Tris(hydroxymethyl)nitromethane in phospholipids synthesis

The tris(hydroxymethyl)nitromethane acetone derivative was applied as an initial compound for phospholipid syntheses. The role of the conditions for the undisturbed continuity of a medium in the description of the strained state of solids

Equations derived in the paper enable the strained state of solids under various agencies to be described from a unique point of view. Some effects of macroscopic plasticity of crystals are discussed on the basis of equations formulated in the paper. One possible way of employing the theory to describe nonstationary strained states is proposed.     

Pioneering examples of preparative phosphorylation of pentaerythritol

The transacetalization of dimethoxyethane with tripentaerythritol affords respective trimethylene diol. The oligools derived from the tripentaerytritol and its trimethylene derivative were used in the syntheses of unusual oligophosphites that might be interesting as ligands for intricate metal complex constructions.     

Simulation of the formation of a glide band

The initial stage in the development of a glide band in NaCl crystals is simulated. The process of double cross slip of segments of screw dislocations was examined according to the scheme proposed by Wiedersich. A quantitative estimate of the parameters characterizing the development of the glide band is made: structures and rate of expansion of the band, average slip distance of the dislocations, dislocation density, and others. The degree to which the different parameters affect the development of the glide band is established: ratio of the edge and screw dislocation velocities, as well as the lattice friction stress of dislocations.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshykh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 9, pp. 82–96, September, 1981.     

The first representatives of dipentaerythrite perphosphites

The first representatives of dipentaerythrite perphosphites were prepared by phosphorylation of aliphatic hexaol dipentaerythrite with 1,3-alkylenchloro-and 1,3-alkylenamidophosphites. The processes of oxidation, sulfurization, hydrolysis, and complex formation of the prepared compounds were investigated.
