Recent reports demonstrate that applications of the biopolymer lignin can be helped by the use of a fraction of the lignin which has an optimal molecular weight range. Unfortunately, the current methods used to determine lignin's molecular weight are inconsistent or not widely accessible. Here, an approach that relies on 2D DOSY NMR analysis is described that provides a measure of lignin's molecular weight. Consistent results were obtained using this well-established NMR technique across a range of lignins. 相似文献

Zusammenfassung Eine neuentwickelte Methode für untere Schranken und das Rayleigh-Ritzverfahren für obere Schranken werden von den Verfassern dazu angewandt, die Eigenfrequenzen der Schwingungen von dünnen gleichförmigen, rechteckigen Platten mit freien Rändern abzuschätzen. Die Anwendbarkeit des Verfahrens für untere Schranken wird hervorgehoben, und es werden Berechnungen für eine Symmetrieklasse von rechteckigen sowie für eine Unterklasse von quadratischen Platten angegeben. Die dadurch entstehenden Schranken führen zu einer Verbesserung bisher veröffentlichter Resultate und weisen auf die Brauchbarkeit der Methode für untere Schranken hin.

Summary We consider a class of forced delay differential equations in which the delay is given by /2 and investigate the problem of finding its special periodic solutions. We first approximate these by a Rayleigh-Ritz-Galerkin sequence. Our second method introduces an averaged model thought to give a qualitative approximation to the solution behavior. The effects of cubic and quintic nonlinearities are compared.

Als zweite Methode benutzen wir ein Mittelungsverfahren zur qualitativen Approximation des Lösungsverhaltens. Die Effekte von Nichtlinearitäten dritter und fünfter Ordnung werden verglichen.
