A textile dye effluent containing chiefly reactive azo dyes has been treated electrochemically for discoloration and COD (chemical oxygen demand) reduction at different current densities, flow rates and dilution. Experiments have been carried out in a thin electrochemical reactor under single pass conditions using a dimensionally stable catalytic anode (DSA) and a stainless steel cathode.  相似文献

The synthesis and tissue distribution studies in rats of tetra[3H]-hydroberberine ([3H] 2 ) and 8-(p-[125I]iodobenzyl)tetrahydroberberine ([125I] 6 ) are described. Compound 2 was synthesized by sodium borohydride reduction of berberine hydrochloride ( 1 ). Treatment of berberine hydrochloride with p-bromo-benzylmagnesium bromide gave 8-(p-bromobenzyl)dihydroberberine ( 4 ) which after sodium borohydride reduction and iodine-125 bromine exchange gave [125I] 6 . The unsubstituted tetrahydro compound [3H] 2 showed significantly higher brain uptake (2.2% dose/gm after 5 minutes) as compared to the corresponding 8-substituted derivative [125I] 6 . Both radiolabeled compounds washed out from the brain relatively quickly.  相似文献

A new manganese coordination complex of formula [Mn(2-picolinate)2·2H2O]·H2O based on 2-picolinic acid has been synthesized hydrothermally at 120 °C for 48 h in presence of ionic liquid tetraethylammonium hydroxide (25% methanolic solution). 1 crystallizes in monoclinic crystal system and is hydrogen-bonded metal-organic network in which aqua ligands are instrumental in deciding structural features. The reported complex 1 is insoluble in almost all organic solvents as well as in water and shows good thermal stability upto 450 °C.  相似文献

Assembly of orotic acid (H3Or, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-2,6-dioxo-4-pyrimidinecarboxylic) and Cd(NO3)·6H2O yielded a coordination polymer, [(Cd(Hor)·2.5H2O)2]n (1), which has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, TGA, and ?uorescence spectra. Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses reveal that 1 is a hydrogen-bonded binuclear Cd-orotate coordination polymer in which both Cd2+ ions have different coordination environments with identical distorted octahedral geometry. Crystal data for 1: monoclinic, space group P21/n, a = 7.0209(10) Å, b = 13.974(2) Å, c = 17.541(3) Å, β = 98.842(2)°, V = 1700.5(4) Å, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0269, wR2 = 0.0612, θmax = 25.960. The emission spectrum of the Cd-complex recorded with 265 nm excitation wavelength reveals the complex has strong blue luminescence with the peak maximum 420 nm (2.95 eV) as a result of the nπ* and ππ* transitions on the H3Or ligand.  相似文献

Hermonionic acid and its decarboxylated product have been isolated from Garciniaquaesita. 13C NMR spectral and chemical evidence indicate that hermonionic acid is 2-0-[2-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-3-methoxy- 4-hydroxy-5-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl]-4-methoxy-5-(3-methylbut-2-enyl-6-hydroxybenzoic acid. We present a fiber-based source of polarization-entangled photons that is well suited for quantum communication applications in the 1550 nm band of standard fiber-optic telecommunications. Polarization entanglement is created by pumping a nonlinear-fiber Sagnac interferometer with two time-delayed orthogonally polarized pump pulses and subsequently removing the time distinguishability by passing the parametrically scattered signal and idler photon pairs through a piece of birefringent fiber. Coincidence detection of the signal and idler photons yields biphoton interference with visibility greater than 90%, while no interference is observed in direct detection of either signal or idler photons. All four Bell states can be prepared with our setup and we demonstrate violations of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt form of Bell's inequality by up to 10 standard deviations of measurement uncertainty.  相似文献

Previous work performed on electron-irradiated Li2O crystals has demonstrated the simultaneous formation of two populations of colloids of metallic lithium, one is associated with oxygen bubbles and a typical size of >10 microm, while the other one consists of nanoclusters in the range of <10 nm. In the present neutron scattering investigation these small colloids are characterized in detail based on a thorough analysis of distortion scattering around Bragg peaks. It is shown that the small lithium colloids are slightly elongated precipitates with typical dimensions of around approximately 5 nm. For the large lithium colloids a well-defined orientation relation with respect to the Li2O matrix has been determined.  相似文献
