The construction of non-Abelian affine Toda models is discussed in terms of its underlying Lie algebraic structure. The possibility of applying the physical principles underlying the operation of a solid-state terahertz oscillator to plasma gas-discharge media is analyzed. A new method of electromagnetic wave generation in the terahertz frequency range is proposed. Crystalline modifications of 8-aza-D-homogon-1,3,5(10),13-tetraen-12,17a-dione have been investigated by IR spectroscopy and x-ray structural analysis. It is shown that this compound crystallizes from solutions of chloroform with hexane in the form of a solvate comprised of chelate hydrogen bonds between the hydrogen atom of the chloroform molecule and the oxygen atoms of the carbonyl groups of the 8-azasteroid molecule. A relation between the changes in the characteristic absorption bands of the CH2-, C=O-, and I=C groups and the structure of the crystalline modifications has been established. 相似文献

Systems that involve N identical interacting particles under quantum confinement appear throughout many areas of physics, including chemical, condensed matter, and atomic physics. In this paper, we present the methods of dimensional perturbation theory, a powerful set of tools that uses symmetry to yield simple results for studying such many-body systems. We present a detailed discussion of the dimensional continuation of the N-particle Schrödinger equation, the spatial dimension D→∞ equilibrium (D0) structure, and the normal-mode (D−1) structure. We use the FG matrix method to derive general, analytical expressions for the many-body normal-mode vibrational frequencies, and we give specific analytical results for three confined N-body quantum systems: the N-electron atom, N-electron quantum dot, and N-atom inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein condensate with a repulsive hard-core potential. 相似文献

Abnormalities in the cochlear function usually cause broadening of the auditory filters which reduces the speech intelligibility. An attempt to apply a spectral enhancement algorithm has been undertaken to improve the identification of Polish vowels by subjects with cochlear-based hearing-impairment. The identification scores of natural (unprocessed) vowels and spectrally enhanced (processed) vowels has been measured for hearing-impaired subjects. It has been found that spectral enhancement improves vowel scores by about 10% for those subjects, however, a wide variation in individual performance among subjects has been observed. The overall vowels identification scores obtained were 85% for natural vowels and 96% for spectrally enhanced vowels. 相似文献

The notion of a phase space in classical mechanics is well known. The extension of this concept to field theory however, is a challenging endeavor, and over the years numerous proposals for such a generalization have appeared in the literature. In this paper We review a Hamiltonian formulation of Lagrangian field theory based on an extension to infinite dimensions of J.-M. Souriau's symplectic approach to mechanics. Following G. Zuckerman, we state our results in terms of the modern geometric theory of differential equations and the variational bicomplex. A general class of analytical solutions of the lattice Boltzmann equation is derived for two-dimensional, steady-state unidirectional
flows. A subset of the solutions that verifies the corresponding Navier-Stokes equations is given. It is pointed out that
this class includes, e.g., the Couette and the Poiseuille flow but not, e.g., the basic Kolmogorov flow. For steady-state

In this paper some topics concerning quadrilaterals will be presented. I hope they will animate teachers for more problem orientation in mathematics education. First we will reflect about different types of convex and non-convex quadrilaterals and possibilities of ordering them. Then we focus on middle-quadrilaterals and types of quadrilaterals with special middle-quadrilaterals as well as their logical ordering.
