. Samples except KEu(MoO4)2 showed tetragonal scheelite structure in the range of our experiments, and no phase transition appeared. Phosphor KEu(MoO4)2 possessed two structures, and the phase transition took place at about 800°C. All samples with high purity could be obtained at about 500°C for 5 hours, and they all showed intense red light peaked at 616 nm originated from 5D07F2 emission of Eu3+ under the excitation of 465 nm or 394 nm light. The excitation spectra of phosphors AEu(MoO4)2 (A = Li, Na, and K) are composed of a strong broad charge transfer (CT) band and some sharp lines, and the relative intensity of CT band, the two strongest absorption lines at 395 nm and 465 nm are comparative, so these three phosphors are good red phosphor candidates for violet or blue LEDs. For the excitation spectrum of phosphor AgEu(MoO4)2, intensities of CT band and the absorption line at 395 nm are much weaker than that of line at 465 nm, thus phosphor AgEu(MoO4)2 is only suit for GaN-based blue LED.  相似文献

We propose a novel transmitter and receiver for differential quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) format. The impact of the first-order polarization mode dispersion (PMD) on systems using DQPSK with 100- Gb/s non-return-to-zero (NRZ) or return-to-zero (RZ) format is investigated. Through computing the eye openings of DQPSK formats under different PMD conditions, it is found that NRZ DQPSK, as compared with RZ DQPSK, incurs smaller eye opening due to PMD. Carrier-suppressed return-to-zero (CSRZ) DQPSK format has better tolerance than RZ DQPSK format to PMD for a given bit rate.  相似文献

A novel potentially useful second harmonic generation (SHG) organometallic nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal: cadmium mercury thiocyanate bis(N-methylformamide), CdHg(SCN)4(C2H5NO)2 (CMTN), has been prepared, and large high-optical-quality single crystals with dimensions up to 30 ×27×9 mm3 have been grown by the temperature-lowering method. Its structural, physicochemical and optical properties are characterized by elemental analyses, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopy, thermal analysis, powder SHG measurements and UV/Vis/NIR transmission. The specific heat has been determined to be 515.5 J?mol?1?K?1 at 300 K. CMTN possesses good physicochemical stability up to 128.5°C, exhibits powder SHG efficiencies 0.8 times that of urea and its UV transparency cutoff is 358 nm. By the use of the DFT/B3LYP/6-31G(d) method, the microscopic second order NLO behavior of CMTN has been investigated by computing the first-order hyperpolarizability together with that of CdHg(SCN)4 (CMTC) and CdHg(SCN)4(C3H8O2) (CMTG) crystals. A software synchronous optical sampling system is constructed based on sum frequency generation (SFG) in periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN). Five gigahertz of a non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data signal is sampled by sampling pulse with the repetition frequency of 29.31 MHz. The power of the SFG light is set at 23 dBm, and an eye diagram is successfully recovered. A band-pass filter is added before the sampling pulse is subjected to erbium-doped fiber amplifier to reduce gain competition and ensure a high power level of SFG.  相似文献

Antiferroelectric (Pb, La) (Zr, Sn, Ti)O3 (PLZST) single crystals have been successfully grown by flux method using PbO–PbF2–B2O3 as the flux. The obtained crystals are pale yellow in color and translucent. Domain structures, dielectric constants and optical transmission measurements have been performed on the 〈001〉-oriented PLZST single crystals. Two types of domains, namely, 90° and 180° domains, are observed. The extinction of 90° domains at P/A: 0° reveals a tetragonal structure in the crystal. The sequence of phase transitions from antiferroelectric to ferroelectric and then paraelectric has been established with increasing temperature. According to the modified Curie–Weiss relationship, the PLZST crystal is in an intermediate state between normal and relaxor antiferroelectrics. The broad optical transparent region (from 0.4 to 7.0 μm) and high optical transmittance (up to 65%) indicate that PLZST crystals are promising for optical uses.  相似文献

Realistic representation of stochastic inputs associated with various sources of uncertainty in the simulation of fluid flows leads to high dimensional representations that are computationally prohibitive. We investigate the use of adaptive ANOVA decomposition as an effective dimension–reduction technique in modeling steady incompressible and compressible flows with nominal dimension of random space up to 100. We present three different adaptivity criteria and compare the adaptive ANOVA method against sparse grid, Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods to evaluate its relative efficiency and accuracy. For the incompressible flow problem, the effect of random temperature boundary conditions (modeled as high-dimensional stochastic processes) on the Nusselt number is investigated for different values of correlation length. For the compressible flow, the effects of random geometric perturbations (simulating random roughness) on the scattering of a strong shock wave is investigated both analytically and numerically. A probabilistic collocation method is combined with adaptive ANOVA to obtain both incompressible and compressible flow solutions. We demonstrate that for both cases even draconian truncations of the ANOVA expansion lead to accurate solutions with a speed-up factor of three orders of magnitude compared to Monte Carlo and at least one order of magnitude compared to sparse grids for comparable accuracy.  相似文献

Nonlocal material response distinctively changes the optical properties of nano-plasmonic scatterers and waveguides. It is described by the nonlocal hydrodynamic Drude model, which – in frequency domain – is given by a coupled system of equations for the electric field and an additional polarization current of the electron gas modeled analogous to a hydrodynamic flow. Recent attempt to simulate such nonlocal model using the finite difference time domain method encountered difficulties in dealing with the grad–div operator appearing in the governing equation of the hydrodynamic current. Therefore, in these studies the model has been simplified with the curl-free hydrodynamic current approximation; but this causes spurious resonances. In this paper we present a rigorous weak formulation in the Sobolev spaces H(curl) for the electric field and H(div) for the hydrodynamic current, which directly leads to a consistent discretization based on Nédélec’s finite element spaces. Comparisons with the Mie theory results agree well. We also demonstrate the capability of the method to handle any arbitrary shaped scatterer.  相似文献
