A simple synthesis has been devised for the tripodal 3,3,4-tetraamine ligand N{(CH2)3NH2}2{(CH2)4NH2} (L). This ligand forms
a copper(II) complex, [Cu (LH)Cl2]ClO4 (7), the structure of which has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The cation contains
a five-coordinate copper atom, bonded to two chloride ions, the two propylamine groups and the tertiary nitrogen atom of the
ligand; the arrangement is a distorted trigonal bipyramid, in which the two primary amine groups occupy the axial positions.
The butylamine group of the ligand does not coordinate to copper but is protonated. It is involved in hydrogen bonding to
the perchlorate ion. The e.p.r. spectrum of [Cu(dpt)Cl2] is very similar to that of (7), suggesting that it also has a trigonal
bipyramidal structure.

A new MnIII‐Schiff base complex, [MnL(OH2)](ClO4) ( 1 ) (H2L = N, N′‐bis‐(3‐Br‐5‐Cl‐salicylidene)‐1, 2‐diimino‐2‐methylethane), an inorganic model of the catalytic center (OEC, Oxygen Evolving Complex) in photosystem II (PSII), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and EPR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, magnetic susceptibility measurement and the study of its redox properties by cyclic and normal pulse voltammetry. This complex mimics reactivity (showing a relevant photolytic activity), and also some structural characteristics (parallel‐mode MnIII EPR signal from partially assembled OEC cluster) of the natural OEC. The complex 1 was found to rearrange in solution into a crystallographically solved square‐pyramidal complex, [MnLL′] ( 2 ) (HL′ = 6‐bromo‐4‐chloro‐2‐cyanophenol), through a process, which probably liberates radical species (detected by EPR), and provokes a C—N bond cleavage in the ligand. A photo‐radical mechanism is discussed to explain this rearrangement. 相似文献

Halogen bonding is an intermolecular interaction capable of being used to direct extended structures. Typical halogen‐bonding systems involve a noncovalent interaction between a Lewis base, such as an amine, as an acceptor and a halogen atom of a halofluorocarbon as a donor. The direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide offers a potentially green route to the production of this important commodity chemical. Early studies showed that Pd is a suitable catalyst, but recent work indicated that the addition of Au enhances the activity and selectivity significantly. The addition of a third metal using impregnation as a facile preparation method was thus investigated. The addition of a small amount of Pt to a CeO2‐supported AuPd (weight ratio of 1:1) catalyst significantly enhanced the activity in the direct synthesis of H2O2 and decreased the non‐desired over‐hydrogenation and decomposition reactions. The addition of Pt to the AuPd nanoparticles influenced the surface composition, thus leading to the marked effects that were observed on the catalytic formation of hydrogen peroxide. In addition, an experimental approach that can help to identify the optimal nominal ternary alloy compositions for this reaction is demonstrated. 相似文献

The condensation of 2′-formylbiphenyl-2-carboxylic acid 4 with (S)-valinol proceeds under kinetic control to give a major product, (4bR,7S,aS)-6,7-dihydro-7-isopropyldibenz[c,e]oxazolo[3,2-a]azepin-9(4bH)-one 6a (84%), in which the biaryl axis has the (S)-configuration. Heating 6a at 140°C with a catalytic amount of acid gives rise to an equilibrium dominated by the diastereoisomeric (4bS,7S)-lactam 6b (6a:6b ratio 27:73), in which the biaryl unit has the (R)-configuration.
